This song has been with me the last week. It speaks deep into my circumstances right now. As we are sent, we are blessed, not only by those sending you but more importantly, by God. I am so thankful to have been sent and released with blessing from my family in Chelmsford to the place God has called me in Normandie, France.

First post on my blog in some time, I was separated from my camera for a substantial time, but now all is well.

Spring has sprung here in Normandy. Here are a couple of snaps to document the return of the warm weather.

Here it is...

My first oven baked white loaf.

For dinner tonight I prepared Steak Sandwiches with homemade spicy potato wedges & spiced crisps. It was tasty.

If you want to try it yourself, here's what I did.

Ingredients (Serves 6)

4 Large Steaks

2 Plain Baguettes

Boursin Cheese

Plain Crinkle Cut Crisps

12 small-medium sized potatoes

Chilli Powder & Flakes

Salt & Ground Pepper

Olive Oil.

Sauces - I had Mayonnaise, Ketchup & Samurai Sauce (Kinda Spicy)

I rubbed a teaspoon of olive oil on either side of the steak and then to season sprinkled salt, then pepper, then chilli flakes on either side of the steak, I then placed them into the fridge until ready to cook For the crisps I simply sprinkled 2 heaped tea-spoons of chilli powder over them and then tossed them together in a large bowl, then left them covered to sit until ready to serve. Season according to your tastebuds. For the wedges, I chopped each potato roughly into 4/5 wedges, parboiled for 8 minutes. I then drained them and left them to sit for 5 minutes. Then I placed the wedges into a medium sized oven dish, poured a substantial helping of olive oil over them and added salt, pepper & chilli flakes and then mixed together in the dish, finished with 2 heaped tea-spoons of chilli powder sprinkled evenly over the wedges. They then spent 30 minutes in the oven at 220 degrees. With 10 minutes before the wedges were due to come out we grilled the steaks for 4 minutes either side over an open fire on the driveway. When the steaks are ready, chop into strips. Cut your baguettes into 6 pieces and wrap in foil, place in oven for 5 minutes until warm. Finally, bring all of this to the table and stick whatever you like in your sandwich (eat out of the foil). I had steak, boursin cheese, samurai sauce and wedges.

BANG!... AND THE BEARD IS GONE.

Those who weren't aware, I grew a beard. Today I moved into a new room at Bethanie and decided to start afresh, so I shaved. Now I have a moustache. Cool.
