on today's episode of "was that game real or just an entirely fabricated memory," I present to you: boy sitting beneath a tree game

It was like this but worse. And yes, "worse" in this instance is, unfortunately, possible. It was an old game played in a web browser and it was pixel-art-ish? But kind of scary-looking pixel art.

I vaguely remember that it was math-themed. Probably. Possibly. A boy sat beneath an apple (???) tree, and above him were numbers (???) you could click on. It was on a website with a bunch of other games (naturally; a whole website didn't exist solely for this game). The year would have been...2001? 2002? I played it in computer lab time in elementary school. While I remember using floppy disks in this class, I'm almost positive it did not, in fact, come on a floppy disk.

And that's it. That's all I remember. :) :) :)

Does anyone have any idea at all what this might have been? I know I've given you wonderful clues to work with :)

Just to hype my mom up for fun, I told her I posted her Cuties and that "people on the Internet" wanted them back in production. She was like "oh, your friends want them? Here, I still have them" and proceeded to pull out a box of them.

She'd "put them in there for safekeeping" because they "were too cute for a dusty attic" 😭

So back when I was selling at cons in the late 2000s/early 2010s, my mom came up with this line of marshmallow characters called "Cuties" and made dozens and dozens of variants. I still have most of the original cuties, and I have these pictures from when I was originally "advertising" on the cons' pages, too
