You know what? Forget the discourse. This is no longer my hill to die on.
You wanna ship canonically aspec characters because “aro/ace people can still date/have sex”? Okay, then. LET’S DO IT.  I wanna see an aromantic character with an alloromantic love interest. I wanna see that confession of undying love and the moment when the aro character says they will never feel the same way—not romantically.
I wanna see the asexual character with their allosexual partner. I wanna see that moment when the ace characters tries sex with their partner for the first time because they want to make them happy only to realize that they are 100% sex repulsed.
I wanna see the two demiromantics who don’t even know if what they feel is romantic attraction, but they adore each other and just want to make healthy snacks together and destroy each other at Mario Kart.
I wanna see the two aces who love sensual affection and are figuring out what they define as sexual or not.
I wanna see the romance + sex neutral aroace who happily and consensually does whatever makes their partner happy…but their partner still struggles with feeling undesired.
Oh, babe. You thought shipping an aspec character would be just like shipping an allo character?

well yeah i have a pet hydra and it only has one head. i'm not going to cut its head off just to make it look cooler, you asshole. that's seriously unethical. and i'm not letting you cut its head off either. if you really want a hydra with multiple heads, you should go for a rescue- but if you want your pet to look cooler at the cost of its physical health, maybe you shouldn't get any kind of pet at all. no, the hydra's not for guarding my evil tower, it's my pet. have you ever heard of a pet? like a puppy or a kitty? you think i can't defend my evil tower by my self?

NEW ALIENS I've been thinking on for MONTHS and finally cracked the code for. Read more for some of the LORE.
Their basic gist of the Dicephs is that they are a eusocial species in a feudal society, but they're bug aliens in a very harsh environment. Still a SWILL of ideas but I'm tryna play more loose w em, art and worldbuilding wise. The MAIN thing I've been chewing on is that these guys are made up of technically 2 conjoined individuals.
Tumblr media
Most animals on this planet are a male and female conjoined together whilst in their larval state. But typical Dicephs are sexless and most people are going to be a combo of two siblings. While royals have genetically identical halves, most people will have noticeable variation between their head and ass half! Being that each half is technically a different person. Dependent on undecided factors usually one larva will win out and get to develop into the sentient head, whilst the other enters a kind of trance like dormant state the rest of their life submitting to the leading half.

The truth of their existence.

You know for the first 18-ish years of your life everyone your age is mostly doing the same things and then all of a sudden every year for the rest of your life somebody your age is getting divorced while somebody else just learned what a leaf is and you have no idea what’s going on or what you’re supposed to be doing

"On Muihse" - Texts
Time and time again do I warn others about the importance of diuhri. Perhaps I was not blunt enough--it is fatally dangerous to allow a muihse to be. It is a cruelty to put onto the soul, and it is a cruelty to put onto oneself.
One must understand, a stray soul, missed by Ophiuke, is no more familiar to you than a stranger. A stranger to whom you've just sentenced to what could be centuries of suffering.
Centuries of wandering unseen; of agony and confusion; of yearning for a normalcy they can no longer fathom. Centuries of parasitism on the living. Faiti spares none in the end, and to hide a soul from Ophiuke is simply an act of cruelty, however misguided.
Their memories remain with the namhie, so seek shelter with them, in what community you may have. However you may cope with your loss, I urge you to perform diuhri to the best of your ability. Do not allow a muihse to be.
--------------------
"On Muihse" is an excerpt from a strongly-worded, multi-page lecture booklet written by Q'alui of Neusuq lauK'eteka. Q'alui is a well-known Interrer of Ophiuke (an individual whose job it is to locate and relinquish any muihse they find to Ophiuke). She wrote the excerpt after witnessing a recent uptick in reports of muihse attaching to and draining or killing hosts in the "city" (called eumeuya in Sk'ausiya) of Hahel.
Q'alui is well known as not only a muihse hunter, but also as a scholar of topics regarding death, and a devotee of Faiti.

In fact here's my idea for a biological classification of "dragons" as a polyphyletic (also paraphyletic, but that is more accurate) taxon, instead of that Animal Planet documentary that said that they all descended from the same common ancestor
The Long or "eastern dragons" are actually the last non-mammalian synapsids, having adapted to semi-aquatic and flying lifestyles. The Andean Amaru is also a very derived member of Synapsida with unclear phylogeny.
"Western" dragons and wyverns (another case of a polyphyly) are descended from crocodylomorphs, possibly Ornitosuchia (which were very real crocodiles that could stand in two legs). The origin of flight on them is still discussed but it seems to have evolved from modified rib initially used as display structures.
The feathered serpents of Mesoamerica are actually derived from dinosaurs like Yi Qi, which makes them a sister group to Aves and also the other remaining living dinosaurs. As a side note, phoenixes are also basal birds.
The incredibly diverse group often regarded as "wyrms" which included most "dragons" that lived in subterranean environments, was actually the first to be split, with many being reclassified in Squamata (lizards and snakes), Urodela (salamanders and such) and even a few Caecilians (legless amphibians)
Western taxonomy beginning with Linneaus classified all these creatures inside of the order "Draco" inside Amphibia and later Reptilia. It was with later research that divided Reptilia that the phylogeny of dragons began to split, first into Amphibia and Reptilia, and then taxa inside Reptilia like Synapsida and Diapsida. Further paleontological discoveries have cleared up the phylogeny of these creatures though there remain many open questions.
Of course, there is a trait that virtually all members of the now obsolete order Draco share; that is, supernatural and arcane power. However, this is a result of thaumaturgic selection, which I am not qualified to talk about.

There were some young kids playing at the park today. One of them said “Liar liar pants on fire!” The other one replied “I don’t even care about that. I don’t even believe in that.”
