Little Person
-ˋˏ *.·:·.⟐.·:·.* ˎˊ-
lo'ak sully x metkayina (slightly autistic coded) male reader
warnings; nothing severe- mention of insecurity/not fitting in, sorta mental health mentions but in a gay way
summary; "One person in a sea // Of many little people"
no use of y/n
lyric inspired (Little Person by Matt Maltese), color thingy used?? {please tell me if the color idea is good or not}
I'm just a little person

Lo'ak sat on the shore as the village settled down for the night. Him and his family had been there for a little while, so he found out that the ocean looked beautiful at night. The boy that soon walked past, however, made the ocean seem like another plain thing. You were beautiful, even if you didn't look all that unique. Lo'ak watched as you sat on one of the bouncy, netted pathways and dipped your feet in the water. As much as he wanted to say hello, to try to make a friend, he didn't think he should. He was already seen as a freak- demon blood- what would happen if he humiliated himself?
One person in a sea
Of many little people

He thought about it for a few moments; even if he did somehow embarrass himself, it's not like he'd see you that often. There are a ton of Metkayina in the clan, what would it hurt? Lo'ak slowly approached you, trying his hardest to not seem like a nervous mess, because he had no reason to be. "Hey." he finally forced the words out as he stood in front of you. You looked down at the stranger just as the eclipse started and the ocean began to glow. "Hi." you stopped kicking your feet in the water and scooted over, silently inviting him to sit beside you. There was a long silence as you two look at one another, staring as if the other is a rare specimen. After a while you broke the silence, "You're Lo'ak, right? From the forest?" He nodded.
I do my little job
Live my little life
Eat my little meals
Miss my little kid and wife

You and Lo'ak continued to talk for a few days, becoming decent friends. It was nothing exciting, life went on as usual, but it wasn't boring either. He was a nice addition, he made things fun. You never planned on making any more friends; your social group was already enough for your standards. You weren't very out going, but you couldn't really remember if you were born like that or if that's how you ended up as you grew older. Either way, you were okay with it. Your simple life was alright, it was better than being miserable, so that meant it was good, right?
And somewhere, maybe someday
Maybe somewhere far away

Lo'ak had been deeply upset by the sudden uprooting of his life, literally moving continents one random day. He knew it was what needed to be done, but that didn't mean it wasn't painful. It was more than just moving away from everything he'd ever known; it was the fact that he had to because of what happened before he was born. He felt like he was born into this fate- like he'd always be a part of his parents past war - and it was true. He faced the consequences of the things before him, but you made it better. You made almost everything okay, and you didn't even try. You were funny, you made him laugh, you knew what to do to help. You were one of the few people who understood what it felt like to not want to acknowledge an issue, to distract yourself instead, and you helped him do that. Even though he had to travel far, far away from his home, you made it worth it. In a way, he left home to find a better one with you. You made any place feel like home.
I'll find a second little person

That pathway by the ocean had become your spot. Whenever you two needed something, you'd go there at night. It was a safe spot, it was where you had your deepest conversations. It was where you'd met, where you'd gone from strangers to friends. Lo'ak decided that this would also be the place you went from friends to something more. He accepted how he felt, because there was no way a friend would make him feel like this. He sat patiently waiting for you, ears perking when he finally heard you. You sat gently beside him, letting him start the conversation. "I think... I think we need to talk." he muttered after a while, looking down at the glowing ocean. "What's up?" you sounded calm, but really, you were terrified. Losing him would be the worst thing to happen, especially with all the war. You two needed each other, and that need was so strong that not having him would genuinely be unhealthy for you.
Who will look at me and say
"I know you
You're the one I've waited for
Let's have some fun."
꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷
Lo'ak took a deep breath, held it, and let it out. His voice was almost shaky as he spoke, "I think there's something more than a friendship between us." Although his words were literally meant to be a confession, your heart dropped. You'd never really opened up like you were about to, but the words almost spilled out. "Lo'ak, I think there's something wrong with me. I don't think I'm the way I should be." you didn't look at him as you spoke, instead you watched the stars. Lo'ak didn't speak for a minute, so you continued. "I'm not like the others. I don't mean that in a fun way, I mean I really don't fit in, and I can't. I'm weird, I'm quiet, I don't talk to people, I don't get them, and they don't get me." maybe this was your way of confessing. Maybe your fear of being different was so deep, that it would be a part of your biggest confession. "Maybe that's why I feel the way I do. Because you get me, Lo'ak. Maybe... maybe I like you the way I'm supposed to like a girl." the familiar silence settled between the two of you again, but this time it was different. Lo'ak finally spoke up, his eyes fixed on the shimmering water ahead. "I'd rather not fit in than pretend I don't feel the way I do. I... I don't think I care what the others think, I like you like I should like a girl." It was almost impulsive, but you hugged him. You hated hugs, they were always so forced, but it wasn't like that. He hugged you back, and there seemed to be some level of relief shared between you two. Such a relief, a calming effect, that you fell asleep right there in your favorite place.
We'll take a road trip way out west
You're the one I like the best
I'm glad I found you
I like hanging around you
꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷
Things didn't change much for you two, besides the occasional kiss and label as boyfriend instead of friend. You weren't bothered, though. The fact that you didn't act differently was actually comforting, it meant your connection was so deep that it didn't matter what you labeled it as, it didn't need a label. The idea was cute, though. As much as you didn't want to admit it, the dates Lo'ak would drag you to were cute. If anything; Lo'ak calling you his boyfriend made you want to become his husband. Even if you couldn't have children, it didn't matter. You loved one another so deeply that it was impossible to convince yourselves otherwise, and that made everything you had to go through better.
(I'm sorry for not writing for literal months; I've been so busy with moving and school and my surgery and school and moving and and and)

lo'ak x transm!avatar!reader
summary; little gay guys w five fingers and top surgery scars 😇
extra info; y/n became an avatar in the same way jake did, but his top surgery scars are still visible. don't ask about the science or how this makes sense it just does.
lo'ak sat in a tree with tuk, bored out of his mind like he usually was. he was grounded from flying, again, and neteyam was busy talking with someone. tuk could only entertain her older brother for so long- it was hard finding things a child and teenage boy had in common. "i don't know anyone besides my dad who did that-" neteyam could be heard below the two. lo'ak kicked a branch down, hoping it would hit his brother. "damnit lo'ak!" his brother yelled as the tree started shaking. "fuck- go!" he pushed his little sister forward, encouraging her to run. neteyam was strong enough to beat lo'ak pretty bad, and he wasn't in the mood for that. tuk got farther ahead of him, leaving him to be sacrificed. the boy heard giggling before he was swept out of the tree, holding onto something for dear life. "oh jesus fucking-" he panicked, grabbing whatever was carrying him tighter. "neteyam~! i got him!" he looked up to see a face he hadn't before, sporty a toothy smile like he'd just caught dinner for his family. lo'ak started hissing, completely forgetting about his angry brother who was charging at him like a rhino. in the blink of an eye he was on his back being tossed back and forth. "was it worth it? knocking me out with that stick?" his brother asked, holding him from falling out of the tree. "yes-" he was about to make a snarky comment but he was swept up again, this time being gently carried around as the unknown boy flew threw trees. he was dropped on the floor somewhere- he hadn't payed attention. he was more focused on the guy who brought him to his destination. five fingers. like him. and his chest looked all cut up, like he'd been in some battle.
lo'ak pretended none of that happened- mostly because admitting someone effortlessly picked him up and drug him to his home was embarrassing- but also because he didn't know much about said someone. would it be rude to ask you what happened to your chest? or who you were? or why in the fuck you had five fingers? he was silently praying that you weren't in anyway related to him because it would be humiliating having his sibling toss him around like that. "who was that." he almost growled when he and neteyam were sitting together that night. "you mean the guy who tossed you around like a fucking rag doll?" he started laughing, stopping when he got a punch in his arm. "it's a new dude. said he got here the same way dad did or something. talk to dad about it he'd know more." there was no way in hell he was gonna ask his dad about it.
