Darkness
I saw the evening sky
Missing it's stars, how
Beautiful the dark can be,
Bellowing blues breathing
Against purple palms against
The infinite black, how silent
The sky when it's eyes are closed.
The stars do not weep and the
Moon appears without a crescent
Smile. Everything and nothing
Combined over head, we often
Overlook the beauty of the dark
By counting constellations and
Man-made dreams of conquering
The moon, we divert our eyes to
The brightest we can find. But,
What is bright without dark. What
Will you count on when the sky
Chooses not to weep, chooses
Not to smile.

Nature speak
I let nature speak
For me, for I too
Feel lost, at times,
Trying to find my way,
Like snowfall in the
Springtime, i often
Feel cold in the sunlight
I try so hard to smile
But sometimes there
Are tear streaks on
The window, i let
Nature speak for me,
The thunder rumbling
Through the whole sky
Fills the hole of silence
In my soul that leaps
Out to every lightning
Bolt in the misshapen sky
I lie to the mirror, i cover
My eyes with gray clouds
To block the vision of
My lips being tidal waves
Of misery crashing against
My sand-white body. I let
Nature speak through me,
I will never not cry when it rains,
I'll never not slip under covers
As snow falls around me. And,
I'll always smile when the sun
Arrives.

Ah, nature's essence
Breathing into the morning
Air, pumping beauty
And euphoria in such a
Glorious manner, dancer
Clouds strutting across
The blue stage, sunflower
Petals saunter as meandering
Mums sway calmly in the
Clarinet wind as it whistles
Around pouting peonies
Fanning their dandelion
Sisters as they daintly
Wave to orange canaries
With fistfuls of berries
That dripped down the
Amber sunlight, splattering
Against lazy elm trees,
That gaze upon yellow
Fields, where I stand in
The naked world, unafraid
To show it's beauty to all
That will notice.

I feel alone, when
Walking between
Tall buildings and
Passing faces, but
Amongst the trees
I find comfort in the
Lack of conversations
Through perseverance
Of wild flowers and
Tadpoles that skip
Like heartbeats across
The water, i find peace
In purple sunflowers,
Solidarity in the sun as
I lay my head amongst
The muddy banks of a
Murky river, lazy in its
Motion, a lackluster flow
I stow my emotions under
A pile of rainbow leaves
That fell to the sound of
The rise of Autumn. The
Colors fall in a kaleidoscope
Whirl under a sleepy sun,
I catch the leaves in my
Palm and watch them slip
Down my fingertips, torpeding
Down to a soft ground, my
Head does not rise, i relax
My eyes as sunlight jumbles
Onto my eyelashes that gropes
The air like paint brushes in
A cataclysm of easels, i sleep
Until winters birth and the new
Snow covers naked trees that
Beg for the beginning of spring.
I gather my things and wonder
Back to the city where people
Don't care about the colorful
Leaves anymore, they just
Cover themselves until
Spring begins.

Her beauty shone through tree gaps of evergreen leaves and red cardinals. She laid on a field of white daisies in a blue cotton dress. Her blonde hair curled around flowers as the wind flicked the hem of her dress across her knees. She smiled, white pearls under rose lips, her body moved with her laugh, her laugh brought petals to the ground in a symphony of frolicking tones and as the notes struck the ground i found there is nothing more beautiful than the sound of her.

Thank you
The biggest thing
I've learned from
Nature is quiet patience.
Through phases of
Loneliness, I lay under
Rubbled rambles under
Buckeye trees, witnessed
Its silence and poise even
If the whistling wind
Ruffled their feathers,
Most days clear rain appears
And the weather vane
Spins in 360, birds and
Squirrels halted their
Squabbles until rains
Death midday. See,
I never had a dad but
Sometimes the Elm trees
Held me so high i felt like
I was flying. The sun taught
Me to exhume salutations
Even if I'm unrecognizable
In the situation, brushing
Off specs of soot from
Dancing dandelions,
I find beauty needs some
Attention before it is
Noticed, the brown eyed
Fawn slowly sipping from
The teal lake taught me
To digest everything slowly,
The lemon colored apple
Tree taught me i could
Be anything i need to be for me.
Nature has taught me to
Grow and laugh and adore,
It showed me that the path
Will end somewhere beautiful,
If only i show up quietly,
And at my own gentle pace.

