What a time to be alive...
I've spent the last few weeks being run off my feet! Preparing for my exams is not the most exciting thing I could think to be doing right now.
I finished work around two weeks ago, and I thought that would mean I'd have loads of time to get ready for my impending arrival and concentrate on my studies. WRONG! Instead I've found myself with an extortionate amount of free time exclusively for naps. Although that's a beautiful way to spend my afternoons I haven't exactly been feeling productive recently.
Buying Christmas presents on a budget is my current personal project, after asking my older son for a Christmas list at the beginning of the month I was blessed with the cutest wish-list I've ever seen. It's the first year we attempted it and on the next baby I'll be doing it from the moment he can ask for things, just so I can keep the piece of paper until I die. As an extract of the things he asked for: a kinder egg, a new mat, a red race car and 'so many chocolate coins'. Adorable.
His dad wants to buy him a tablet to play on, is six years old too young for this? I think it might be. I can't help but feel it would be relieving to have a third parent of technology once we've got a new born to take care of.
As a student I don't really know if that's financially a good plan anyway, I'm not even sure about my entitlement to maternity pay yet, so I could be facing my time off a little tight on money.
I'm thinking all the time about working towards financial freedom, and I'm considering posting details of that in order to keep myself accountable. Obviously for that to work I'll need to be online more than once every two months! We'll see how that goes.
I hope everyone who reads this is well and happy :D thanks for spending time with me today!

I spent this week celebrating entering the third trimester! Clearly I didn't celebrate by vacuuming up before taking this photo..
Now that I'm at 28 weeks I am beginning to notice those aches and pains people promised me would come. Guess I'm not immune after all!
I've completed my first week of Uni, unfortunately however I did miss a lecture for a midwifes appointment.
Starting my classes I really realised that I will struggle this year - last year I passed with super good grades on all of my modules. After receiving my syllabus' I did begin to feel overwhelmed that I'll be giving birth during this academic year.
I've been thinking about including weekly breakdowns of my spendings, so I'll start with that in my next post. Be sure to let me know anything else you'd be interested in hearing about.
Anyways, after a positive week I was excited to update you guys over here! I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day!

A brief introduction..

If you're reading this.. I'm surprised! I'm starting a blog, this blog, in order to chronicle the things I'll be getting up to in the coming months. I really have no intentions of anybody reading it except for future me, what a prospect.
This week, the final week of September, is my first back at university. I'm studying a Mathematics degree in central London. An ambitious plan at the best of times, but what is going to make my life significantly more difficult is that sometime around the end of December I will be welcoming a baby boy!
Luckily I know my campus and peers well so I'm very grateful not to be a 'new kid'. However, when I did visit campus earlier in the week I did find myself unprepared for how busy it would be in the building, I imagine people have their cases of the 'Septembers' and are filled with anticipation for their coming school year. No doubt they will give up attending all their lectures fairly soon.
Anyhow, only time will tell what sort of content I'll be filling this mish mash of a blog with - I'm willing to bet nothing! Let's see how I get on ;)
