Wait a little longer and linger in the moment
To see what you feel you can't look past
You can't lose what no one can take from you
That sense of loss is perception
That Everyone clings to
That Everyone would have you believe
Perception muddled by busy
Busy whatnots and shiny new baubles
Perception of who and what and where
Right and wrong painted in black and white
Instead of the greys of reality
But all over nonsense
Just perception, blinded by duality
Not actuality, and acceptance of being
How can you lose anything
You will always be a bright shining moment
So long as you choose to be
Don't let Everyone convince you
That a singular moment has to define you

It is something that happened
How you let that define you
Is up to you
