Historical CC - Rustic Juice Fizz Dispenser

Have you ever wanted to buy a single Juice Fizz without going to the trouble of firing up the (decidedly modern-looking) Fizz station? Well, you're in luck! I took the decorative cask from Horse Ranch and added a PurchasePicker interaction. Each bottle costs §20 (§10 if you have the Affizzianado trait, or §0 if you have the Free Services Reward Trait). Every flavor is available for purchase (including Suspicious Fizz, which makes your Sim sick, and Tofizz, which wipes away other Fizz moodlets).

There are currently two versions; you can download both, as they do not conflict. One dispenses custom bottles that I designed for my historical saves. The other sells the original Eco Lifestyle bottles. Both function exactly the same.

Just click on the cask and choose "Select Fizz". Your Sim will walk over, and the selection menu will pop up.

Sadder, Guiltier Werewolves: Wracked with Guilt Temperament Tweaks

I wanted to play a Werewolf Angst™ story-line, but the sad moodlets provided by the Wracked with Guilt temperament just aren't strong enough to make my Sim truly despondent, so I decided to make this mod.🙃If you enjoy the drama of self-loathing, give it a try!

WHAT THIS MOD CHANGES:

Sad moodlets afforded by the Wracked with Guilt temperament have been cranked up to +10 and can last up to 6 hours (warning: if you play on short lifespan, this can really add up!).

Several lines of text have been modified to convey a greater sense of melancholy.

WHAT THIS MOD ADDS:

Sims with the Wracked with Guilt temperament have a couple of new interaction options, all found under the Werewolf section of the pie menu.

Bemoan Curse: Complain about the darker aspects of being a Werewolf.

Ask to Transform Back: Transformation Mastery gives Werewolves the ability to assume their animal shape at will; this interaction lets your Sim ask them to return to normal. If they are in a bad mood, do not know you well, or have certain traits or temperaments (like Argumentative or Prideful, for instance), they will refuse.

Apologize for Monstrous Form: Express your self-loathing and receive 1 of 15 unique responses. Vampires, Mermaids, Spellcasters, Aliens, Werewolves, and Humans all have different things to say about your apology (assuming they like your Sim). Unfortunately, no matter how many times you Apologize, this dialogue option will never make you feel better.

Offer Reassurance: The only way to assuage your guilt is to rely on a friend for support. Yay co-dependence! To access this dialogue option, Apologize to a non-Werewolf Sim and then use Werewolf Diplomacy to make them a Werewolf Ally. Allies gain the Offer Reassurance interaction, found under Deep Thoughts. Whenever your fuzzy Sim is feeling down, their ally can offer a shoulder to cry on. This lessens the duration of sad moodlets, grants a confident moodlet, and has a chance of generating an Adoring sentiment. (Also available to fellow Werewolves who have the WwG temperament).

OPTIONAL ADD-ON: POTENTIALLY FATAL WEREWOLF CURE

If being a Werewolf is so terrible, why not drink a glass of Wolf-B-Gone and break the curse? Simple: because the concoction is potentially fatal! With this optional add-on, Sims who pursue a cure have a 50% chance of dying shortly after drinking it. The quest lore has been altered to reflect this. Not to worry, though! Sims can protect themselves from death in the usual ways: by wearing charged hematite, growing death flowers, owning an evil chicken, drinking death flower kombucha, using an immortality potion, and so on.

COMPATABILITY

This mod overrides game files, so it has the potential to conflict with other Werewolf mods. It will DEFINITELY conflict with any mod that alters temperaments and traits. The optional add-on will conflict with mods that affect book text or how Werewolves cure themselves. It is not compatible with the Occult Hybrid Stabilizer (which is currently broken anyway).

Monarch Butterfly House (with Animated Butterflies!)

The Fungi Reality Inc. Studio Apartment is a charming piece of plant décor that comes with Growing Together, but it's missing something important: residents! I have rectified this by adding butterflies.