"neteyam~!! good mooorninggg!" the 'new dude' came bursting in to find neteyam, but instead found a tired lo'ak shoving his knees into his face to drown out the noise. "oh. good morning! wheres neteyam?" he came to the side of lo'aks bed. "lo'ak!" he grabbed his arm, shaking him a little. lo'ak groaned, reaching his hand back to push the person off of him, "what..?" he mumbled into his pillow. his wandering hand reached the others hip, which was unexpected to both of them. lo'ak kept sleeping. "fine, you little dick. i'll go find him and tell him you went flying!" y/n shoved lo'aks arm into his bed before walking out, lo'ak springing up. neteyam would believe his friend, and tell their dad. he sprinted out the door, only to find y/n waiting, who broke into a sprint when he saw lo'ak. lo'ak ran after him. the boy was jumping from tree to tree, swinging through vines, way faster than lo'ak. he was just tired, he'd catch up soon. they both stopped when neteyam popped down in front of them, evidently waiting in a tree. "oh jesus fucking christ-" y/n started to fall off of the branch, catching himself on a plant and pulling himself back up. "what made you two think it was a good idea to be so loud this early in the morning? you're lucky nobody woke up!" he whispered, grabbing y/n by the ear.
y/n grabbed neteyam wrist, leaning in so his ear wasn't ripped off. lo'ak laughed at y/ns pained hiss, right before his legs were kicked almost making him fall. neteyam let go of y/n, releasing him to pounce on his brother. y/n pinned lo'aks hands down by his head, "is it really fucking funny?" he was smiling a little, distracted by the blushing boy under him. lo'ak took it as an opportunity to push him off, shoving him into the branches below. "you kiss yet?" neteyam asked, helping lo'ak stand again. "what..?" lo'ak was hoping he had heard wrong. "i said, have you kissed yet? it's obvious you like eachother, even if you won't admit it." neteyam got on his knees to see if the boy was in ear shot. "he can't hear us, so just tell me or i'll tell him." he stood again, pressing a finger to his younger brothers chest playfully. lo'ak slapped his hand away, "fine. i guess i do. he's funny and seems nice so far and he obviously makes you happy, since you're still talking." lo'ak was looking down, wondering if his next question was appropriate. "what's up with his chest?" he looked back to his brother, tilting his head a little. "a surgery. he was born a girl, said he's transgender or something. some crazy shit about getting his chest flattened, he said he used to get bullied for it. i guess i'm just glad he feels safer here." neteyam sat, legs swinging under the branch as lo'ak did the same. "oh, wow.." lo'ak didn't know how to feel about it. it wasn't bad, it was just different. if he actually got serious with him- the 5 fingered trans guy- how would that effect them? he was already considered a freak, would mating with another 5 fingered guy make it worse?
before lo'ak could say anything, his legs were tugged and he flew to the branch below him. he was being held up by his hips as y/n tried to make sure he didn't fall. no words were exchanged before y/n was pulling him down further by the wrist, out of neteyams earshot. y/n stopped, pushed him against the tree and sat in front of him, motioning for him to do the same. "did you mean it?" he wasn't looking at lo'ak, almost as if he was embarrassed. "well, yeah. you're cool. i mean- if you liked me, i'd be okay with it..." lo'ak kept his eyes on y/ns turned head. the shorter boys tail started swaying faster than before, and his ears perked up a little. lo'ak chuckled at his unintentional display of joy. "i guess i wouldn't mind if you liked me, either. as long as you're okay with kissing a trans guy." he looked back to lo'ak, waiting for the rejection he had expected. instead, lo'ak got closer. shifting his gaze from one eye to the next, he smirked, trying to ignore his practically wagging tail. y/n turned towards him on his knees and lo'ak put his hand on his hip, making him tense a little. "you mean we could kiss?" he asked, his face inching closer by the second. y/ns eyes widened as he sat up straighter, his ears against his head as his heart started racing. "if you wanna.." he barely finished his sentence before lo'aks lips were on his, hands on his neck and cheek. y/n slipped his hands to lo'aks neck as lo'ak slipped his hands to y/ns hips. lo'ak pulled him closer, it wasn't a heated makeout or anything like y/n had seen on tv before. it was gentle, smiling into each others lips and pulling the other as close as they could. lo'ak pulled away, watching y/n study his face, head tilted to the side. he looked worried, as if he had done something wrong. "i liked it, relax." the two smiled at each other as lo'ak laid back, y/n resting his head on his chest. they fell asleep, and when neteyam came to check on them he decided to let them be.

