(NFS) This is one of the most stunning pieces in my collection: a naturally etched Pink Spodumene (variety Kunzite). This crystal is from the Corrego de Urucum Mine, near Galileia, in Minas Gerais, Brazil. This is the complete crystal with a clean break at the base, but is otherwise perfect. This specimen has a very high luster, and a gorgeous pink color, (which is caused by traces of Lithium). I think this is one of the most eye catching pieces in my whole collection, it’s so beautiful, I love it! 💗

(NFS) My pocketrock for the day, is this stunning, Hematite included Starbrary Quartz Crystal, found west of the town of Corinto, in Minas Gerais, Brazil. I love the deep starry pockmarks, and the beautiful, geometric etched shapes on the sides of this crystal. This specimen is completely clear through the center, with red, oxidized Specular Hematite near the outer sides... in fact, there’s so much Hematite that this crystal almost resembles Smoky Quartz! I love it, it’s one of my favorite crystals in my collection!

Goodnight! ⭐️💤😴💤⭐️ I love this naturally-etched Rutilated Smoky Quartz from Bahia, Brazil... it's so beautiful! 😍 This specimen has several fine golden Rutile needles on the surface, that are almost invisible! Rutile is natural titanium oxide, and the golden color is likely produced from traces of iron. I've been collecting rocks with inclusions for many years, and Rutilated Quartz sits amongst my favorites! ✨💛✨ Minerals.net states, "Rutilated Quartz is a transparent Quartz with golden yellow Rutile inclusions that are in hairlike growths. The Rutile inclusions range from thin, sparse, and parallel, to thick, dense, and crisscrossed, and everything in-between. Each Rutilated Quartz gemstone is unique in its pattern of Rutile inclusions. Rutilated Quartz is one of the few gemstones desirable because of its inclusions. This gives it a special allure and desirability as a unique gemstone type. Rutilated Quartz exists mainly in colorless, transparent Quartz, although a brown, smoky Rutilated Quartz also exists but is less common. Other color varieties of Quartz are rarely if ever encountered in rutilated form." Source: http://m.minerals.net/GemStoneDefinition.aspx?name=rutilated_quartz

Welcome aboard Shaman’s Dream Quartz Express! ✈️ (NFS) I love that this natural, uncut Lodolite crystal resembles an airplane! :) This Quartz specimen has a gorgeous “key” mark at the tip, where another crystal grew! Although it’s hard to see in this video, this crystal contains a few thin strands of golden Rutile... the other inclusions in this mineral, are Kaolinite and Iron (Hematite). Lodo is a Spanish word for mud... many of these crystals appear to have an inner garden, (in some circles, they’re called “Garden Quartz” or “Landscape Quartz,” as they often contain a rainbow of inclusions, from reds, to whites, to browns, oranges, and greens. This specimen has a high luster, (even on the side with the inclusions!) Due to time constraints, I wasn’t able to feature this specimen’s double termination... (it’s stunning!) I’ll try taking a video of it when I can get better lighting.

This gorgeous, electric-blue Crystalline Kyanite, is from a new find from a place they call La Mesa, north of city of Capelinha, in Minas Gerias, Brazil. It's sooooooooo beautiful! 😍😍😍 Come visit my shop on Etsy at: https://www.etsy.com/shop/nebuloso According to Wikipedia, "Kyanite is a typically blue Silicate mineral, commonly found in Aluminium-rich Metamorphic Pegmatites and/or Sedimentary Rock. Kyanite in Metamorphic rocks generally indicates pressures higher than four kilobars. Although potentially stable at lower pressure and low temperature, the activity of water is usually high enough under such conditions that it is replaced by hydrous Aluminosilicates such as Muscovite, Pyrophyllite, or Kaolinite. Kyanite is also known as Disthene, Rhaeticite and Cyanite. Kyanite is a member of the aluminosilicate series, which also includes the polymorph andalusite and the polymorph sillimanite. Kyanite is strongly anisotropic, in that its hardness varies depending on its crystallographic direction. In Kyanite, this anisotropism can be considered an identifying characteristic. Kyanite is used primarily in refractory and ceramic products, including porcelain plumbing fixtures and dishware. It is also used in electronics, electrical insulators and abrasives."

This is an incredibly rare, Red Plume Agate, found near the town of Brenda in Arizona. The shop I acquired this slice from, is in Cottonwood. I love all the rich reds and golds that are separated by sparkly, druzy-filled micro-cavities. The green “lines” on the edges, are made of thousands of tiny little dots, resembling Moss Agates! And that botryoidal rocky edge on top and bottom is so cool! I really like this piece! I love that there’s so many varieties of Agates found all over the world, and you don’t have to travel far to find them! #redplumeagate, #brendaplumeagate, #plumeagate, #agate, #dendrites, #plume, #chalcedony, #quartz, #druzy, #botryoidal, #red, #gold, #green, #lgbt, #gay, #crystals, #stones, #minerals, #gems, #gemstones, #rocks, #nofilter

