VIP CAR INDONESIA
PARKING LOT PIMPIN'
Last week Overheat once again got the chance to hang with the VIP boys who represent the high-end stance rides that rule the streets of Jakarta. Not necessarily the ideal day for a video shoot, the initial plan for an outdoor session around JCC was relocated to the top floor of Plaza Senayan parking lot due to heavy rain.
It was all an easy access for VIP Car Indonesia. With the red carpet treatment from the management, they agreed to shut down the entire wing of the parking lot just for us. Indeed, it was a chill time to share a rainy Sunday afternoon with the VIPs. Check out the video, and you know what we mean. Cheers!

Overheat goes to Monaco Part 2
As the playground of the rich, luxury cars from Bentley, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and McLaren are treated like an average everyday ride to take you from point A to point B, which can easily be reached on foot. The only status that separates one ride to the other is the yacht club symbol attached to their license plate.
At the end of the day, all these exclusive rides are on display at the Casino Square where the legendary Hotel de PARIS is located, which is the center of the state. It was a very interesting spectacle to sit on the restaurant's terrace and see some of the most expensive cars in the world passing by or parked in front of the casino entrance.

Overheat goes to Monaco Part 1
If you got it, flaunt it! That was the theme of the day when Overheat visits Monte Carlo, Monaco earlier this month. Cars with the price tag above $100,000 minimum parked in every corner of the street.
With a population of around 30,000 people, Monaco has many destinations and attractions for the traveler, such as casinos, gambling, glamour, and sightings of the “rich and famous.” But most importantly for a car enthusiast, it is known for the famed Circuit de Monaco, where the F1 Monaco Grand Prix takes place. Monaco is such a small Principality; you can go drive around the entire Monte Carlo area a few lapses in an hour.

He Got It
Patrick’s Mugen RR FD1
Sometimes to feel as "part of the family" is not enough to satisfy the inner goals in our mind. The moment the squad meets up, looking from left to right, everyone might play the same game from the aero kits to performance parts. But the story behind each build is different.
To Patrick, just converting the exterior is just not enough. He trusts his mate down at one of the famous workshops here in Jakarta, Rev Body Repair, to convert his daily FD1 into one hell of perfection Mugen RR. Inside and out he compiled each and every part piece-by-piece.
Repainted from black to this refined red, from beige interior to matte black; slowly transforming this spotless conveyance to something else. It took months to refit the parts back from the bottom.
This photo shoot was somehow unplanned. It started when I was taking pictures of Toto’s GE, and then Toto introduced me to this dude. At first I thought it’s just another guy who fools around with another RR wannabe. As the sun goes down, we all got along pretty well, and it turns out, Patrick got more and more to show every inch of details. The carbon fiber interior, the original Type R seats, and the last but not least, even though the R18A still attached inside the hood, but this R18A feels desirable for daily.
Long story short that was the first day we tried the night shoot, after a good dinner treat from our good friend Toto and Patrick. It turned out to be much better day than I thought. Looking forward to hit it up with you guys again soon.
Exterior / Aero:
- Full Mugen RR Aero Kit

Small but Serious
G-Toto’s Honda Fit GE8
“It is all about the build. No matter how long it takes, as long as it is proper, it breaks necks,” Toto said, the proud owner of this freshly painted Premium Yellow Pearl 2. This car evolves since day one, when it was still plain white color, as a blank canvas out of the Honda factory.
Just like the Mugen RR Civic FD that he built in the past and the Civic FD Type R that he is still building recently, this Fit got no less attention than the others in his garage. The first intention of just testing ‘first and only’ working cruise control button right on the Fit, and it turned out to be more than what he had originally thought. Piece by piece he turned his daily into a serious project, but comfort is still the priority.
Toto is a huge fan of Honda. He studied every electrical and physical parts of the Honda that he owned to do a lot of DIYs. As you can see, this Fit is such a perfect example for all of you 'DIY freaks' out there. Toto himself installed most interior and performance parts. It might be ridiculous to hear this, but he started planning and buying the parts since 2010 then, which he bought his Fit in 2012. From the rare Yellow Original Spoon Intake Chambers with the combination of Honda aftermarket parts all the way to the Japan Sport Silencer Mugen muffler. L15 i-vtec never felt this good, the moment I stepped my foot on the pedal, makes no difference with the daily K20 torque.
Well, the pictures will tell closer attention to details.
Exterior / Aero:
- Japan Mugen Side Skirt
- USDM Modulo Spoiler
- Modulo Grill
Interior / Audio:
- Js Racing Steering Wheel
- Mugen Speedometer
- Js Racing Carbon Panels
- FD2R Engine Start Button
- Vox 3 Way Split Speakers
- Honda Fit Audio and Cruise Control
Performance:
- Spoon Intake Chamber
- KnN Typhoon Open Intake
- Js Racing Downpipe
- Sport Silencer Mugen muffler

