Catholicism is just: believing everyone is worth saving, prayer beads and candles, seeing God in nature, seeing God in yourself, in others, in bread and wine, the sea and the stars are a reflection of our mother, there is divinity in the disgusting, God is not some abstract idea, he is real and touches you physically, he crawls inside you and you are made holy, the dead are your family, you have never felt more loved by God, you have never felt more hated by something else you can’t place, what even is catholic guilt, if this is guilt I’m feeling I never want to be absolved, I need to be forgiven and I already am, the world tells me I don’t need Him, but I’m sick to my bones with the ache of it.

Chapter Three of All I Wanted Was A Smile is finally out, and it's slightly more plot heavy than you'd think for being this early on.

Julian wasn’t the type to deny it when he found himself developing a crush. But he wasn’t the type to stalk through someone’s pictures, fumbling to find out what it was about them that had him so bloody hooked either.

Or, Julian is falling fast and Achilles is being aloof. Cue Julian slipping into old habits and coming to the realisation that he's been an utter ass to her. And not just in her clinic.

Julian has taken it upon himself to inconvenience Dr Selah at every possible oppertunity, but somehow manages to find himself regarding her with less pettiness than at the start of that appointment.

The amount of pain I went through while doing Asra's route is inhumane.

"I dug until my fingers bled. All I could find was charred bone and ash." WHAT, IM SORRY? WHAT.

His route is the definition of yearning and grief, I can go into full detail why that's the only route where we can see him as he truly is and where he's truly happy, but such post would be a yapping session
