Finally started uni
It's been so long since I last posted but my life has been really hectic.
Started a new chapter in life and it's been a while I've been this happy and chill to be honest.
Here's to new beginnings.

Don’t let anyone break you down. Nobody has any power over your happiness, productivity, mood, thoughts, or your goals.
Doesn’t matter what they do or think, what matters is what you do, and you have complete control over that.

When you don't want to revise
• Make flashcards • Make a summary sheet of either what you’ve just done or to see how much of a topic you remember •Go through the summary sheet with a different colored pen and add things you missed out or did wrong • Make a mind-map of your topic • Try making a grid with point and reason/effect columns • If you need one make a formula sheet/ quick overview of key concepts sheet ( pretty handy for RE,sociology, maths and the sciences) • identify key words/ phrases • Go through an exam question leisurely- sounds stupid but it’s better that you understand the process you have to go through when working something out • Summarize your case studies/ experiments/ tests that you have to know so there is less to learn later

2018 was the year of realization. You learned so much this year, both about yourself and the world around you. You saw how you react to failures, how you overcome challenges you never thought you could. You realized what kind of people you need around you, and what you can do best to help them. Maybe you also, finally, found what ignites you - found your passion, set some new goals, or maybe took up a new exciting hobby. So much changed this year, so many happy and sad days, a year that really left its mark. It’s up to you to learn from these lessons, to apply everything this year gave you, the good and the bad, to make 2019 the best year it can be. While 2018 was about change, 2019 will be about manifestation. Of your wishes, of your growth, of your potential and your happiness.

failure
Yesterday I got a letter in the mail regarding my summer semester exams. I had written four exams in a week, unusual for my distance program.
My third exam was calculus and it took me the entire three hours. I was in a hot, sticky classroom until 9 pm at night, darkness bleeding through the window, as well as a musical of emergency sirens due to what I presume was an accident outdoors. My invigilator actually offered me extra time “off of the clock” but I declined because I didn’t think it was fair. Despite all of this, I felt fairly confident I had passed because I knew a lot of the content (I also struggled with a lot though) and there were two high mark questions that were written word for word, number for number on my cheat sheet (they had been taken from the practice exam questions and assignments). My calculator failed on the first question but I tried not to let that get in the way, and it was only needed for two questions anyway.
All of my other marks in the course were high 80′s and low 90′s. But yesterday the letter said that I had failed the calculus course. They offered me the opportunity to rewrite the final at a cost of $250. I can’t afford that kind of money just for an exam that I had thought I did well on.
It crushed me, I worked so hard in that course only to be told I’m not good enough due to ONE ASSESSMENT. I would understand if I had consistently demonstrated a lack of knowledge, but I proved through every other assessment that I knew my stuff. I had one bad day with odds stacked against me.
I wouldn’t mind so much except I am currently trying to get my paperwork sorted to transfer universities for next semester. Because I already have fails on my record due my previously university’s negligence (I had a medical withdrawal that they never fixed up for me) I can’t have this one on my record as well.
But, with all of that said, I am fighting. I contacted my loans office and they recommend I get my previous history wiped and requested a doctors note for their own file. I reached out to said doctor who sent me home originally and reminded her that I still need that letter almost a year later. I’m still preparing my application to transfer. I reached out to my current university so that I can appeal my final grade for calculus.
Moral of the story, don’t let other people tell you that you’re not good enough. You are good enough. You are hard working, you are smart. When people try to put you behind, stand up. There’s always a way when there’s a will.
I will update you when the process unfolds and I get through.

It's been a while and I'm sorry. I've been busy with classes and deciding what to do with my future.
I'm thinking of studying Psychology but I'm not sure.
My first priority is to save my A Levels grades so let's get done with that.
Also, I'm currently obsessed with a book called Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. I'm almost towards the end of the book.
A must-read for the summer.

I bought a new book yesterday and it seems like a good read for now but the reviews of the book on Goodreads was so mixed lol so i ended up buying it anyway.

Didn't revise for too long. I was supposed to revise physics today as well but simce it's the last day of vacation, I ended up binging on the second seasom of Tokyo Ghoul 2nd season. ( I died a little) Tomorrow's the first day of class. So I'm pretty excited but a little nervous as well since the last session was such a huge mess for me. Hopefully, I'll learn from my mistakes, improve and have better grades this time ^_^

when u get this u have to answer with 5 things u like about yourself, publicly. then, send this ask to 10 of your favorite followers (non-negotiable, positivity is cool) ✨💛✨
Thanks for the ask ^_^ Five things huh that's a little tough lol. Okay then.1. Although I struggle with self confidence sometimes, I really like my body and my general appearance. I may not look like a model or anything but I like how I look :)2. I like the fact that I'm good with maths because I used to be so bad at it but thanks to my teachers and my efforts, I've become better and I really like it now.3. I like that I'm able to stay calm during the most chaotic times 4. I like that I don't cry easily anymore.5. I like that I'm optimistic and patient.
