100 DAYS

100 days ago I got on a plane from Adelaide airport, Australia to Heathrow airport, England. It wasn’t a planned trip, it was a last minute decision and oh my god am I so happy I chose to put myself out of my comfort zone and book that flight and travel across the world with no ticket back. Over the past 100 days I have had tears of joy, tears of sadness and loss, tears from laughing too hard and from missing those that I left behind. I have visited friends and family that I hadn’t seen in 10 years. Gone back to the places I grew up from birth to the age of 5. I have had plenty of adventures! On the first day I built a den with my cousins and auntie (not that I did much of the building haha). Had shopping adventures in Chatham, Lakeside, Bluewater, Gravesend, Strood and Rochester. Sent and received letters to and from Adelaide. Had approximately 11 Sunday roasts (I’m actually going to miss these more than I’m going to miss my family haha just kidding). Been to the cinema 3 times. Went to a boot fair. Had my British passport renewed. Celebrated 9 birthdays (some from a distance). Had my hair coloured once and cut 3 times. Attended a funeral of a beloved family member. Travelled on the train 3 times. Attended 2 identity interviews. Participated at a free family fun day. Went to a wedding expo. Met a bunch of new people. Skyped with friends back in Australia several times. Had Halloween fun, carved a pumpkin (okay Erin carved the pumpkin) and went trick or treating. Had my first ever allergic reaction to something I’m still not sure of. Watched 2 firework displays one of which was in a back garden. Let paper lanterns go. Booked a flight back home. Went on a girl’s holiday to Butlins. Spoken to my Mum on the phone several times (we only worked out we could call in the last few weeks). Made new relationships and improved already made connections. And did a whole lot of soul searching and growing within myself. I can’t emphasize enough how amazing my family truly is and how much I love them all and how great coming to England was and is I am so grateful for this experience and I’m going to treasure the memories I have made forever. I’d like to make special mention to Jade and Ryan for putting up with me for the most part of being here, giving me a roof over my head and feeding my bad eating habits I love you both so much and I’m so happy for you two, you’re amazing parents and I’m so glad I got to see Milla grow up so much in the last 100 days. Auntie Sarah thank you for just being such an awesome auntie, taking me places, wiping away my tears and always listening to what I have to say. Terry for constantly coming out with the most weird and hilarious things I don’t think there is a day I see you that I don’t laugh. Alex, I know we’ve barely spent time together but I love you and always will. Chelsea for trusting me and sharing your stories, taking me out to parties and introducing me to your friends, you’re definitely not 7 going on 8 anymore and you’ve grown up to be such an incredible young lady I’m so glad I was here to celebrate your 18th with you. Erin for just being Erin, you have such a unique and funny personality and attitude towards life, never change you’re perfect just the way you are and thank you for letting me get to know you I love you baby cousin. And last but not least my mother for always supporting everything that I do and all the decisions that I make, pushing me to do things I never thought I was capable of and loving me unconditionally, I love you Mum.

Had an amazing day out in Maidstone with Natalie visiting places I used to live when I was under the age of 4. It also happens to be Remembrance Day so I took a picture of one of the tributes.

Day 4: The last day, tomorrow morning it's time to leave Butlins. Went on the rides one last time and centre stage for the night entertainment. Scooby Doo show and music, Erin got a picture with the gang 😄🎢🎡🎠❤️

Day 3: Spent the morning and afternoon around the fairgrounds and in the pavilion, fireworks for bonfire night at 7 and then night entertainment and 2p machines in centre stage ❤️😄🎇🎆🎠🎡🎢

Day 2: Woke up, had a walk around the fairground and went on the rides so much fun! Walked to the beach and had a walk around the town then back for a quick swim and now to go to the arcade ❤️😄👍🎠🎢🎡🚗

Day 1: Went swimming, had lunch/dinner, put our bags into the room and got ready for night activities, had a walk and watched some entertainment at centre stage.

Arrived safe and sound at Butlins. Had a swim and some lunch/dinner while we waited to be able to take our bags to the room. Got a free upgrade, this is our room all cute and cosy I love it!

Trick or treat!! Walking the streets with Auntie Sarah, Jade, Chels, Erin, Esmee and Milla. Some cool pumpkins that we saw along the way, someone spooky driving Terry's car and the girls counting the treats. 🎃👻
