Mmmh this reminded me of Phoenix writing letters to Miles when a lot of newspapers started calling him “the Demon Prosecutor”.

This sounds like Miles in Farewell, My Turnabout right? (Also, that smile)

- for no. 4, ayame definitely has a thing for men, he’s a walking gay stereotype! plus, he’s said that he’s a bottom and the terms ‘top’ and ‘bottom’ are only used in same-sex relationships, mainly sex between two men rather than two women. in the flashback to when he was student council president, he told everyone to direct their lust toward him and continued to say “since these acts will be between men, there’s no cause for fear!”, or something along those lines. 

- for no. 3, haru’s said his first love was yuki and been suggestive toward him, he is bisexual because all the thing’s he’s said are definitely not platonic. 

- for no. 2, that would make mitsuru pansexual, not caring about gender.

The canonical queer characters of Fruits Basket

There aren’t many. I mean, there is a mountain of characters that don’t conform to gender roles, but that doesn’t make a person queer.

So, in increasing order of canonicity:

7. Saki Hanajima. Clearly loves Tohru, but whether that love is more than platonic is never explicitly stated.

6. Ritsu Sohma. It’s unclear whether Ritsu is a cross-dresser, or a closeted trans woman. In any case, Ritsu never argues with anyone calling them a man, but that is consistent with being closeted.

5. Makoto Takei. Implied that he may be gay for Yuki, but may be more of a creepy obsessive. Not the best representation.

4. Ayame Sohma. Very likely bi, although his flashback about giving himself equally to both boys and girls may have simply been him being particularly Extra.

3. Hatsuharu Sohma. Probably bi, depending on whether you accept his declarations of love as more than platonic. The problem is, he’s usually so passive, it’s hard to tell.

2. Mitsuru. Shigure’s editor. Definitely bi. She is dating Ritsu even though she doesn’t know Ritsu’s gender.

1. Akito Sohma. It’s arguable that, at the end of the series, Akito is a trans woman: she was literally assigned male at birth, and did not accept being a woman until adulthood. Alternatively, Akito could be described as a trans man but not of their own choice.

So, tell me what I got wrong.

i saw someone on tiktok say that squid game should come out with more seasons but each of them should be AU’s, like season 2 where;

- sang woo tries to get ali’s marbles but ali does some uno reverse shit and sang woo looses instead

- or where ji yeong and sae byeok don’t team up for the marble game or somehow manage to tie and not die and keep playing

- or where gi hun becomes one of the red suit shape staff members instead of the players..

i’m just saying that it’s an AWESOME idea.