FDSquad 2015 - Part 2
Now, back to the scene we covered last week. The FD Squad Indonesia, a club of 8th gen civic compiled since a long time back. They had a great turnout this year. Their first gathering of the year had a lot of surprises; their respective car keeps on getting faster and lower. From the FD1 to FD2R, pure factory N/A K20 to a K24T, and R18 to R18T, this year they definitely got a lot of serious mind about them turbo. It was like the year of T.
Time flies from 5 am to late afternoon talking with the crew. As I am one of the crew, believe me, nothing feels better than meeting up with supportive friends. Long story short, we will bring you each of these proper 8th gen. I’m pretty sure you can’t wait to look closer beyond each ride. Clue on what’s coming soon, the R, the Mugen RR, the Mugen, the Js R and the iconic Indonesian stance 8th.

FDSquad 2015 - Part 1
Since July ’72, Honda created the first generation Civic. Until today, the car has developed into many iconic designs. From young'ns to oldies many people still love the car, even though so much hatred comes from those who called the civic enthusiast as a "Japanese ricer."
What not to love about them civics? The EFs, EGs, EKs, ESs, FDs and the latest FBs. We all agree that this 4-door sedan or 3-door hatchback got nice lines. They are just right, not too big not too small, and not slow for sure. It's like an innocent kid with a lot of potential in the future that we don’t know.
Let’s just say civic old gens live until today and proves the phrase that old Hondas never die they just got faster and faster. The K series, B series and all those Vtecs might not be as fast compared to the V8, V12 or even boosted JZs or RBs engine, but the feeling of driving these Civics are just a pure enough satisfaction to some, the capability of reaching a certain level of “pulling head back” torque.
The 8th gen is just right on point ride for any age or any stage of professional modificator. From the FD1, FD2, FD2R, FD7, FA1, FG1, FG2, FA5, FK, FN and MK8, they share either the same R18 engine to K20Z or K20R. The Type R especially is one of the iconic JDM vehicles.
To be continued...

Classic Breed
Reza's E30
The E30 M40 is one of my favorite BMW models. Looking beyond its straight cubical timeless design, this piece of art is one hell of a tough daily driven ride, and on top of that most parts are still available around the market.
From custom made to the branded aftermarkets. Reza, as one of the representatives of Benhil Auto gaRage and the proud owner of this car, is a delusional man. He is in and out of the blues like this blue BMW. Reza said, “I respect my car like my girlfriend,” which doesn’t exist (peace bro). The car is still running great like its coming straight out of the factory, even though it's been around since 1990.
Well, it proves like what we said before, the car is simple and easy riding. While this is his first time tuning a BMW everything seems okay, even more than just okay. Simply stunning, simply neck breaking; he lowered this car using a custom 2 slings piece of springs each. Just as barbarian as the pun Bavarian
We’ll continue this talk after we feature his other ride, a ’74 Corolla ROLLA ROLLA with 2JZ swapped inside.
Happy New Year to all of our loyal site fans! We’ll bring you so much more articles next year. Stay Tuned…

Rad Red Ridin' Hood
Upay's E36
Boys will always be boys. The urge of wanting to own unlimited collection of classic cars has always been in Upay’s mind since he was young. Once he got the chance to make his childhood dream come true, he lost his mind. It all started from 60s Toyopet all the way to the exotics that he bought.
Yes, it is difficult nowadays to stand out, to break necks, among the stanced or even track-ready cars these days. “Keep it classic” is his motto. Keep it on its original designed lines.
Last week, we got to shoot one of his Bavarians. A sensual red E36, parts are originally kept since the 90s. With M bumpers and a set of what we can say “perfect fitment” Breyton Softline with the rare offsets, he managed to keep it clean but still got a chance to break BMW enthusiasts’ necks. This feature is the first of many Upay's private collections, stay tuned for more...

