Crow: "I-I didn't break free until my brother's dying breath.. until the Thalmor bastard decided enough was enough and wanted me to put somewhat of a fight against them.." Taliesin: he remembers how precise Crow's fire magic was, how it could, and has, quickly dispatch of those who attacked her. "They didn't stand the chance they thought they did.. you killed them. In vengeance.. for those you've lost to them.." he brings his hand that pulled her to his side to the back of her head, carding his fingers in her brown hair. Crow: nods against him as she tries to silent her cries, still afraid of being too loud despite no longer being with them Crow: randomly giggles "You know.. I dread telling Caryalind.. please gods don't let this slip.. I don't want to worry him or make him feel anymore guilty than he already does.." Taliesin: "On my oath, I will not speak a word to his highness. Unless he asks for it specifically, then I fear my loyalties are with him." Crow: "Don't ruin the moment.. please.. I.. I need this.."
So im playing Taliesin's update for the first time ("omg Crow its been out for a little over three months what do you mean its for the first time?" Listen. I'm an idiot and had the wrong version on Xbox installed ok? Ok.)
Anyway. And ugh im thinking about how Crow would actually respond to Taliesin opening up about what happened (Specifically the end) long ramble about oc lore
CW/TW: Character Death
THERE IS A PART TWO BC TUMBLR'S BEING WEIRD
Taliesin: "It's a long road, but.. I'm glad to travel it with you." Crow: "Yeah.." Crow: Crow: "Would you.. do you want to know why I've been so wary of you?" Taliesin: "Hm? You want to share as well?" Crow: "I mean.. its only fair, right?" Taliesin: "This isn't about fairness, you know.. gods know I'm not deserving of such." Crow: "the Blades.. my dad.. he was one of them.. maybe the best of them.. not that that really mattered." Crow: "I'm sure you can summize that he didn't die in the war, as that was, what? 30 years ago?" Taliesin: "Yes, about that long.. you don't have to tell me.. or continue I know well about the Thalmor and their persecution of the Blades.. especially after the War.." Crow: "I know I don't, but tonight seems like a good night to be emotionally vulnerable." sighs, curling up on herself tighter "One night, I was still young.. maybe around 5 or 6, they just.. barged into our home. It was a late night, so there weren't many witnesses.. I couldn't sleep that night, and I wonder if it was Akatosh's doing.. or the dragon blood.. or I don't know.. but I feel there was a reason I couldn't sleep than night. I was with my dad when they demanded he come with them.. my dad didn't want to leave me, nor did he want to suffer whatever fate the Thalmor had for him in their dungeons.. and so he.. he resisted. And he died. By their blade..." she shivers despite being next to the fire, unshed tears line her eyes. "I.. I don't know why they let me live.. the Thalmor don't know mercy, right? They couldn't have left me alive because I was a child.." her breathing picks up and she begins to cry silently Taliesin: places a hand on her back, rubbing soft circles into it. "Breathe.. take your time.. if you want, you can stop.." Crow: "N-no! You- you deserve to know..." she wipes at her tears, willing her voice to work "a-anyway... my brother.. twin brother.. he had woken up.. and- and I think the Thalmor were leaving.. I was still crying over my father.. so.. everything is well.. blurry.." Taliesin: "Sorry for asking.. but I don't see the connection of why you were afraid of me using healing magic on you earlier. You said your father died to their blades.. not magic." Crow: "R-right.. it doesn't, does it- I don't.. It's hard to.." silence, she looks at Taliesin, her voice quiet yet rough with emotion. "Have you.. have you ever had Fury casted on you? Or have you casted it upon someone else?" Taliesin: "Regrettably yes.. it's unfortunately a good spell to even the odds in an otherwise unfair fight." Crow: "Right, well.. my brother and I, after a few years after our dad's death, began looking for any Thalmor agents' location.. hoping that if they were close.. we could maybe get one up on them. But. But gods, did they know what we were doing.. we were alone one night, one night were we let down out guards and were just two 13 year olds.. then they attacked. Clearly wasn't a fair fight from the beginning, although I assume that is the Thalmor's top strategy. Start out overwhelming them to really diminish any hope their enemies have of surviving.. anyway, sorry I trailed off.. my brother and I surrendered rather quickly.. I was the only one with any chance of fighting against them, what with being the only one of us two that was capable of magic.." she inhaled shakily, biting the inside of her cheek, before exhaling. "I think they knew that.. for an elf with.. with eyes like mine. Eyes meant for mer.. and this.. brutish scar that seemed to cut from the corner of his lip up to his earlobe.. He looked at me with disgust, then with what only could have been sadistic delight.. I didn't see him cast the spell.. I barely knew what I was doing. I knew it wasnt me.. but I felt everything. Like a dream.. a cruel, vivid dream. I remember my brother's screams.. I remember the roughness of a rock beneath my fingers.. the feeling of his blood on me as I bashed him with it again and again and again.."

Yay, a path of Einar and Sorayne where they don't end up dead. Surely they're allowed inside... right? @tes-gala
Story and lore beneath cut
Sorayne hesitated at the mirror. Was it really worth looking at herself? She knew what she looked like. But what is the definition of perfect? Of normal? She needed to know.
However, what greeted her was not her own skin but rather a reflection; a path. It was her and a man she didn’t want to recognize. The man who screamed at her, cursed at her, as he died. Claiming to have been her love before the Planemeld. Before the ritual.
They were at some form of party. A celebration, maybe? There were men and mer of all kind, all dressed in outfits Sorayne could barely connect to as Daedra and Aedra themed.
She recognized the theme of both outfits of the pair dancing before her. Her younger self wore a dress themed after the Yokudan god, Hoonding; the Make Way god.
And, ofcourse, Einar wore a suit themed after his Prince.
"Admiring yourself?" Emrys hummed from a distance.
Sorayne rolled her eyes, "Not exactly."