Starstruck
lo'ak x male metkayina reader
summary; lo'ak sees y/n almost get his shit rocked and falls in love
word count; 2.6k
warnings; homophobia, parent issues, blood, violence (hate crimes?), cussing and little gay dudes
╭── ⋅ ⋅ ── ✩ ── ⋅ ⋅ ──╮
lo'ak sat on the beach with his feet resting in the water. he didn't like this place. it wasn't his home and he couldn't pretend it was. "tsahey!! i'm sorry, dude! it was a joke! calm down!" he heard someone yelling and sand shuffling. before he even turned around he heard a punch land. it wasn't too hard, but it definitely hurt whoever received it. he heard someone spit, get hit again, and suddenly the yelling was much closer. he turned around to see one smaller boy- probably around 7'5- being beat by two bigger guys. "so was it not funny?" he chuckled as he tried to scoot back. lo'ak didn't know if he should help or not. getting in a fight wouldn't be the best thing for him right now. one of the taller boys got closer, but the one on the floor tripped him and tried to run. the other grabbed him while his buddy stood up. "skxawng! y/n, you're fucked!" he was about to throw a punch. y/n kicked the man who was holding him in the knee, causing him to be dropped onto the sand. the other boy punched his friend on accident giving y/n enough time to grab the one who had yelled at him by the tail and kick his ankles. both boys were on the ground in minuted, leaving lo'ak to believe his wasn't needed. "fuckers!" y/n kicked sand on the two before he ran off to another section of the beach, struggling to climb over some rocks. it made lo'ak chuckle. this boy just took down two kids twice his size but can't get over some rocks. he walked over and picked him up, gently setting him on the other side and then jumping over himself. "thanks.." y/n was quiet, which was unexpected since he just did what he did. "no problem. what were they so pissed about? i thought they were about to kill you." lo'ak crouched slightly to look closer at the boys face, his nose was bloody and there was a little blood around his lips. he had a bigger bruise forming on his shoulder, lo'ak turned him slightly to get a better look. "i made a joke- i swear it was a joke- about something. they thought i wanted their girlfriends because apparently i was staring and i said some shit like 'i'd rather have you', it was a lie. they lost it." y/n started trying to wipe the blood off of his face but it'd already dried. "it was a bit dramatic, in my opinion. looks like they almost killed you. what's this mean?" he pointed to the arrow tattoo on his back. "something about struggle and triumph. i just like it because it looks cool, but tsireya insisted it had a meaning. i don't even know how to use a bow and arrow." he was still trying to wipe the blood off. "here," lo'ak crouched down, scooping some water up before putting his hands on y/ns face to wipe off the blood, "i could teach you. maybe you should stay over here for awhile, i don't think you dropping those guys made them any happier." he tried his best to ignore the way y/n was staring into his eyes as he grabbed the shorter boys chin and started to wipe off his cheek. "i would, but i have stuff to do. i don't have food, or any of my supplies. i need to weave baskets and make jewelry." his eyes never left lo'aks. "i can grab you stuff. i'd say lay low for at least two days, even if it isn't the entire day. like come out during the day and switch up where you sleep, ya know?" he dropped his hand from the others chin, rinsing the blood off. "thanks, man."
