Underground Singles Review 1/23/2020📝 Prettyboy Col denim fit / new blunt. . 8/10. . I'm very impressed by this single off of Prettyboy Col's new album. This song if very dark and gritty compared to his single Hit It Again that he released before Christmas. Col's delivery on this song is improved compared to his album side effects of youth 1. Col's bar play is animated and improved upon as well. The use of a sample to open and close the song is very creative. I have no complaints of this song. If your into Cloud Rap give this one a listen.  . Neko Standards Ft(Acid) Prod.David Luis. . 7/10. . This song has great production and amazing energy. Dark and atmospheric Neko and Acid go all in to create hyper aggressive energy on this song. I really enjoy Nekos chorus on this song however I feel his verses could have used some more substance to stand out. Acids verse is really great however I wish his verse stood out more as well. The production is the star here with the distorted base and light snares in the background making for great energy. Singles Review 1/17/2000 Part 3📝 Eminem Godzilla Ft(JuiceWRLD)  7/10 This is a strange and unique colab however this works. The beat is a an average fast paced boom bap instrumental however both Eminem and Juice trade places between chorus and verses. The chemistry between these two is really grand. My only critique of this song is only hearing Juice Wrld twice throughout the song. I would have loved to hear Juice Wrld take over a verse or go back and forth bar to bar at the end of the song. With that said, give this song a listen!  Pop Smoke Christopher Walken  7/10 Pop smoke takes some inspiration from Travis Scott in this song. Pop Smokes ad libs are similar to what you will hear in a Travis song and I enjoy how Pop Smoke incorporated them into this song. Also Pop Smokes flow on this track is very animated and straight forward. If your into Travis Scott and dark Trap music give this one a listen! 070 Shake Guilty Conscious 8/10 Very atmospheric and spacy vibe to this song. I really enjoy the 80s keyboard incorporated within the instrumental. The sound is reminiscent from Stranger Things. 070 Shake's singing is amazing. Her flow is simple and fits the progression of the instrumental flawlessly. Singles Review 1/17/2000 Part 2📝 2 Chainz DMW Ft(Future)  4/10 The chorus in this song is very annoying. 2 Chainz brings an awful delivery to his rapping on this song. Future doesn't help this track either. His verse sounds very toned down compared to a lot of his other features. The only appealing part of this song is the dark Trap instrumental. This song needs a re record!  Tee Grizzley Red Light  8/10 Tee Grizzley never disappoints on his music and this single is no exception. The dark, aggressive, and grand instrumental makes this song complete. Tee Grizzley's flow is just as extravagant as this beat! Give this one a listen!  Rich The Kid Money Talk Ft (NBA Youngboy) 5/10 NBA Youngboy's verse on this song is pretty strong however his Ad Libs and his singing don't hit for me on this track. Rich The Kids part of the Chorus is as similar to NBA Youngboys part of the chorus. The beat is very broad and animated however you are able to find this type of trap instrumental anywhere else in the hip hop and trap landscape! Over all nothing too special here In my opinion.   Singles Review 1/17/2000 Part 1📝 Revenge Of The Dreamers Still Up With(EarthGang & Reason)  8/10 I am proud of these "Director Cuts" of Revenge Of The Dreamers 3. This song is a highlight with Earth Gangs broad performance on the song along with Reason. The instrumental of the song does not stray away from the vibe from the original album. Overall a great single from an already great album. Give this one a listen!  Revenge Of The Dreamers Bussit With(Ari Lennox) 7/10 I really enjoying what Ari Lennox presented on the original Revenge Of The Dreamers 3. This song is no exception. The chorus is the most appealing part of this song. Ari Lennox is able to keep a note going throughout a song beautifully. Her tone of singing this song is amazing as well. I hope we receive more R&B such as this song from her in the future. Give this song a listen! Mac Miller Circles 7/10 I have to admit I have slept on Mac Miller. However recently I have started to listen to his full discography on Spotify to get a feel for his music so I'm able to give a proper opinion of his new album Circles. From what ive heard from the single 'circles' I really have been missing alot. This songs guitar progression really seals the cake. Mac Miller's singing is very soothing however I feel he could have improved his sing some more while he was alive. With that said give this song a listen. This song does not disappoint! The switch up is the star of this song giving a lead for future to go off for a portion of the song. Over a great listen! Lil Baby Sum 2 Prove 6/10 The beat is the star of this song. Keyboard driven beat with bumping base. I wish there was a change up in this beat however what else would you expect from Lil Baby. Lil Baby's flow is pretty decent aswell. Give this one a listen.  Moneybagg Yo Protect Da Brand Ft(Da Baby)  7/10 I will be reviewing Moneybagg Yo's new album in the coming week however I wanted to shout out this song in particular. Da Baby's feature streak is continuing in 2020. Da Baby and Moneybagg have really great chemistry on this song. Underground Singles Review 1/9/2020 Ky Fya Floating  7/10 I love the instrumental on this song. This song is great for the summer. The guitar chords along with the drum passages go very nicely along with Ky's singing this song. The chorus is very animated as well. My only gripe with this song is the length. I would have liked this song to longer. Beside that, give this one a listen.  