Recently played through NiGHTS into Dreams for the first time on Steam and I loved it! I really love the character designs, level designs and the lore within the game as well. Here is a drawing of NiGHTS in my style, something quick I did and I might do Reala next. I am also currently playing through NiGHTS Journey of Dreams on the Wii and have also ordered the original Saturn version to play. The second game is okay and I don't mind it so far. However, in comparison to the original I find the original better, but my opinion may change once I finish Journey of Dreams. I definitely recommend NiGHTS to anyone, it's an absolute gem of a game to play and only takes like 1-2 hours to complete. Definitely a little stress relief game if you've got nothing else to do.

Forgot my Tumblr existed, so here’s a piece I did last year of Serena. During that time last year and I played through Pokemon X and Y again. While the games did bring a lot of cool features, in my opinion, I think they’re the worst in the series, but the anime is pretty awesome and so is Serena :>

Here's a drawing of Paul that I made last year and forgot about ;w; After seeing the new Journey's opening and seeing that Paul is finally back I just had to finish the drawing off. I'm really happy he's back, he's definitely one of my favourite characters from the PokeAni and I hope they utilise him properly too.

For this story idea I did for my Literary and Creative writing course, we had to choose a literary theory to implement into our creative piece, and I chose queer theory. These are all the drawings I did for the course, I definitely learned a lot throughout this course too! Especially improving my creative writing skills.

Main premise: Finding more about yourself and realising what truly makes yourself happy. Tackles issues relating to LGBT relationships 

Dawn’s soul gets split into two, due to her confusion on who she truly is. Since the soul preserves the body’s growth, what happens if that growth is disrupted? In Dawn’s case, society has always told her that a man and woman should belong together and her soul mate is out there. However, Dawn has never had feelings for a guy, but, realises that she likes girls. Artemis is a girl she dearly cares for and loves and Dawn wants to express these feelings towards Artemis. However, Dawn also knows that it will be socially wrong. Everyone would look down upon her, as soul mates should be a male and female together. This universe I have created has a strong belief with the existence of a soul. The majority believe that every soul has a purpose in life if it be the plants, animals and humans. A male and a female can reproduce and create more souls, while same-sex individuals cannot… This is why Dawn’s soul splits into two, she believes if she was different she could be with Artemis. In the beginning, she likes being Dusk, as she can finally be with Artemis. However, she can’t remember anything and realises that it isn’t truly her being with Artemis. However, this all links back to queer theory, that both heterosexuals and homosexuals are performative with their nature and how we perceive or recognise ourselves as either feminine or masculine. Butler defines gender as performative which functions as a form of social action. The internal essence of gender is manufactured through a sustained set of acts through the gendered stylisation of the body. This performative nature affects the soul and how the soul shapes the body. Butler’s theory is partially based on Foucault’s notion that the soul gives the body either feminine or masculine attributes. If Dawn believes being a male would allow her to fit into society, then her soul will take upon this form.

Drew a Kappa for an animated production for my Creative Production course. It’s stressful doing a lot of illustration, 3D modelling and animated work when you’re also the creative director and production manager @-@ still a lot of fun though! Hopefully, the final outcome will be just as an awesome, the team is working super hard

Commission for mistyfoe, drew her character Sparky in my soft/cute style. I had a lot of fun drawing her too! Her design is amazing. 

If anyone is interested in commissions just contact me, I can try but it is hard for me to find time due to university as I am undertaking an internship. Perhaps making a price list would be helpful so people know how much I charge :P

I find it cool that some Digimon have different variants, kinda like Shiny Pokemon but with unique Digivolution lines. I just recoloured the drawings I did :)

A character I created for my Animation Design course last year, I quite like his design :) Zed is an alien of a species I am unsure on at the moment 

I also designed him for another course for Screen Genres, where my group had to pitch an idea and we went for a sci-fi musical animated show. It was titled Star Galaxy Academia

As shown I have drawn him in two different styles of mine, a simplified and my more traditional style :)

Cartemis is a mix of Cartoon and Artemis, Artemis is sort of the mascot or a persona to represent me and represent what I make :) hence the name Cartemis Studios

For my first assignment for Character Performance last year we had to create a model turnaround of a character we had to create. This is my model of Steven, it's a low-poly model to replicate the look to PS1/N64 era games. I did all the texturing as well :) everything was done in Maya and Mudbox

The only criticism from my tutor was the fact they stated the camera was a bit shaky, I couldn’t agree more. I’m not sure why the camera is like that, perhaps I didn’t centre it properly when rendering this out.

To celebrate Digimon’s 20th anniversary I drew all the Digimon in my own style. I also tested out a new style of my own, a “soft” style of some sort :)

On a side note, Gatomon is probably my least favourite out of the lot, I’m not sure why, but I feel like she did not come out the way I wanted? Oh well haha, this will still fun to do!

My final animation for my Character Performance course for uni, the criticism I got from my tutor is mainly the consideration of character weight and try not to stagnate the character too much. This was a tricky one to do, not sure if I enjoy 2D or 3D animation more!

During this time I was also undertaking Digital Performance where I was doing my Steven and Luke project, hence why I used Steven for this animation

For my Animation Design course, we had to create multiple animations throughout the course, this is one of the many I did. I did pretty well in the course, it was the first time learning how to do 2D animation so it was a challenge! Plus I did intensive which was across only just 2 weeks to create three animations. My hand was dead after this course. This dog animation was my final animation, the only complaint I got was my timing was a bit off and it doesn't evoke much emotion, so that’s what I gotta focus on in the future! I made the animation in Adobe Photoshop and then used After Effects to finalise it, for extra I did a retro celluloid version as I love the aesthetic of retro cartoons.