This is a stunning Piedmontite included Smoky Quartz! It was found in a newly mined area they call La Mesa which is near the city of Capelinha, in Minas Gerais, Brazil. It’s one of my favorite crystals! I love playing with the Schiller effect on the Piedmontite inclusions, which look silvery in bright, sunny light. With indoor light, you can clearly see the red crystals shooting through the Smoky Quartz. The luster on this crystal is incredible, (its soooo shiny!) This gem is strikingly beautiful, I really love it! ❤️ #piedmontite, #piedmontitesmokyquartz, #epidote, #red, #silver, #smokyquartz, #quartz, #quartzcrystal, #rockcrystal, #inclusions, #lgbt, #gay, #crystals, #stones, #minerals, #gems, #gemstones, #rocks, #nofilter

From my private collection: Botswana Agate. This naturally colored specimen looks like a watercolor painting! I love the hourglass shape that resembles the Norse Rune, Dagaz, but can also resemble a child like version of a butterfly! I love all the colors in this piece: violet, lavender, pink, peach, white and grey... it’s stunning on both sides! (To me, the back resembles a seed!) I LOVE the faint banding, rippling through the bright peach... this is one of my favorite pocket rocks, I really like it a lot! ❤️ About Agates: Agate is the name given to a group of silicate minerals that are made up primarily of Chalcedony. Chalcedony is a member of the Quartz family of minerals. Like Quartz, Chalcedony is silicone dioxide with a chemical formula of SiO2. The main difference between Quartz and Chalcedony is in the size of the individuals crystals. Chalcedony is termed microcrystaline meaning that individual crystals are too small to be seen by the naked eye. Agates are formed primarily in cavities of volcanic rock. Over time silica rich water seeping through the rock deposits minerals on the inside of these cavities. Gradually layers of silicate material build up eventually filling the cavity completely. The layers often have subtle differences in mineral content giving the agate a banded appearance." #botswanaagate, #agate, #quartz, #volcanic, #geology, #mineralogy, #science, #crystals, #stones, #minerals, #gems, #gemstones, #rocks, #favorites, #lgbt, #gay, #white, #grey, #violet, #lavender, #peach, #pink, #watercolor, #watercolorpainting, #painting, #hourglass, #seed, #pocketrocks

Today's Pocket Rock is a Super Seven Crystal! This is a very beautiful, Double-Terminated, Elestial Super Seven Crystal from Espíritu Santo, Brazil. I love that it's outward appearance is rough and Smoky... but it's only when you look inside, that it's inner beauty is revealed! The special unique trait in these crystals, is that they contain metallic ribbons of Cacoxenite, Goethite, Lepidocrocite, and Rutile, and they're suspended in a crystal blend of Smoky Quartz, Clear Quartz and Amethyst! (Hence the name, Super Seven!) Because of their unique blend of inclusions, they're highly sought after by collectors and jewelers! To me, these gems could almost serve as a reminder of the beauty within all of us! I love them!!! ❤️❤️❤️ #supersevencrystals, #superseven, #cacoxenite, #lepidocrocite, #goethite, #hematite, #smokyquartz, #amethyst, #clearquartz, #quartz, #quartzcrystals, #elestial, #doubleterminated, #inclusions, #lgbt, #gay, #innerbeauty, #crystals, #stones, #minerals, #gems, #gemstones, #rocks, #mineralogy, #gemology, #nofilter

Today I carried two pocket rocks: a tumble-polished Agni Gold Danburite from the Uluguru Mountains in the Morogoro Region of Tanzania, and a raw piece of Golden [Yellow] Labradorite [Bytownite] from the Dorado Mine, in Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico.
🌈Likely influenced by my artistic side, I honestly don’t have a favorite color! If I was forced to choose one, I would probably say, rainbow (because I love all the colors!) So far, this week, it seems that I’ve been attracted to yellow minerals. I have loved the color yellow since I was a child, and I’ve associated it as being cheerful and vibrant. I like that the two stones I carried today, are different shades of yellow. The rarest of the two, is my Agni Gold Danburite which has a very lively saturation of bright yellows, while my Yellow Labradorite is more in the “gold” spectrum. Both of these specimens have been in my collection for over seven years! 💛💛
According to #wikipedia, "[Danburite] has a Mohs hardness of 7 to 7.5 and a specific gravity of 3.0. The mineral has an orthorhombic crystal form. It is usually colourless, like Quartz, but can also be either pale yellow or yellowish-brown. It typically occurs in contact Metamorphic Rocks.
The Dana classification of minerals categorizes Danburite as a Sorosilicate, while the Strunz classification scheme lists it as a Tectosilicate; its structure can be interpreted as either.
Its crystal symmetry and form are similar to Topaz; however,Ttopaz is a Calcium Fluorine Bearing Nesosilicate. The clarity, resilience, and strong dispersion of Danburite make it valuable as cut stones for jewelry.
Golden Labradorite (also known as Bytownite) is a calcium rich member of the plagioclase solid solution series of feldspar minerals. Like others of the series, Golden Labradorite forms grey to white triclinic crystals commonly exhibiting the typical plagioclase twinning and associated fine striations.
Golden Labradorite is a rock forming mineral occurring in Mafic Igneous Rocks such as Gabbros and Anorthosites. It also occurs as Phenocrysts in Mafic Volcanic Rocks. It is rare in Metamorphic Rocks. It is typically associated with Pyroxenes and Olivine. The mineral was first described in 1835 and named for an occurrence at Bytown (now Ottawa), Canada."