Unstxble Purse  6/10 This song is very XXXTENTACION inspired. With this songs grimy base and woodwind sample to Unstxble high toned grimmy rapping this song screams X. Reminds me of Look At Me. Here are my critiques of this song. I wish there were a changeup in production. I also wish the song was longer however with this style of rap, I understand why Unstxble decided to make this song under two minutes. If your into grimmy underground rap you'll will definitely enjoy this song.  RIELXRIEL Pocket Full  7/10 I really enjoy the message of this song. RIELXRIEL calls out world problems such as substance abuse and calls out the music industry for not creating substance within music. The piano driven instrumental sets the mood for this very introspective song. Of your into lyrical and melodic rap, you will enjoy this song a lot! Give this one a try.  Mike Goldz Trauma  8/10 Mike Goldz is a mix of Future and Meek Mill. Mike Goldz has Meek Mill's flow and Futures vocal inflections. On Trauma Mike Goldz talks about being traumatized from seeing single Mother raise their child to Father's going to jail. Very dark and heartbreaking lyrics. The beat is amazing as well with very great strung guitars and bumping base to get yourself hyped. I have no complaints from this song. Singles Review 1/3/20📝 Justin Bieber Yummy  5/10 Decent and catchy hook. However Justin vocally does not go out of his way to stand out vocally. This makes his low toned and nazzely delivery very stale on his verses. Only on the hooks is where Justin vocally stands decently. His high toned deliver where he sings "Yeah Babe" is the only redeemable quality here. If your a huge fan of Justin Beiber you will enjoy this a lot however this needs to be recorded.  MoneyBagg Yo U Played Ft(Lil Baby) 8/10 Moneybagg To has a hit here. Moneybagg Yo goes hard on this song. His bar play and deliver glide perfectly along this beat. Tay Keith's production on this song is dark and grand. Sounds straight out of a horror movie. Lil Baby's verse on here is decent however Moneybagg's performance steals the show. The end of the song where both rap the verse together is incredible as well. Give this one a listen.  Quando Rondo Bad Vibe Ft(A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie & 2 Chainz)  7/10 Never been a huge Quando Ronda fan. It's either a hit or miss with his music. However Quando Rondo has something here with Bad Vibe. The chorus is extremely catchy and slick. Quando's singing is really great and shows his vocal range. Compared to other sing rappers Quando Rondo is able stretch his vocal delivery. A Boogie has an average verse on this song. His verse could have been easily re recorded. 2 Chainz however brings back the song with his cut throat however low toned and raw delivery towards the end of the song. Over a decent and extravagant listening experience.  Lil Tjay 20/20 7/10 Heartfelt and introspective song from Lil Tjay. I was moderately impressed by Lil Tjay's last single Go In and my thoughts towards this song carry over from his previous record. There are no plucky guitar samples in this instrumental. In Fact the instrumental is pretty meat and potatoes with a bass, snaps, and a piano in the back off everything with ghostly vocals samples to top everything else within the instrumental. Lil Tjay's verse and chorus carry some real emotions within. Underground Artist Singles Review 1/2/20📝 Griffin North What a Way  7/10 Griffin North's vocals really stand out on this song! His fast yet high pitched rapping is really stands out from a lot of other sound cloud artists I review. The beat is really interesting as well somewhat one dimensional however the beat pauses throughout the song to give Griffin Time to rap acapella on here. Over not a bad song. Give this one a shot! Rielxriel Salvador  8/10 Acoustic ballad at it's finest. This song is very catchy. I enjoy the plucked guitar sample in the background. This is the core of the instrumental and really carries the song. Rielxriel flow is very reminiscent of Lil Peep and Lil Tracy's flow on some of there songs. I like how Rielxriel doesn't hold back his accent. His accent is very prevalent on the chorus of the song. His voice glides along smoothly with the guitar driven instrumental to make an over all calming listening experience. Myself, @myweeklyplaylist & @loading.more.music are doing a Vinly GIVEAWAY(To Be Announced) in honor of the New Year. So each of us will post our top three albums of 2019. Mine are: 1) Kanye West Jesus Is King Jesus Is King surprised me as being a very soulful and moving movement for myself musically and for many people who found religion through this record. Almost every song on this record presents a story from Kanye in such a unique and unforgiving perspective. This is why Jesus Is King is number 1 on my top three album list! 2) Tyler The Creator Igor Coming in at number two is Tyler The Creators Igor. On first listen from when this record came out I enjoyed listening to this record l, however I never touched it the rest of the year. Only up until November is when I really started to listen to Igor in it's entirety and started to really appreciate the art and concept Tyler was going for ob this record. The heartbreak anthems on this record show Tyler's ability to sing and rap in wierd ways really un heard of in this age of Indie and Rap. This is why Igor is number 2 on my top three album list! 3) Tee Grizzley Scriptures Coming in at number three is Tee Grizzley's album Scriptures. I have always been a huge fan of Tee Grizzley and when this album came out back in June. I was very impressed. Each song is engaging, raw, and straight to the point sonically. Tee Grizzley pulls no stops on this album by presenting his strengths in rap and beat production. Tee Grizzley has his best bars and word play on this album.
