April's Merfolk of the Month is done! I promised to do something Peter Pan inspired, and I did. I don't know how well I conveyed post apocalyptic, but I tried.

The Trident is supposed to be made from scrap metal, and the armour on the merfolk is supposed to be made from sea-shells.

Totally realized the other day that I forgot to upload the images of March's merfolk of the month. So here it is in all its glory! I really did love doing this one, figuring out how to do the "ankle fins" for an octopus was the main hang up, but I think I managed it pretty well. Again, in love with the glow effect, I know I need to get better at it, but I think I'm doing ok since this is only the 3rd image I've ever painted with my UV paints. Of course, I had to add a ship to help convey the size of this one, somehow had to show it was a giant, lol.

Finished February's merfolk today actually. So I'm a little behind, I'll have to do the roll for March soon to get it done. Regardless, I'm really happy with this one! I originally had no idea what to do when I got the roll for this character, part of the reason it took so long honestly. But I came up with this and I love it! If you ask me, it definitely looks better when it's glowing under the UV light, but I still love it. The UV green paint definitely looks more yellow next to the other greens, but it's definitely the green one, lol.

I forgot to upload these art pieces I'm doing! This year I've been doing this "roll for OC" challenge I came up with for myself. I love merfolk, so it's a merfolk one. This was January's.

The fancy colors is just paints I make that are irridesent, metalic, UV reactive, and colorshifting. So I got to use those as well as the recylced makeup ones I've made that match the ONE color I was allowed, lol. Which honestly, helped a lot, cause I didn't realize how little orange and pink recycled makeup I've turned into paints so far.

Finally got another one of my LOTR paintings done, lol. Why is that? You guessed it, I'm meeting Andy Serkis today and wanted him to sign it. I'm also planning to meet John Rhys-Davies, but he was announced too close to the convention date and I couldn't get art of Gimli or Treebeard finished for him. I do have a talking Treebeard action figure though, I plan to get him to sign. XD

Side note, some of the paints I used glow under a UV light, so the moon, some strands of hair and some body highlights will light up.

Got another mermaid and pirate sketch art for Nerida and Lukas. I don't know if I'll color it honestly, you know how it goes with me, lol. This is definitely inspired by an art piece by @kianahamm and used their original as a pose reference.

I might never finish this piece so I'm just uploading the sketch work here for now. This is an art piece I was working on of two characters myself and a friend have.

Nerida is a mermaid, or merfolk, and they use they/them pronouns, although they don't particularly care what you use since the idea of pronouns isn't really something their species of merfolk uses. They view it as a human thing. Lukas is a pirate who seems to have a lot of bad luck, but somehow always comes out alive, so many it's actually a lot of good luck. He's carefree, and doesn't have a huge amount of impulse control. Me and my friend joke a lot that he'd have to have some sort of god looking after him in order for him to still be alive.

I think it might be the fact that no one actually expects someone to say or do the stupid things he does, so when he does, everyone else is just too shocked to actually do anything. 😅

Stickers have come in! Good news is that they'll be off to the store soon for purchase. Bad news is that I only realized now that I sent the wrong graphic in for printing for Angel Dust. Nothing major, just our boy is missing his blue rim lighting, lol. Oh well.

Can you tell what I was watching last night? I have other ideas from Emperor's New Groove I wanna do too, but they'll be more in depth than a silly potion bottle, lol.

Also update on the last batch of stickers I ordered, they should be arriving today and I'll set aside the pre-orders I got before sending them off to the store. I'll have to wait until I've made enough sales to get this one and Luffy Gear 5 printed, especially because I think I want to do Luffy as a holographic sticker and this one as a glitter sticker. Both of those cost more to get printed.

I might be sick, but apparently I don't need sleep, lol. Stayed up until like midnight yesterday doing this piece. Might remember the sketch I posted of it forever ago, finally made it into a design.

Yes, there will be stickers eventually, whenever I can afford to get some more printed, I've got designs waiting and new ones coming. Hopefully I remember to post up the link once it is available, lol.

Had to make a ducky to go with the Lucifer design I did. The other two designs I have done should be available for sale soon, this little guy is just a bonus, I don't think I'll make him available for purchase, but you will be able to get him by doing a special task... eventually. I have to print him first.
