The Autistic vs Autism Parent Divide.
Yes, there is a divide. But stop blaming autistic adults for it. This divide is derived from presuming to speak for us. This divide is due to you making the decision to light it up blue to make people “aware” of our existence, to make people fear and reject us, to make people want to cure us. The divide is due to you deciding the puzzle piece represents us because you think we have missing pieces. We don’t. The divide is because you decided all this without us. The divide is because you will not listen to autistic people. Work together? Exactly how is that going to happen if you refuse to meet us halfway? You decide to speak for us, with your assumptions about us that are incorrect, all while taking on our identities as your own while simultaneously telling us we are not our autism? Exactly how, in the holy fuck, do you expect us to just be grateful for your “awareness” when you treat us like charity cases?

Little things
You learn to value things more when you know how limited time can be on earth, plus having a killer disease also can put so much in a different perspective. This is why I say there is no room for anger. Try to remind myself this. Enjoy the little things. Stuff most people don't even notice. Things of no real value to most yet priceless to me like little cards and stickers some of us exchange. Like trying to remember to walk away from a fight because in the end it isn't going to matter who is wrong or right, what's going to matter is, how much is this fight really worth? Petty shit between spouses, families, and or friends. People can forget how to help support each other when it feels life does nothing but kick is until we are down and continue. There has got to be more after this world, but remember one thing...death does not discriminate.

WHY?
My eyes cannot remove the sheer ignorance and purposeful intent at having to be right over any costs, why in the world do we have to fight with caregivers, parents, health-care staff about the real reality of being autistic. In truth both should be hand in hand together? In the end everyone claims to want the same thing, but you also have to open your eyes to see things differently then the mainstream hype teaches you. This occurs thru history as views change over subjects and will continue until humans no longer walk things earth. Be on the right side of history, if not, at least be polite and respectful before making one of us feel like we are beneath you for expressing and communicating with society in a whole. Some say they are able voice of their child but have never really listened to any of us adults who are autistic, we also used to be children, we want the same thing for all children AND us, we should be working together. I will never understand the hate in this world. #ActuallyAutistic #DifferentNotLess #NothingAboutUsWithoutUs

Laugh
Where does it say an adult cannot do silly things? Is there a rule book? Society feels it is an immature act? Silly filter pics? Singing and dancing in a supermarket? Who cares? You live your life how it makes you happy not others. Laughter is still a good coping medicine, a good cry is good but the ability to be a little silly even as you hit middle age and higher shows a wise brain that knows that fleeting childhood like enjoyment is a beautiful feeling that helps lift you up, even for a moment..plus laughing is contagious. Try it!

Nuerotypical Extinction
I love culture. I love religion, but all of it. Cultural history and religion fascinates me to no end. In a way it also gives me a unique respect for each individual culture and religion. So many questions, so many root similarities...it is so hard for me to understand why this world is how it is, how can we have war and poverty...why have we not intellectually evolved? What if people who think outside the box (unless the box I a Tardis then think in box cus bigger) what if we are the next evolutionary step for the human race and nuerotypical is going to be the rare to extinct version of us 100 years into our future. It is mind-boggling, truly.
