A time where the sun shines through the window while having a cup of coffee, put on a playlist and just sit in the moment. It is so so so important to make time for you to rest physically and emotionally. That is probably the biggest lesson I learned this past year. That rest time is just as important if not more important than productive time, prioritize your rest and self care.  I started a new highlight, where each day I am going to share a song that I’ve been loving. Music has been a huge comfort and source of happiness for me over the last year. Happy Saturday ✨ Sorry I haven’t posted in a few days. Work was really hard this week and then yesterday I had a terrible headache. Sometimes the best thing to do is to do nothing, and that’s okay. It is important to rest when you need to. Yesterday, I did nothing but watch This is Us and Alice in Borderland. But today I’m hoping to get some cleaning done, hopefully listen to a bit of my audiobook or I might just listen to Day6. I have absolutely been loving this group, there sound is beautiful and I’m really happy to have discovered them this month. I have fallen in love with the Fallen men series. I saw @tays.tales post these books and I was really intrigued. I’m so happy I started this book, because within a few pages I knew I was going to love it. Lesson in Corruption by @gianadarlingauthor ★★★★ This story follows Cressida, a young teacher that got married when she was eighteen to an older man. Lately she feels as if she is with him to please her parents and not because she actually loves him. She decides to ask for a divorce, now she lives in a small rundown cabin, working as a teacher at an elite school. She unexpectedly starts s fling with a hot blond biker. She’s finally allowing herself to live and give in to her desires. But when she finds out her new student happens to be the biker, she panics. I loved the chemistry between the shy teacher and the bad boy biker! King was such a swoon worthy character, a cute biker with so much charm, and a poet! Ohh and did I mention it’s set in Vancouver, having a Canadian setting makes me so so happy! This was the first motorcycle romances I’ve read and I loved it so much. One of my goals this year is to read more middle grade. Happy Wednesday 🧡 How is 2021 treating you? So far it’s a little bit of the same. A lot of new cases were just confirmed so we have moved back into the orange phase. Reading wise I feel it’s been good, I’ve finished two books and have started 4 others. Today I started Dark Lover by JR Ward, this is a buddy read with @bookishlei ! The Wrong Family, was the perfect book to start off the year with . Taryn Fisher just writes about messed up characters meeting other messed up characters and it’s a whole vibe. This is definitely a must read for thriller fans. There were multiple times I thought I figured it out and of course I was wrong! 🌟 Is there s book you meant to read in 2020 but didn’t get to? For me that would be Starfish, this book has been on many TBR’s. And I don’t know why I keep passing it up and I do really want to read it so I’m hoping that real soon, I actually read this one. So, I’m not going to be able to finish any more books before Friday. 🌙 Do you do any kind of journaling? This is my new bullet journal, I’m in love with these stickers and I’m really excited to set up my 2021 bullet journal. This was my first year using this style of journaling and I’ve learned a lot about what spreads I like along the way. I won’t be using weekly spreads in 2021 they didn’t work for me, most of the time I didn’t have anything to write so it ended up being a waste of space.