Without the presence
Of wind, the trees
Appear to have lungs
As the branches
Breathe and the leaves
Heave in an exchange
Of slow exhalation,
Puffing up, swelling
Their chests they grow
To twice their size,
My eyes focus on the
Lies that trees tell
Under the morning sun,
Shining over the pink
Skyline, wavering over
Solid clouds with a hundred
Eyes that drip out tears
In search of truth,
Spouting out spurts of
Honesty onto the engorged
Elms, inflated pines with
Stiff spines, the cherry tree
Crescendo that fell, like
His vast brothers, deflated,
Traded their lungs for air,
Honesty in their weakness,
Acceptance in a timid
Appearance, an unfathomable
Want to speak it's truth,
I want to be as strong as you.

Highway Sonata
The Orange sun,
That sets on a neon
Pink sky, beats down
Against the asphalt,
Halting my eyes feet
In front of me, as a
Mirage appears of
Dancing with tomorrow,
Sorrowed and saggy eyes
I've seen this all before,
The purple flowers that
Rest at the edge of the
Road, settling on the
Bottom of a hilltop treetop,
As the sky grows dim the
Trees shadowed outlines
Causes a highway hypnosis,
Double doses i overdose
On the surroundings as
Blue jays soar to their
Homes and white spotted
Deer dance across four
Lanes, the engine hums
In unison with the way
The wind blows, fresh
Air dips its head in my
Open window as I strum
Against the steering wheel,
Calling sirens and eclectic
Music from passerbys. Rise
The moon as my eyes
Bloom at crescent shapes
That taper off the day before,
Soaring songs come from
Nearby trees and a garrulous
Brook in the distance speaks
Of hymns they learned from
Water lillies that preach songs
As they drift into eternity,
Pertinent breaths from the
Stars dance across green
And blue cars, that sing
In unison, a highway
Sonata that cost nothing
But silence and attention.

Nature's suicide
A honeysuckle sun
Once in a passion fruit
Sky blends into a
Dragon-berry sunset
Over a family of maple
Trees with a cashmere
Scent and lace leaves,
That laced like familiar
Hands, hovering over
Maroon dirt and ceramic
Rocks that reflect warm
Sunrises off their countenance,
Sounds like ping pong dreams
And gleam unto a green soaked
Pond that laid below a navy
Blue waterfall which falls
Like daylight, with passion,
Overflowing emotions gust
Over soak stained rocks
And i find myself drowning
In nature's sadness, I dump
My tears into the exhausted
River that lapped at my rosy
Cheeks, i give my last breathe
To breathe lace and sunlight,
Suicidal by nature, i concede
To natures suicide.

Rain drips on fir trees
Outside my window
Gray clouds hang
Miserably overhead
The sun is quiet or
Hiding under blankets
Just like me.
Loneliness is found
Hiding in comfortable
Places, i have found.
Sadness is found in loud
Music so you have a reason
To be tuned out.
Pain is not just cuts
and stitches, but goodbyes
And medical bills.
A heart is not just a pump
But an empathetic torch
Lit up until tomorrow.
The human mind is still being
Discovered, by humans that want
To help and hurt.
My soul isn't just who I am,
It's what the pen leaves on paper.

Swallowing mourning
I dreamed in
The early morning
That i swallowed the
Sunlight whole, golden
Bursts seeped through
My wrists, gold and blood
Coupled as rust puddling
On brushed concrete
I masticated the sunlight
At midnight, picking at
The moon for dessert
Until a hangnail is
Left on a salted quartz
Plate, hand picking stars
To pick at my teeth, stardust
Gripped my lips, ether, dripping
Off my tongue, i sung songs
Under halted breathe, of destroying
Beauty , consuming the consummate
Love of natural consequences,
Gnawing at the ebbs and flows
Of mundanity and repetition,
My recognition is how i devoured
All of God's beauty, becoming
An angel, gasping on star residue,
Choking on yellow rays, my body
Plays a song of days no longer
Remembered, of nights holding
On by the ember trapped in
My eyes, i rise hungry every
Morning, and beauty mourns
The sounds of pouring rain
From my eyes.
