Information for the official TWST soundrack

Today the official soundtrack list has been revealed. The soundtrack is consisted with 4 discs, and has a total of 149 songs from the game. The release date is May 29th, costing 4620 yen(including tax)

The discs are consisted of what is written bellow

Disc 1 - Basic BGMs you can hear throughout the game, and Happy Ending

Disc 2 - Main story BGMs from the Prologue to Chapter 4

Disc 3 - Main story BGMs from Chapter 5 to Chapter 7, and event BGMs from Beanfest 1 to 1st anniversary

Disc 4 - Event BGMs from Beanfest 2 to Playful Land, and Piece of my World

Through the soundtrack list you can check the song titles of the bgm which isn't in the guest room shop, like the bgm for Chapter 7 and also other events. Strangely, Neige's song from Chapter 5 is nowhere to be seen...or I have a bad eye sight

Also, there is a teaser video which you can hear some of the soundtrack in advance(Japan only)I HAD TO USE VPN GOD DAMN YOU ANIPLEX FOR BLOCKING OTHER REGIONS

Through this video there was two things I noticed

1. Meleanor's lullaby is called "The Dawn of a Dream"

To be precise, this is the no vocal bgm version, not Meleanor singing. Therefore it might be just what the bgm is named, not what the lullaby is called, but for now I suppose this is what we can call the lullaby

2. Piece of my World might be in full version

The final track of disc 4 is Piece of my World, and listening to it I noticed the music doesn't stop after verse 1 being finished...which means this version in the soundtrack might be the full version

I guess this is all I can say. I'll also leave other links which are related to the soundtrack. Hope they'll be helpful

Okay, I’m gonna go on a small theory and rant. If I made some mistakes or it has been debunked by future canon lore. I will change or remove it, just let me know nicely. And yes, this will contain spoilers of the Japanese server’s recent chapters and/or events that has been translated. Also, I have kinda stopped playing Twisted Wonderland due to the whole… “D1sney” Fiasco, and I know Tokyo D1sney and D1sney itself are like a branch and main trunk but… for morality sake’s, I’ve stopped playing but I still watch the videos people upload. Again, if I have made a mistake or something else, I will correct myself or remove the certain content.

My theory is that Yuu (us) will be “dyed” by our magical friends, and why/how we got to Twisted Wonderland.

I know it sounds weird, but let me explain.

It was mentioned by the mirror that we are Colorless, empty, and magicless. And how the mirror sorts people into their respective dormitories by “color” of the soul and magic. That why I believe Yuu (us) is like a blank canvas waiting to be painted especially since we had multiple mentions about the blots resemble black ink and with our recent encounter with creatures that used black ink in our dream encounter with Mickey.

We are to take the unstable energy/colors and seal it within ourselves. Cleansing the energy and quite possibly return it to stabilized Mana. We are a catalyst to help with that especially since STYX has been researching a way to utilize this energy as a new source but it’s been so long and they haven’t made a breakthrough. That’s where we come in, an empty container to store and turn it into Mana; returning it to the World. But this would be too much as we are mortal and we are absorbing powerful magic from our stupidly strong friends. So we would succumb to a high energy, and that why we have Grim by our side. He is probably there to help us to digest the OverBlot with us, but things got out of hand instead and Grim ended up taking it all for himself which is why we saw that scary, Chimeric Grim in the beginning of the story. And quite potentially being fused with Grim. Either because, well, Grim “ate” us or because our “empty” body unconsciously tried to absorb the OverBlot into ourselves but ended up getting fused with Grim.

So why did Yuu (us) came into this world?

Yuu (us) was probably summoned by maybe the world (Twisted Wonderland) and/or the hopes and prayers from other timelines of us (Yuus) with our friends. Not only do these different Yuus represent all of us, but possible different timelines of what could be taken place that may have reached a “bad ending”. That’s why I think the Yuu in the video game is the last hope. Think as Twisted Wonderland like a storybook with multiple different Yuu (MC) who is like a blank page that has to be written/painted/dyed with colors and help save this story from self-destruction from the characters/people living within this book and reaching a bad ending. With us being a new empty page we could potentially rewrite the bad ending and gain a happy ending. There has been so many mentions of ink, color, book, pages, stories, and many more because of constant monsters with ink in their designs and abilities. And many characters keep mentioning about happy endings and Crowley’s voice at the beginning sounds very desperate, like he saw something horrible in the future and is trying to prevent it.