Bavarian Knight
Timothy's E46
Okay, so one of you must hear about this guy, Timothy Mer, yeap, he’s one of the uprising modification judges. Finally, we got to feature his iconic simple-breaking necks-stanced-out E46 after watching him got featured by other car bloggers.
Let’s start with the journey from Gulf-Stitch wheels to this fabulous look set of FAB Design wheels. The struggle of getting original parts for this 2001 crafted Bavarian 3 series along with the financial of a college student who’s also a member of E46 Indonesia Club.
He bought this piece of chubby, aerodynamical lines and smooth early 2000s whip three years ago. Well, all we can say is that this ride got a tough engine, it went through 2.5ft of flood within half a mile range and all he got to replace was the front light bulb. From trim-to-trim, cleanliness is the entire key to the interior.
We’d like to thank him for being one of our huge supporters out there, I have known him since the time of high school.
What’s coming next year? Well, quoted from the man, “Soon you'll see it. It's a secret.”

Meinschaft AutoFahren
If you are mentally and spiritually ready to destroy your car and have fun doing it, then you just might qualify as a member of Meinschaft Autofahren, which literary means automotive enthusiasts community in German.
Established in April 2010, Meinschaft Autofahren is a community that starts with mutual interest in car modification, drifting and just hanging with the boys on Friday night. “The most important things are having fun with one goal, sharing knowledge, learning, and gaining new information on the automotive world,” said Adit Kodok, the leader of the club.
One of the early accomplishments of the club was being recognised for 38 awards out of 150 categories at Banten Auto Show, including the prestigious award as “The King.” From there on, word-of-mouth goes faster than a charged-up Stingray, and the membership grows to 175 in Indonesia and across the world in German, France, England, and America.
In the near future, Autofahren is planning to revive its status through automotive events and contests since they have been keeping it low pro during 2014, so look forward to more Autofahren in the town near you.

ModSlide 2014 - Part 2
The thrill started to pick-up in the afternoon when rain pours heavily, and soaked all the rides, participants, observers, swimmers, drifters and babes. But that was just another perfect reason to get the girls in their bikinis and party as planned.
When the rain stopped, its time to wipe off the rides, while the DJ turn-on the music and photography session continues, as well as drifting and burnout show. Stay tuned for more.

Adit's Crown
When The King Rolls Down the Street He Wears His Crown With Pride
Overheat got to spend some time with Adit Kodok, the proud owner of the Toyota Crown Athlete 2005, at his castle in BSD a few weeks ago as we shoot the video teaser for the Mudslide event.
This photo session was spontaneous, because we didn’t know that his Crown was one of the cars to be featured for the video. We were eyeing this Crown since the Auto Festival at Summarecon Mal in Bekasi. Luckily, Adit contacted us not long after the event to have his car featured on our website, but we haven’t set the date since we were saving the best for last. However, fate brought us together that day at BSD.
Adit bought his Crown at an auction in a standard condition. Being a car enthusiast since young age, he enjoys the full comfort of the Crown, which can be used on a daily basis, such as cruising on the highway at night, racing with friends, and going to work. Another reason he chooses this car is because it is rare on the streets of Jakarta.
Adit remains low profile in revealing his specs. Despite the standard V6 Engine and RWD, DPE Wheel CST10 Et 32-30 width 8.5 10.5, Ducktail and Roof Spoiler from Silkblaze Japan, Athlete Grill from Japan, as well as Eibach Spring and shock, he claims that his car is nothing special.
As the owner of Maze Body Repair, the leader of Autofahren, and a member of VIP Car Indonesia, Adit stated that being a car guy is not just about making your car low or loud. It is all about the experience that you get from modifying your ride to make it comfortable.