How it Works: To activate the monarchs, click on the item in live mode and select "add butterflies". This will cause five butterflies to appear – one on the mushroom house, two on the greenery, and two fluttering overhead. The animated butterfly effect will end automatically at 8pm (because the monarchs are sleeping) and resume again at 7am. If you have Seasons, the monarchs will be absent in Winter (yes, yes, I know this does not accurately represent the species' actual life cycle).

While the monarchs are active, two interactions are available:

Talk to Butterflies: Fills the Social need and reduces sadness. It also fills the Fun need if you have certain Traits (like Animal Enthusiast, Loves Outdoors, or Survivalist), are employed in certain Careers (like Conservationist or Gardener), have a degree in Biology, or have the Outdoorsy Lifestyle.

Observe: Fills the Fun Need. Sims with relevant traits (Animal Enthusiast, Animal Whisperer, Loves Outdoors, One with Nature, etc.) have a 50% chance of getting a Happy moodlet. It also offers a small career boost to Gardeners and Conservationists, and it has a chance of triggering a Scientific Breakthrough.

Small PlantSim Mod: Water-Motive Compatible Drink Tray

I'm currently playing the "last patch broke the game so I'm stuck on my home lot" challenge. I LOVE the Sugarcane Juice that came with For Rent; it looks delicious, and I wanted my PlantSim to be able to fully partake in the sugary goodness. So, I made this mini-mod that allows PlantSims to fulfill their Water need by drinking it (by default, they can only fulfill their Water need by drinking plain water). I also lowered the calorie count so they won't gain weight from indulging. Consider this an addendum to my recent PlantSims mod. :)

Stats: ♢ Requires For Rent ♢ Overrides a single tuning resource: drink_SEA_Food_SugarcaneJuice (349961). It's compatible with virtually any other mod, so long as that mod doesn't override the same file.

Historical CC - Functional Apothecary Cabinet

You know what this game needs? An easy way to purchase medicine and pet treats while living off-the-grid. Ergo, this cabinet.

How it works: Click on the glass doors and select "Search Apothecary Cabinet". Your Sim will walk over to peruse the contents, and then a purchase picker dialogue will pop up with all the available options. (Sims who have the Vet skill or who are in the Doctor career will get a discount).

Which remedies are available?: I made four different versions of this item so you can choose the one that best fits your pack list. If you only have Get to Work, medicine will be the only option. If you only have Cats & Dogs, you will have access to all of the vending machine pet treats. If you have both Get to Work and Cats & Dogs, you can buy both. The final version includes the rabid rodent fever serum from My First Pet Stuff.

@livinginfictions suggested that I add the "Gather Water" interaction to this well, and I thought that was a great idea! I created a second version with custom tuning to add that functionality. Be aware that, like any object with custom tuning, it might break after an update! Keep this (and other items like it) in a separate folder, so that if you start getting errors, the likely culprits are all in one place.

If you decide to use this new version, delete the old file and replace it with this one (do not download both, as they will conflict).

Historical CC: Functional Outdoor Well

Well, this took forever (no pun intended). I took the "Well Run Dry" décor item, shrunk it down, changed the pail into a bucket, swapped out the tuning, and voilà! An old-timey, off-the-grid outdoor sink. There are some minor clipping issues with the fingers when viewed from one specific angle, but jankiness is to be expected when the source object wasn't built to function this way. Such is life.

Hidden Fruit of the PlantSim Mod (Requires Seasons)

There are several excellent PlantSim mods floating around out there (PS Lives by @srslysims comes to mind), but I wanted to play a storyline where PlantSims have to hide their true nature, so I made this.