lo'ak hopped over the tall rocks, the bag on his shoulder almost falling off. "hey, y/n!" he looked down at the boy who was drawing in the sand. he jumped up when he saw lo'ak. "what'd you bring?" he was smiling from ear to ear and standing on his toes, trying to peak in the bag. lo'ak dropped it, letting it all fall out. "some of your basket stuff, jewelry stuff, food and a blanket. i can stay over here, but my siblings might get snoopy." he sat beside y/n as y/n dug through everything. "you have siblings?" he asked, biting into one of the things lo'ak brought. "yeah, three. neteyam is the oldest, but tuk would probably be the one to follow me." y/n seemed so genuinely interested. "i don't have any. my parents don't talk to me much anymore, the made me find my own pod to live in after they found out." he picked up some string and beads and started making a bracelet. "found out what?" he watched as y/ns hands quickly moved to construct whatever he was making. "that i like dudes. they flipped out. they're trying to have another baby because they said they don't want the bloodline to end. i'm a disgrace for being so selfish and refusing to give them grandchildren." he shrugged as if it was nothing. "oh.." lo'ak didn't know how to reply. what if he liked dudes? he thought he might, but girls are cute too. his parents definitely wouldn't react that way, but what if they wanted to meet y/ns parents?
"i... think i might like guys, too. but girls are pretty cute and i've never kissed a guy or anything." he confessed. "wanna change that?" y/n joked, putting his bracelet down for a minute and looking up to smirk at lo'ak. "hey, if you're offering i'm not declining it." he winked, causing the bracelet maker to go quiet. it was obvious he didn't know how to respond after being flirted with, he probably had always been the only flirty one. lo'ak scooted closer in response to the silence. "you can tell me to stop, 'kay?" he waited for any form of consent. y/n nodded, "okay.." he leaned in closer, kissing the corner of y/ns mouth. it was where he had wiped the blood of before. he moved slightly closer with each kiss, eventually getting to his lips. they didn't have a make out session or anything, just a ton of little kisses. y/n was on his back, wrapping his arms around lo'aks neck while lo'ak held himself up with his hands on the sand.
"lo'ak?" neteyam called out from behind the rocks, startling lo'ak and y/n enough to make a small sound. before lo'ak could throw himself off of y/n, neteyam was jumping over the rocks. y/n tried to hurry and get away, but it made them look more suspicious. "woah." neteyam stared at the two, how was he supposed to react to his brother on top of some guy? kiri hopped over the rocks carrying tuk. "dude!" lo'ak flung himself off of y/n to save tuk from seeing them. "oh my god i'm going to vomit!" kiri started gagging and tuk hopped out of her arms to meet y/n. "listen guys, it isn't what it looks like. we were wrestling and he was loosing." neteyam started chuckling and kiri watched tuk. "oh yeah? his arms were around your neck. what's that move called?" neteyam stepped slightly closer. "uh- y/n? what's that move called?" he looked back, but the boy he had been kissing was too busy drawing in the sand with his little sister, both of them crouched in front of their art. "hm?" he looked up, not bothering to help lo'ak defend himself. "lo'ak. you're lips were touching. a lot. i don't think you were wrestling." neteyam started punching him in the arm. "but good for you, dude!" he walked over to y/n to investigate. y/n didn't stand up, still focused on the art. "you do realize you have to introduce us, right? and mom and dad." he walked back over to the rocks. "i'll let you do it later, but it's your turn to watch tuk."
"lo'ak, am i your boyfriend?" y/n was now playing in the shallow water with tuk. "i mean- it's only been a few days. if you want to be, you are. no pressure." he kicked a little water at y/n. "well then, i'm your boyfriend. you're mine. when can i meet your parents?" tuk was now on y/ns back, trying to climb up to his shoulders. "tonight, if you wanna." he smiled as tuk started pulling on y/ns braids to guide him where she wanted to be carried. "alright. i don't know if those guys are still mad, though."
y/n and lo'ak were getting themselves ready to go to the family meeting. they hopped back over the rocks, lo'ak once again helping y/n, for the first time in a few days. lo'aks parents were back in their pod, and lo'ak led y/n up the netted pathways into their home. "hey." lo'ak said as he turned the corner sharply, still holding y/ns hand. y/n was about to pull away when he realized lo'aks family didn't care. he was really shy about touching in public. he didn't want lo'ak to get hurt like he was. "hi!" tuk ran over to y/n and hugged him. neytiri smiled, y/n being good with tuk was a really good sign to her.
