Hopping on this blog to shamelessly promote some new writing that I'm doing... I started a Substack for book reviews (and maybe some more creative endeavors down the line). I might take this down later but there hasn't been much (or any) new OHC content in a long time so... here I am!

What does the (R) symbolize, and what is the difference between transcripts marked with and without one?

Great question! (R) means rerelease - I was writing these transcripts as they came out, and the original set of episodes was slightly different from the set that was rereleased in 2018. I may change that so that the “original” ones are marked instead of the rereleases, since the originals are not on the feed anymore (or, at least, aren’t in my feed).

Hi! This has been bugging me in my mind for a while. There was a small story told either in the podcast or during an NPR performance, and I cannot remember from where. It was about a person who could change the rhythm of a situation and make it be more harmonious? Something like that? If you know anything abt it pls help!
