Away, away, from men and towns,
To the wild wood and the downs, —
To the silent wilderness,
Where the soul need not repress its music.”
—Percy Bysshe Shelley

Humans, The Villain
Environmental awareness is to understand the vulnerability of our environment and the importance of its protection. Promoting environmental awareness is an easy way to become an environmental activist and participate in creating a brighter future for our children.
In the present times, our overuse of resources has caused a drastic change in the environment, which has made it feeble and fragile.
Between 2015 and 2020, the rate of deforestation was estimated at 10 million hectares per year. We are cutting down the natural filters of oxygen, which has brought up the levels of carbon dioxide. Global monthly average concentrations of carbon dioxide have risen steadily from 339 parts per million in 1980 (averaged over the year) to 412 parts per million in 2020, an increase of more than 20% in 40 years.
This increase in carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases has resulted in global warming. Global warming has affected the polar regions and the rise in sea levels, as well as indirectly affected the climate with an increase in natural disasters like cyclones, hurricanes, floods, and droughts.
Global warming presents a grave threat to all life on Earth. The planet’s warming has altered and eliminated habitats reduced food sources, and even directly killed species that simply can’t stand the heat. Scientists predict that if the greenhouse gas levels keep increasing, climate change will cause more than a third of the Earth’s animal and plant species to face extinction by 2050 — and up to 70 percent by the end of the century. Such a catastrophic loss would irreversibly diminish biodiversity, severely disrupt ecosystems, and cause immense hardship for human societies worldwide.
The loss of biodiversity also has an impact on our human lives. Ecologist Felicia Keesing says "Biodiversity loss tends to increase pathogen transmission across a wide range of infectious disease systems." These pathogens can include viruses, bacteria, and fungi. And humans are not the only ones at risk: all manner of other animal and plant species could be affected.
This is the fate of the world to come, this is the future of your children. Do you want this to happen?
It is not too late, there are still ways to help save the world from such a drastic future. We here at NatSavers, believe that hand in hand, we can overcome any difficulty we face, come out on top and save our home, Mother Earth.
Every big revolution needs a small first step, we made the first step, are you ready to carry this dream, this hope forward?