WHAT THIS MOD CHANGES: • PlantSims keep their original hair and skintone, allowing them to "blend in" with ordinary humans. • The PlantSim trait is permanent, unless you choose to remove it. • You can purchase a Forbidden Fruit from the Rewards store. • Idle Animations and extreme hunger occur less frequently. • Absorbing Solar Energy is more efficient and gives you a VFX moodlet. • PlantSims no longer have an effective skill modifier of +4 to Gardening, but learn Gardening and Flower Arranging at 1.5x speed. WHAT THIS MOD ADDS: Nothing is more annoying than starving to death because the weather is bad, or because the sun has set. This Mod equips PlantSims with two tricks to remedy this:

⚘ Bribe the Weather Goddess is available during the day and can be accessed by clicking on your Sim. They will scatter petals and beg the sky for mercy, clearing up any inclement weather for the low, low cost of §100 (Sims with the Free Services Reward Trait don't have to pay the bribery fee). ⚘ Tap into Starch Reserves is available at night, and fills the PlantSim's Hunger while draining away some of their Energy.

This mod also adds two sets of social interactions - one for PlantSims who are in hiding, and one for PlantSims who have chosen to disclose their secret to someone special. The following are available as soon as someone becomes a PlantSim:

⚘ Compliment Gardening Instincts (Friendly→Compliments) ⚘ Enthuse about Sunbathing (Friendly→Hobbies) ⚘ Hint at Existence of PlantSims (Friendly→Deep Thoughts) ⚘ Joke about Hayfever (Funny→Jokes) ⚘ Indulge in Plant Puns (Funny→Silly Behavior) ⚘ Imply Interest in Pollination (Romance→Flirtation) ⚘ Sew Seeds of Doubt (Mischief→Deception) ⚘ Mock Belief in PlantSims, to deflect suspicion (Mean→Malicious)

With a full friendship bar, PlantSims gain the ⚘ Reveal Truth about Self dialogue option, located under Deep Thoughts. This allows for additional interactions between the PlantSim and their trusted friend:

⚘ Complain about Need for Secrecy (Friendly→Complaints) ⚘ Describe Taste of Rain (Friendly→Small Talk) ⚘ Recount Tale of Forbidden Fruit (Friendly→Stories) ⚘ Share Facts about PlantSims (Friendly→Deep Thoughts) ⚘ Seduce with Spores (Romance→Physical Affection) ⚘ Claim Father Winter is a PlantSim (Mischief→Deception) Trusted Friends can also initiate the following: ⚘ Commiserate with PlantSim Struggles or, if both are Plantsims, ⚘ Take Comfort in Shared Experiences (Friendly→Deep Thoughts) ⚘ Buddy Hug (Friendly→Affection) ⚘ Denounce PlantSims (Mean→Malicious, not available to Good, Loyal, or Compassionate Sims)

WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO BE A PLANTSIM ANYMORE? Click on your phone, select Travel, and choose ⚘ Undergo Herbaceous Transplant. Your Sim will be whisked away to meet with a deeply unethical botanist and will return sporting a Dazed moodlet. Former PlantSims can ⚘ Casually Announce New Status to members of their inner circle (Friendly→Gossip), resetting the whole knowledge process. They can ⚘ Obliquely Allude to Former Life (Friendly→Stories) thereafter.

OPTIONAL ADD-ONS: I wanted my PlantSims to have at least one otherworldly feature, so I combined my mesh with Nords' Yahline Eyes, which she has generously made available for recolor. They are located under facepaint and are heterochromatic - the right eye periodically glows a vibrant green. They conflict with bracelets, but work with 3-D lashes.

TECHNICAL DETAILS: I used the following tools to make this mod: Sims 4 Studio, STBL Studio, and TDESC Builder. Social mixers added by this mod will not run autonomously, and they have a lockout time of 60 Sim minutes to prevent spamming. Some yield sentiments or buffs, others don't. In their infinite wisdom, EA decided that only Non-Occult Teens, Young Adults, Adults, and Elders can become PlantSims, so interactions are restricted to humans of those age groups. There are other mods that unlock kids/toddlers/etc. but that feature wasn't relevant to my story idea, and I did make this thing for myself. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS MOD REQUIRES THE XML INJECTOR AND WILL CONFLICT WITH ALMOST ANY OTHER PLANTSIM MOD. This is my first attempt at modding, and there are almost certainly mistakes, so I welcome player feedback, suggestions for additional content, tips on how to clean up my coding, etc.