when they were all sat down, lo'aks parents started introducing themselves. y/n was really intimidated by jake, simply because he was so much bigger. if he reacted the same way y/ns parents did, he'd be dead. "how did you two meet?" neytiri asked, tuk in her lap. "i cleaned him up after a fight. almost got his ass kicked." lo'ak was quick to answer, he wasn't at all ashamed of this. "no i did not! you said i did good!" y/n punched lo'aks arm before realizing that was just a way to get him to talk. "he did do really good, actually. i saw it." neteyam wasn't choosing lo'aks side on purpose. he did see it, he just didn't care too much. "a fight?" jakes voice was slightly deeper and he seemed mad. y/n wanted to run, just to get a head start. "i- uhm.." lo'ak put an arm around his shoulder. "it wasn't his fault. he was defending himself. he did kick their asses, though. they were way taller than me, even neteyam." neytiris eyes narrowed slightly, she didn't fully believe y/n won the fight. "do you have any family?" kiri tried to break the silence. "kinda- well, yes, technically. my parents, but i don't live there anymore." everyone in the room seemed confused. y/n wanted to make a run for it. he was sure jake was about to kill him, neytiri was about to yell, and neteyam was gonna get him later. sneak up on him in his sleep or something.
"y/n!" lo'aks ears pressed flat against his head. it was the same guys who had been fighting him days before, they were still mad about it. "tsahey!" y/n stood up so fast it made lo'ak jump a little. "i'm so sorry." he ran out of the pod to make sure tuk didn't see it. she shouldn't see this. he was gonna get hurt, bad. he knew it. "fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck..." he whispered as he tried to quietly sneak down to his hiding spot. he couldn't see the boys. "i got you, you stupid little fuck!" one of the boys grabbed him from behind, scaring him so much he screamed. "no! i'm sorry!" he tried to claw himself free. "it's too late for that." the one holding him drug him down to the beach, out in the open. he put y/n down, still holding him by the upper arm. the other boy came over and stood there. one of them punched y/n in the stomach, but he wasn't sure which. he looked back to see the entire family had come down to help him. either that, or join in on the killing of him. he couldn't let himself be embarrassed that bad in front of them, he had to prove that he wasn't a weak little pussy like his dad thought. "fuck you!" he tried again to claw himself free, hoping it'd distract them from him turning around. he got punched again, but he managed to kick the man holding him in the stomach, freeing himself. the other tried to grab him, but he ran slightly farther and tried to make him trip over his friend. it didn't work, instead it made the boy catch up to him. y/n tried to run in circles, zigzags, anything to confuse him. it worked, giving y/n enough time to kick the back of his knees. once he was on the ground, he assumed he was okay.
the other boy, who he thought had been on the floor, came up behind him. he held a knife up to his neck and started taking him to the shore, turning away from the sully family. he really thought he was going to die. he truthfully didn't think he'd make it, he had fucked himself this time. he heard someone stomping- sprinting- over, so did his attacker. he dropped the knife slightly to look back, only to see the father of y/ns boyfriend towering over him. "you think tonowari would be happy about this?" he grabbed the boy by the hair, pulling him off of y/n. he took the knife out of his hand and drug him to tonowaris pod, neytiri grabbing the other. lo'ak rushed over to see if y/n was okay, hoping he hadn't been cut. "holy shit, are you good?" he grabbed y/ns chin, just like he had when they first met, to look at his face. his nose was bleeding again, the bruise on his shoulder hadn't gone away, and he was wheezing, probably had some bruised ribs. "i'm fine." y/n tried to look away. he was tearing up. he let himself be humiliating in front of the only people he wanted to impress. when he looked back up, jake and neytiri were there. "fuck. i'm so sorry. i really didn't know they'd come get me like that." y/n wiped his eyes, trying not to cry. "don't apologize, it wasn't your fault." neytiri tried to comfort him, but he was in too much pain to process what she'd said. "i'm so fucking sorry. i didn't want tuk to see that. i didn't want you guys to get involved. i'm sorry-" he was cut off by neytiri hugging him. he was about to burst into tears. his own mother hadn't hugged him since she'd found out. he really did start crying when neytiri let go and jake hugged him. even though it was only for a second, his own father had beat him after finding out. he hadn't been hugged like that for a long time.
