a silly place for me to talk about Metal and Magic. I play mostly limited, and post my drafts/sealed decks here. RE: apparently I talk about all kinds of stuff here, so.. yeah.
Don't wanna be here? Send us removal request.

Hi guys, a few updates. I stopped posting my decks here because: 1. The Tumblr app is so bad, that I’m quite sure I posted like 5 decks and they weren’t uploaded before I gave up. 2. I started studying, so I hardly have time to come here anymore. I’ll still post every once in a while.
Anyway, I wrote a song about the BFZ storyline, from Ob Nixilis’s and Ayli’s point of view. Hope you enjoy it, those of you that aren’t afraid of heavy music

Two drafts in one night!
Both were 2-1. Power level on the BG delirium deck draft was insane.
Currently super hyped on Kaladesh. Will continue to draft EMN unwillingly.

I am dethroned. 2-1, lost at the finals to monogreen Emrakul (yup, he did it). Gisa and Geralf were really great. Happy to finally see a proper Zombies deck in this format.

3-0. Beat @arnon120 and his Liliana at the finals.
Started out as very black, and added some red because it was open, and vampires.
I actually p1p1’d a Midnight Scavengers, because the guy to my right opened a Graf Rats, and that’s no p1p1 no matter how bad your booster is.
Sin Prodder was great as usual, and Stromkirk Condemned was surprisingly good.

This is getting slightly ridiculous. I won another 2hg! This time I played this weird sacrifice-delirium-emerge deck, and my partner played the good old spirits deck. Time to start drafting!

I'm on a roll! Won the 2hg prerelease yesterday as well. As you can see, we went with BR removals and UW flying aggro. The Weaver of Lightning foil is without a doubt one of the prettiest cards I've seen.

Aaand.. I won the Sunday prerelease as well! Some lessons learned: 1. Melding into Chittering Host is very likely to win you the game. 2. Gisela is still good. 3. Unruly Mob + Gavony Unhallowed + Sanitarium Skeleton + an opponent has Insatiable Gorgers = good times. 4. Campaign of Vengeance is good even when you’re behind, if you board is developed enough.

I won the Saturday prerelease! This deck was sick. 5-0, didn’t lose a single game.

My last SOI draft deck (no, the 50 nis bill was not a part of it) I really wanted to try Call the Bloodline, and finally had the chance. Sweet deck, 2-1. The loss should've been a tie; I was too offensive during turns, instead of just trying to survive. Can't wait to try the new format at the prerelease this weekend!

The story is good, the writing was a bit behind it. Can't believe Sorin lost this fight, and that yet another fight did not end in death. Characters should die every once in a while to make the story realistic, wizards. Even main ones.
Magic Story: “Campaign of Vengeance” by Ari Levitch
A grudge a thousand years in the making is coming to a head. For Sorin, it is for the warping of his ancestral home. It is the unmaking of Avacyn. It is the coming of Emrakul. For Nahiri, it is the betrayal of a friend. It is the millennium spent trapped in the Helvault. It is the ruin of Zendikar in her absence. When two ancient Planeswalkers duel, entire planes feel it.
This week’s Magic story is “Campaign of Vengeance” by Ari Levitch, part of the Eldritch Moon storyline!

This deck really could have been fun. I had 5 rares and a mythic rare, removal, flyers.. the only thing required was to draw lands. Which I failed to do the entire draft. 0-2, drop (I really never do this, but the circumstances demanded I do). Oh well. Better luck next time.

Good story. I don't know which quote I like better: "Bless your bloodless heart" Or "Innistrad may be your domain, Sorin, but death is mine"
Magic Story: “Innistrad’s Last Hope” by Doug Beyer
Trying to exploit a deadly soul-twisting artifact AND circumvent a demonic pact AND stay alive on Innistrad – all while maintaining a spotless manor and an air of amused indifference – is probably impossible. But don’t tell Liliana Vess that. In this week’s Magic story, Liliana finds that solving her own woes might require saving everyone else on the plane. Check out “Innistrad’s Last Hope” by Doug Beyer, part of the Eldritch Moon storyline!

I loved it in Theros, would love to see it again.
Any chance we'll see you give your cryptic card-specific hints in articles again? I miss those, especially the ones you did for Time Spiral (Lightning Axe's "5 damage for R") and Zendikar (reminder text of "the land continues to burn").
I’m planning to do one for Kaladesh.

Get this, Ashiok is an English student.
Does Ashiok use "them?" I was under the impression Ashiok didn't use ANY third-person pronouns?
Ashiok doesn’t seem to like pronouns.

From Sunday's draft. I played the BR deck (0-2, 1 bye. Terrible draws. Pulled Declaration in Stone and a foil Descend Upon the Sinful but didn't play white) and my friend @wissenly had this amazing GW deck (2-1).

This deck was great. I got the Startled Awake on p2p3, and just couldn't pass it. Got some mixed signals, ended up not playing blue (except for the Forgotten Creation. The guy on my right was really pissed about me cutting his bomb mythic though) This was a 3-0, with some interesting wins: doubling Malevolent Whispers with Geistblast and Burn From Within. Also, Sanitarium Skeleton + Indulgent Aristocrat is a very real combo.