Crowley may be the person who summoned us but as all things are like, summoning a living person from “another world” would be proven too much for him and he would show physical signs of using too much magic like what happened to Vil and Riddle. Or worse, unalived. So another source would be… Night Raven College itself. Maybe even the entirely of Sage’s Island. Again, Twisted Wonderland itself might be helping too. It just needs someone to help open the “door” on the other side. The Twisted Wonderland provided the “money” while Crowley “opened” the “door” and Night Raven College helped with the “transportation”.

For every Yuu to come to Twisted Wonderland, a black carriage with two black horses came to pick us up. I’ve tried looking up the meaning and symbolization of what a black horse means but all I got are vague answers but as most people could gain a meaning from deconstructing the Black Horse with the Black Carriage. The simplest answer I got is: Black means d3ath, and the horse symbolizes freedom, spirit, and transportation. There has been countless stories of horses carrying us from one place to another. Even to mythical places even to the afterlife with various magical abilities. So, like any good isekai story. We got into an “accident”, perished, and was isekai-ed to Twisted Wonderland. Not by Trunk-kun this time, but by a Carriage pulled by two Black Horses. You know what else has a horse and represents d3ath? A Horsemen of the Apocalypse. So long story short; We di3d by the hands of the Black Carriage with Black Horses on purpose by Twisted Wonderland, Crowley, Night Raven College, and perhaps from other timelines’ desperate wishes and hopes. Got stuffed into a coffin which symbolizes d3ath as well (following another theory for the reason we got stuffed into a coffin is because we are “d3ad”) and get a happy ending.

And now getting to Magic and Mana, and overblot. The blots look like black paint or ink when you use your magic. And the blots, like how Crowley explained, is the “waste” produced from using Magic and it accumulates within the person’s body. Most average folks won’t overblot because you need an overwhelming amount of magic and extreme emotions. That’s how OverBlot happens. And going back to how Idia has mentioned how it is STYX’s goals to use the OverBlot energy as a new source of power but it’s been so long and they haven’t progressed as much. So let’s think of it another way, by also using real world analogy. Both Magic and Energy follow the same principles, Mana and Energy can’t just disappear, it just changes form. Into a sort of “waste” like stage. And like both STYX and our world, we are still trying to find ways to use this “waste” as an another source of energy to use. And that’s where we (Yuu) come in as the catalyst to help take this “waste”, “cleanse” it, and quite possibly return it into Mana or some safer energy back to the world. It’s also like how nature does it to, everything that is born in the ecosystem has a way to balance out and cleanse the environment.

And we (Yuu) have two ways of doing it, we either return to our world to properly “dispose” of this “waste” and it won’t harm our world too much since everyone there is magicless and won’t suffer”, or we stay stuck in Twisted Wonderland forever until we d13 in order to return the “waste” back into mana/safer energy.

And that’s my theory so far. It has way too many holes in it but it will evolve so long as we gain more bits and piece of canon lore. Feel free to add on more to my theory. Thank you for listening to me rant! Happy Twisted Wonderlanding! XD 💖

Twisted Entertainment News ～April Fools 2024～

The Aniplex Youtube Channel dropped a parody news segment for April Fools Day, which had Kazuki Furuta (Kalim) and Kaname Futaba (Jamil) as "commentators." A full official MMD clip of Absolutely Beautiful was shown, and afterwards, Furuta and Futaba "taught" the viewers back home how to do the dance. I don't normally do transcriptions of videos, but this one made me laugh with enjoyment that I wanted to make sure that everyone else could enjoy it too, especially since I know this video is region-locked. I've highlighted Furuta and Futaba's names with the colors for Kalim and Jamil's that I usually use for their vignettes. I've also added small commentary on their movements and expressions, which is not something I normally have to do for vignettes. I also only translated the "news" portion of the video and left out the final part, which was them returning to reality and talking about the monitors in the in-game shop that could be bought for the Guest Room. I hope this transcription is enjoyable for everyone else, too! Please check it out under the cut!

Newscaster Yasuda: Good evening to Twisted Wonderland and to all those who have found themselves transported here. It’s time for Twisted Entertainment News, where we report on all the hottest entertainment topics. I have with me today two very well-known commentators who have appeared on so many of the variety talk shows as of late: Kazuki Furuta-san and Kaname Futaba-san.

Commentator Kazuki Furuta: Good evening, I’m Kazuki Furuta. I’m beyond honored to have been asked to come on this show as a commentator. Thank you very much for inviting me.