the sully family took y/n back to their pod, gave him a blanket, and sat him down on a bed. lo'ak sat beside him and the rest of the family sat on the floor. "why were they so mad?" kiri seemed genuinely confused. "cuz i'm gay." y/n leaned his head on lo'aks shoulder. he accidentally fell asleep almost straight away. "can he sleep here tonight? please?" lo'ak practically begged his parents, and they said yes.
lo'ak turned his boyfriend and covered him up, crawling into bed with him once his parents had left. his boyfriend. he smiled every time he said it. y/n was really well known on the island, even if it wasn't for a good thing. lo'ak considered himself starstruck.

neteyam & lo'ak x male reader headcannons!
╭── ⋅ ⋅ ── ✩ ── ⋅ ⋅ ──╮
neteyam;
he would be one of those guys that always says boyfriend because he thinks its pretty
like he'd introduce you by saying "this is y/n, my boyfriend!" all happy
he would want to take care of you since thats what hes used to
if you take care of him he'd be really awkward at first
he probably would invite tuk to go hang out with you two because he loved that you guys got along
lo'ak would starting treating you different, calling you bro and messing with you all the time
neytiri would act like you were another son and jake would try to get you to go on hunts with him and the others to bond
kiri would always make fun of you guys for cuddling and stuff like roll her eyes or gag
he would really like putting his arms around you, holding your hand, lifting you up or any physical touch
ESPECIALLY in public
if you got hurt he wouldn't leave your side, probably sending lo'ak to get things you needed
lo'ak;
he would be really scared of calling you his boyfriend at first, but then he wouldn't stop
if anyone said anything to him about being gay in a negative way he'd get defensive and aggressive but if you were around he would try to ignore it
he wouldn't invite tuk but she'd always tag along anyways
neytiri and jake would be very loving, like they would with any of their childrens partners
neteyam and kiri would always try to embarrass lo'ak in front of you, tell embarrassing childhood stories or scare him
lo'ak really likes playing with your tail and hair if your talking to someone or busy
he isn't too possessive and he would just laugh if a girl asked you out, if it were a guy he'd probably try to seem all big and tough
if you got hurt he'd make tuk get you thing while he sat with you
sorry for not posting, im working on a couple longer fics and ive been sick but i hope this is enough to satisfy my many fans while i work on pleasing the kingdom 🙏🏻🙏🏻

where is my mind?

lo'ak x make metkayina reader
warnings; none. fluff tats ans fish.
way out in the water, see it swimmin'
════ ⋆★⋆ ════
lo'ak was aching and tired from traveling for so long. his spine felt like it needed taken out and snapped like a whip to make it feel normal again, and his hip felt like they needed taken out and sculpted back into their normal shape. his father was talking with the chief of wherever they were, and he honestly just wanted to go to bed. his intense pain was eased when he saw something swimming around out in the ocean. a boy on an ilu was simply doing tricks to entertain himself, but it was the most interesting thing lo'ak had seen in days. the boy would jump into the air with his ilu, dive into the water, and try to resurface with his ilu sliding under him. he looked like he was practicing. the boy said something to the creature, which lo'ak couldn't exactly hear, before climbing out of the water and tossing it some food. when the boy got closer lo'ak could see the three stars tattooed on his right hip, it seemed like everyone here had tattoos if they were older then tuk. he needed to stop staring at that boy before someone got the wrong idea..
i was swimmin' in the carribean, animals were hiding behind the rocks
*.·:·.✧ ✦ ✧.·:·.**.·:·.✧ ✦ ✧.·:·.*
when his father and the chief were done with their boring conversation, lo'ak set up his area in their new- temporary- home as quickly as he could. as soon as he was done he dove off the netted walkways into the ocean, scaring every unsuspecting animal near, including the captivating young man. "oh- hi! i'm y/n," the boy paused waiting for lo'aks reply, but lo'ak was too amazed by his voice to process anything. "ah- i'm.. uh.. i'm lo'ak, nice to meet you!" he smiled a little too wide, flashing his fangs and making his tail sway back and forth fast enough to cause a commotion in the water behind him. y/n giggled at his awkwardness before going back to training.
