About that novel I'm writing

It's always terrifying to come talk about it here because I can feel the judgement behind the screen from my older followers. But I'm too stubborn to give up on this project. For those who don't know, I'm witing a novel.

Yes, I'm still writing it. Now a bit more consistently.

So I decided to create a place specifically to talk about this project, update those interested in the progress and offer some peeking behind the scenes.

This is an art blog, not an author's one, and I suck at blogging. So I opted for a mailing list. I looked up many cool places before deciding on Substack, mostly because I had help setting it up. I've been subscribed to some mailing lists there without an account for some time, so I believe you really just need an email, no account. Or so I think.

Tumblr kills posts with links, so please just copy-paste the written link in your browser and subscribe to the mailing list. I'll be sending the first update on the project soon, and hopefully will be able to keep a consistent schedule with these updates as well. No spam, promise.

Wulfgard sketch dump

I cannot recommend Knightfall enough!

Quite literally the best book I've read this year so far. Solid characters, amazing fights and action sequences, epic battles, strong friendships and werewolves! An adventure in its best sense. Can't wait for the sequence, Bloodmoon.

Please give @maverick-werewolf's fiction books a chance, she's a very talented author.

Hod and Ghisla from The Second Blind Son

I started this in 2023, but only after my brother's recent soft pressure I decided to finish it. Quite rare for me to like a second book in a series more than the first, but Hod is too precious.

Somehow I got into kdrama and my first choice couldn't be better.

I started a new sketchbook!

This one is very special because it was done in partnership with Shigeoka Woodwork. I did the cover design and my friend handcrafts each sketchbook with a lot of care. Aside from this cover, I'm responsible for two other designs of his wooden sketchbooks. And yes, I earn a percentage for each purchase.

These first few pages are full of experimentation with different materials. Let's see what kind of illustrations I'll create here in the future.