Commentator Kaname Futaba: Good evening, I’m Kaname Futaba. You know, I really dig Twisted Entertainment News.

Furuta: I do hear you say that often.

Futaba: Yeah. I watch it every week, and even record it.

Furuta: Indeed.

Futaba: I’m really hoping we’ll have a ton of great things to talk about. Thanks for having me.

Yasuda: Well, let’s get right into today’s entertainment news. First, Magical Motors is finally venturing into space. Second, are the rumors that the Mysterious Amusement Park is closing true!? And finally, the Absolute Dance is the current breakout trend. Of these three topics, the Absolute Dance is probably the most eye-catching, so, Furuta-san, Futaba-san, have you heard of this dance before?

Furuta: Very much so. It is very popular even in my circles, so not a day goes by that I do not come across it.

Futaba: I’ve known about it for some time now, too. So, I guess it feels like the times have finally caught up.

Furuta: You’re so right.

Futaba: Yeah.

Yasuda: Now then, we’ve prepared a video to show what exactly this dance is all about. Please take a look.

Yasuda: So, this “Absolute Dance” originally comes from the dance movements of the song “Absolutely Beautiful.” It seems that thanks to the performance by Night Raven College stu－

Furuta: [interrupting] Night Raven College!

Yasuda: …Right. The students performed this song and dance at the school’s cultural festival and this garnered a lot of hype.

Furuta: [jumping in] Hype!

Yasuda: …Right. I do believe that this is a rather complicated dance that cannot be mastered just from watching it once. So, today I hoped to have our commentators, Furuta-san and Futaba-san, to show those of you watching this show at home how to perform it so that everyone can dance along.

Futaba: I see.

Furuta: Of course.

Yasuda: Furuta-san, I’ve heard that you may be a commentator, but you are also a very good dancer.

Furuta: [sounding like he wants to protest politely but is also smug at the praise] Ah, well― that is― by myself, I― [background music cuts] Yes, I am!

Yasuda: Right, thank you. And so, I was hoping we could receive an instructional demonstration from you on how this dance is performed.

Furuta: [politely but smugly trying to refute] Ah, that― Heh― Of course.

Yasuda: Wonderful, we would be so grateful.

Furuta: Of course! Now, I’ve chosen 4 specific points of the song to dance to in order to help anyone master the Absolute Dance. Those of you watching, please feel free to dance along!

Furuta: Now for the first dance point: I’ll start with the opening dance for the song.

Futaba: Just hold on a sec. That’s so amazing?! I’m so shocked. Like, especially the third part of the second-eighths was really good.

Furuta: The third part of the second-eighths, you mean this movement, yes? [shows off the specific dance move again]

Futaba: It’s fantastic! And this dance looks like it moves your entire body, so I bet it’s really good for your health, too.

Furuta: Oh yes, especially that movement. It uses the whole shoulder joint so I believe it could be good for relieving any stiffness in the shoulder.

Futaba: This is spectacular.

Furuta: Thank you very much.

Futaba: Man…

Furuta: Now then, I think it’s time to move onto the second part.

Futaba: [quietly, to himself] That was shocking.

Furuta: The second dance point:

Futaba: [quietly, to himself] I’m so shocked.

Furuta: Jamil’s― [turns to address Futaba] Oh, was it shocking?

Futaba: Yeah, totally shocking. Sorry.

Furuta: I’m so glad to hear that. [turns back to the camera] I'll now dance the part with Jamil’s rap.

Futaba: [quietly, to himself] Really shocking.

[Music begins to lead into Jamil's rap, Furuta prepares himself to start dancing]

Futaba: [quietly, to himself] Man, I’m still reeling from that shocker.

[Furuta starts by dancing Ace/Deuce's movements while Futaba stares in awe]

Futaba: No way...

[Furuta continues by dancing Kalim/Rook's movements while Futaba continues watching him in awe]

Futaba: This part… I mean, your dance was just astounding, don’t get me wrong. But… this voice rapping just now… I really like this voice!

Furuta: [turns to address Futaba] It’s a very familiar voice, isn’t it?

Futaba: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Furuta: [turns back to the camera] Almost like it feels really close to me, that’s right.

Futaba: It’s just so smooth.

Furuta: Smoothly, yes, the lyrics just come so smoothly.

Futaba: So smoothly.

Furuta: Yes, it just enters my mind so smoothly.

Futaba: It really gets me hyped.

Furuta: Just from the first sound, it just― [Furuta starts dancing] I can just flow with the music.