except the little fish, bumped into me
* . °•★|•°∵ °•|☆•° . *
lo'ak had gone back to minding his own business, looking at all the creatures underwater. he felt something nudge his inner thigh and looked down to see a familiar ilu. this confused him more then it should've, was it an accident or did y/n send it? he watched as the ilu swam back to y/n and said boy winked, diving deeper into the water and swimming away before lo'ak good understand what was happening. when he did, he had to go back up for air so he didn't start choking.
i swear he was trying to talk to me, koi koi
•❅───✧❅✦❅✧───❅•
when lo'ak saw y/n above water again, he decided to ask him about it. he approached the boy who was laying in the sand with his eyes closed, trying to keep his mind off of how beautifully his hair fell to the sides of his face and how his nose twitched every once in a while. "hey.. y/n?" he sat beside him as the boy opened his eyes. "oh! hey lo'ak!" he sat up, too. "did you- why- fuck. your ilu came over and... got all up on me earlier i guess. just in case that's a training thing i wanted to let you know." he was avoiding eye contact because he could already tell his cheeks were turning a darker shade of blue. "i know. it was on purpose," y/n giggled, trying to catch lo'aks eye, "how else was i supposed to get your attention? you were so interested in those fish- you looked really cute, by the way." lo'aks heart was beating a million times faster and his mind was back on the boys face. he looked at him again, making eye contact with those icy eyes. "you're... you're cute too!" he practically yelled trying to push the words out.
where is my mind?
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
"y/n!" someone was calling him. "oh- i better run. see you later, forest boy." he grabbed lo'aks chin because he was still turning his face away and kissed the corner of his mouth before winking again and running off. lo'ak was shocked, again. in the singular day he'd been there this boy has made his brain stop and his heart flutter at least 5 times. he wanted more. he wanted to stay. y/n was one of the only good things about not being home, and he didn't care that he wasn't where he belonged anymore because y/n felt like home.

can we get a pt.2 of aurora eyes where Neteyam brings y/n to meet his parents and the rest of his siblings as his mate and not the chiefs son?
aurora eyes
╚══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╝
pt. 2
warnings; just fluff and family stuff.
pt 1 ˏˋ°•*⁀➷
y/n and neteyam finally became official. they were already boyfriends, but now they were mated. they were walking back to their pods, hand in hand, like any other couple does after being united like that. lo'ak came down the pathway, "all giggly with the chiefs kid?" he teased. "all giggly with my mate." neteyam snapped back. they had to tell their families, and it would be easier to do it all together. they sent lo'ak to retrieve everyone and waited back where they used to train.
y/n had never been more scared in his life. not of his parents or neteyams, but of ao'nung. he was terrified. the families came marching through the sand, sending both boys pulses into the sky. neteyam would be the one declaring it, since y/n was so deeply afraid of what ao'nung would say. "we've known each other for a while now, and we've finally decided what to do. we're mates." y/n didn't make eye contact with anyone. he felt himself be picked up, and he was about to kick his legs and scratch himself free assuming ao'nung was about to throw him. it was neytiri. she didn't say anything, just hugged him. "thank you, great mother. i couldn't bear to watch them swoon in secret anymore." tsireya smiled at them, which reminded y/n of ao'nung. he wasn't speaking. he was staring at neteyam. neytiri put y/n down, his moment of personal space was short lived as tuk ran over and hugged his leg. y/ns mother gave neteyam a small hug and kissed his forehead.
ao'nung approached the two, putting them both on edge and causing lo'ak to step closer to tuk. "i'm happy for you, and i'm sorry." he hugged y/n and that was it. y/ns family left. "oh god are you guys gonna get your own pod? i want my own pod! that isn't fair!" lo'ak immediately started annoying neteyam again. he punched y/n in the arm.
y/n was part of their family now. their families were joined and so were their souls. "aurora eyes.." neteyam whispered, kissing the top of his mates head as his family went to bed.
that was it. they were together. they were meant for each other in every way someone can be meant for another. they were together.
(sorry if this is shitty)