Sorayne: walks into Silverpeak Lodge with the Knight of the Void Taliesin: "You little-" sees Sorayne and the Knight "oh! Oh hello, welcome back." Sorayne: sighs "What. Happened here? I leave you guys on your own for not even 3 hours and I come back to this?!" Taliesin: "She bit me!" Crow: "I gave you a warning. It's your fault you failed to take it seriously." Taliesin: "Oh, so gods forbid I try to assist you? Is that it?" Crow: "I didn't need your help!" Sorayne: "Enough! Please... Taliesin. What was it you were trying to help her with?" Taliesin: "I was going to make sure that burn was healing fine, maybe assist it with some healing magic, but then that Nord savage bit me." Sorayne, to Crow: "You bit him. Because he was trying to help. You do realize I was going to look at it when I got back, or in the morning if you actually listened to me for once." Crow: "..." Crow: "sorry..."

Thinking about Sorayne and her as a character and her story in ESO and how that still effects her centuries later in Skyrim
Like... she gets strange, sometimes twisted, dreams of other paths every time she sleeps. And there are times in the waking world where she doesn't remember if it was a path or not. Like let's say she sees something in her room on the floor. Something she swears someone else took. Something she swears she gave to someone else. Someone that doesn't even live with her. But the person is faceless, nameless, now. Before it was so clear, she swore it was. Was it from a path? Or was she misremembering? It hurts her head, so often she doesn't dwell on it.
Especially before the crew finds out about Ithelia and Sorayne's role in what happened in West Weald

Potema: "Ah... I see we have three after my own ambitions here within these ancient halls. Oh what wonderful additions you three shall make in my undead army." Emrys: "I can't die, you unholy spectral shit stain." Gabrielle: "Hm. Look who's talking about unholy." Emrys: "I wish you stayed trapped in the Deadlands." Sorayne: "Emrys!" Emrys: "WHAT?!"

Serana, after watching an Akaviri threaten to pluck her fangs out with no one objecting it, a Redguard with strange scarring on her face yell what she's pretty sure was a slur at a Daedra Shrine in the distance... twice, a Dunmer with daedric themed robes threaten to send an anonymous letter to the Grand Overseer of the Aldmeri Dominion that detailed the location of a sandy colored Khajiit, which caused the simultaneous panic of two Altmer and a Changeling, in which a werewolf Dragonborn laughed and said "four with one stone... nice", an Argonian child being the most adult out of everyone there, yet is very creative with insults and curses, an Argonian alchemist and Altmer mercenary bicker like they are children, A Breton with a dwemer spider being absolutely unfazed with her being a vampire, a follower of Boethiah straight up mocking a knight with dark robes, who, in response, made Serana feel as if she's about to be witness to a crime of some kind: "If I ever travel with you guys again, I'm bringing a bingo card and seeing how many I can cross off."

The Modded Follower Experience
Gabrielle: desperately trying to reach out to Mara Xelzaz: "Dinner is served."
Gabrielle: talking about what happened at the temple with Crow Xelzaz: "If I wanted to poison you Nebarra I already would have 😒"
Disnel: "You don't seem to sleep alot, are you ok?" Val: "Eh, we'll talk later"
Some Windhelm Guard walking by: "By the gods. A dragon attacked Whiterun...how could mere men bring down such a beast?" Disnel: "Do you think when someone says 'by the gods,' someone like, I dunno, Akray just goes: *GASP*"
Lydia: "You're awfully fond of claymores and battleaxes huh? Laughs my mother would have liked you." Gabrielle: "I want to cry out for my mother...I miss her."
Gabrielle: "Every day I prayed to Mara to let the next time he gut me be the last" Caryalind: "Are you alright?"

Sorayne: "Oh wow, the weather looks just like you, Nebarra. Shitty." Nebarra: "The forecast did say things were going to get wet. I'm sure that'll be a first for you." Sorayne: "Oh yes, several inches of rain; I heard. Can you imagine that? More than one inch?" Nebarra: "You know, I think I'm having trouble. Maybe if you moved a little that way into on coming traffic, the world and I would have the peace and quiet to envision such a thing." Sorayne: "I would, but then who would take care of our dear Dragonborn? What would she do without her best friend? She wouldn't have anyone left to talk to, hang out with, or walk her home during a storm. Oh how I'd miss the way she'd say 'Thank you, Rayne!'." Nebarra: pushes Sorayne into the rain Sorayne: Nebarra: "Oh shit, you didn't melt. Wizard of Oz lied to me." Sorayne: "I hate you." Nebarra: "I hate you more!"

Self Reblog bc im thinking abt this
"The scenery is fake here" could be real life (real bc of it being VR)
"There's a giant snake here" could end up being Martyn during Limited Life
Idk if anyone has done this, and if so I wanna see
BUT has anyone made an edit of the Life Series to the song "The Whole Being Dead Thing"?
Because I see it fitting the series good but I don't trust myself to do so. I also can't really explain why I see it fitting except for "Welcome to a show about death!" And its like the Watchers/The Secret Keeper or whatever it's called from Secret Life