Silver’s Fairy Godfather 🐦‍⬛

I’d like to imagine Silver and Crowley having an Aurora and Maleficent-Diaval dynamic- one that is complicated yet full of care simultaneously 🌸💖

This was all inspired by Silver’s Alchemy Special Lesson line where he says “I feel better when the Headmage is here” 😭😭😭😭 that’s all it took BAHXJSJ!!! But why? Why does Silver feel better when the Headmage is there, when everyone else feel tense, anxious, annoyed, or even scared? 👀 This was a question I sought to answer for myself- as in what if Crowley was his “fairy godfather,” like the way Maleficent was to Aurora in the live action film.

I feel like some stuff is up to interpretation- as this is from (mostly) Silver’s POV. But I hope the general concept of this wasn’t too confusing to follow (*ﾟ▽ﾟ*) I wanted to try having the story follow Silver’s POV, age, and thoughts through the style of drawings- except for certain pages that’s meant to be drawn from Crowley’s POV (о´∀`о) I hope it wasn’t too disorienting!

There were many, many others scenes of them I wanted to draw but couldn’t fit -v- so I suppose I have inspiration for mini comics/sketches in the future to elaborate further on them! Thank you for reading 🌸💖🐦‍⬛

If you've seen Crowley's vignette, it's SO SUS.

1. Malleus has a big part for some reason. Crowley gets struck by his lightning just like how Meleanor fries her soldiers when they anger her. Levan was not only Meleanor's husband but also her general, so he probably also got struck by her a dozen or more times before.

2. Crowley emphasizes how important it is to carefully study magic. Levan is said to be a really bookish mage.

3. He has a massive appetite. Malleus is also portrayed this way.

4. Crowley is confirmed to be strong as even his basic magic is incredibly potent, but he's very low-key with his magic and prefers to talk things out instead. Levan's biggest thing in the plot is that he was a diplomat who went to enemy borders to talk things out instead of resorting to violence.

5. He gets taken aback and contemplates how time passes without him noticing. This, as we know, is also a major trait of Malleus.

Grim: No one fessed up, and Ace and Deuce were silently keepin' their heads down, so I stayed quiet too.

Well, we all got held responsible, in the end.

Grim: Tch. Trein and Crewel are both way too strict!

Grim: I like Vargas's class the best. 'Cause I don't need to take difficult notes in his class!

Grim: Oh yeah, and Crowley came in the shop right after me. Looks like he's always shoppin' at the Mystery Shop, too.

Grim: He started braggin' to me that he gets to order whatever he wants.

Grim: So I told him I wanted some special tuna cans then, and he says, "This privilege is for teachers only!"

Grim: He just kept on bragging, he's the worst! Crowley's so useless!

We should be thankful, since he let us attend here.

Grim: THANKFUL!? He should be thanking me for gracing this school with my genius!

Grim: And I bet Crowley'd gobble down the whole feast we got prepped if I take my eye off him for even a second…

Grim: No way I'm gonna give him a single bite. This time I'll make sure he's jealous of me.

I was planning to share all the responses to the last question but....I got over 1,244 responses! I read many of your wonderful responses about your OC/Yume/Self-ships and how you ended up doing it for your OSHIS!

In less than THREE months, this got over 1,244 responses and it was great! I can see that TWST EN's fanbase is HUGE on Malleus and I'm honestly amazed by how different it is to the JP side!

.....KALLISTO THIS BLEW MY. MIND OMFG. CROWLEY IS NEVER BEATING THE ALLEGATIONS AAAAAHHHHHHH

This is essentially a slightly upgraded version of an older post from back in July, and maybe I was normal back then BUT I DID NOT REALIZE THE GRAVITY OF THE IMPLICATIONS 😭😭😭

Rook saying that a crows feathers isn’t just black, but iridescent layers of blue, purple and green. Blue, purple, and green…And Malleus also directly says how black is associated most with nobility. With Meleanor’s design now revealed, this is hitting me more than it did back then!

Edit: Also feeding into my hope that Pomefiore, Ignihyde, and Diasomnia are intrinsically connected somehow

I find it fascinating how the Draconia’s don’t have this blue in their color palettes, and Crowley doesn’t have green (he has a bit of purple in his coat lapels).

Yet the color black, which is a shared main color between all three of them, is specifically mentioned to layers of blue, purple, and green in a crow’s feathers. But also, what is the one other thing I can immediately think of that has multilayers of all four of these colors, just like a crows feathers?
