Hello guys,
I have been making a social media detox for a while now, so by chance I came across *No scroll app* The app is really magnificent for me as I always have the problem of scrolling in reels and shorts endlessly and I really wished that there would be an app like this app which blocks or limits watching short videos.
I always read about the fact that short videos decrease our attention span and I noticed that a lot in me when I read books or study or whatever It became harder for me to focus because my mind just got used to short videos or short pieces of information so things that required a lot of focusing time were just a dream for me lol 😂😂
So just follow the link above and try the app and I promise You will never regret this
Also, I'm so in love with the about section because it really described what I was running through before using it, endless hours of scrolling in non sense content and pranks and lots of stuff
Like I think even if the content is good but when it is a short video my mind gets addicted to that easy dopamine rush feeling that I achieved something but tbh I am just scrolling in bed 😅😅

Hey, stop scrolling for a moment. Come sit down with me in the garden. I’ve set up a picnic blanket for us, I’ll get us some lemonade or some ice cream, there are strawberries growing if you want to pick some. The sky is so blue today, there are no clouds at all. The sun is warm and the birds are singing. There is peace here in this moment, nothing bad could ever happen here. So, let’s just sit for a while. We don’t have to talk, but if you need to then I’m right here. Don’t worry, nothing said here goes beyond the garden gate. Here we can pass the time of day, nothing else matters right now. You’re safe here, darling. Everything will be okay. Stay as long as you like and you can always come back.

Why are friends valued so little?
When you lose a friend, for one reason or another, you’re just expected to move on. When you lose a romantic partner it’s tragic, and everyone will try to comfort you.
If your best friend had to move away, people just say, “it’s the modern day; just text and call them, you can even video call them. It’s not a big deal.”
If your romantic partner had to move away people say, “oh, that’s so sad, long distance relationships can be tough, it’s so hard not to be with them.”
If you break up with your best friend people say, “well, you know how it is, some people just don’t get along with each other.”
If you break up with your romantic partner people say, “I’m so sorry, I know how much you liked them, take all the time you need to heal.”
Why is it acceptable to put a romantic partner above your friend? What is there about that relationship that is so great?

“I still love books. Nothing a computer can do can compare to a book. You can’t really put a book on the Internet. Three companies have offered to put books by me on the Net, and I said, ‘If you can make something that has a nice jacket, nice paper with that nice smell, then we’ll talk.’ All the computer can give you is a manuscript. People don’t want to read manuscripts. They want to read books. Books smell good. They look good. You can press it to your bosom. You can carry it in your pocket.”

Yesterday was an epic day we went to the beach with waterproof cases to photograph under the water and OMG how we were living without it 🥹🥹
Since I started watching fish through goggles it changed the whole game for me 😂😂
Honestly, I underestimated life's awesomeness
I loved saying hi to all the fishes I met
Also, some of them looked hilarious
I'm looking forward to drawing all of them

And after that for the night we went to a place called Old Market
I loved the vibes of the place and the mosque's architecture
I'm looking forward to more days like these

17 free and helpful things, that everyone can take advantage of
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library They send an age appropriate book once a month if you have a child younger than 5.
Project Gutenberg Lots of free classic books.
Library Genesis A great place to look for and download college/university textbooks for free, as well as other books.
Scihub Endless Free college books. (and peer-reviewed scientific publications that are otherwise hidden behind a paywall)
Khan Academy Free knowledge that you can use to clep out of university courses, or to simply invest your time in a worthwhile topic.
Openlearn UK’s Open University - free courses for all levels of study, samples of university materials, study skills and tie-ins to BBC documentaries. Everything under Creative Commons licence so you can use it as you see fit.
Duolingo The Green Owl of Languages. There are a few hundred that it teaches and the mobile app makes it easy to do anywhere while waiting (!warning! only good for Spanish, German, French, Dutch, Esperanto, and English. with anything else it gets very low-quality and short.).
Codecademy An awesome site to learn how to use some programming languages. Doesn't get into the really advanced stuff, but it's good for a start.
Photopea Completely free Photoshop clone that has all the basic features of Photoshop, using basically the same interface.
Gimp Another free version of Photoshop.
Unsplash Stock of free photos of just about anything, provided by the photographers themselves, to do with what you like.
Futureme You can write letters to yourself (or other people) in the future! You can also make notifications and reminders of a +doctors appointments or anything else important.
Heavens Above You can look up all the satellites flying over your house tonight, including the ISS, Hubble Space Telescope, those pesky Starlink satellites, and whatever else your heart desires, complete with star maps and precise timing. And there is an Android app, but unfortunately no iOS one last I checked. (For iOS you can use “Sputnik!” which is free and tells, when ISS and Hubble passes overhead.)
Night Sky Other astronomy app for iOS. If you hold your phone to the sky the app tells you what you're looking at (or point it at the ground for a view from the other side of the planet). Zoom in with two fingers and tons of deep space stuff is revealed.
Freecycle its literally people giving away stuff they don't need/want any more that they can't/don't care enough to sell.
Nexus Mods Has thousands of video game mods (for 1,509 PC games), made by independent content creators, available to download at no cost.
Archive The Archive aka Internet Archive is a non-profit library of millions of free books, movies, software, music, websites, and so much more... For example a lot of DOS games (classics like Prince of Persia, Oregon Trail, DOOM, Monkey island, Rayman, Turtles), directly playable through the browser.

Good morning, loves. Happy Monday. I hope this week is kind to you. Know that it’s never too late to make a start, or to start again. Starting is the hardest part. You’ll get to where you’re going, just hang in there, even if you end up on a different road to the one you thought you’d be on. Everything happens as it should. Remember that you are loved. You are not alone. You matter. This world is a much better place with you in it. Everything will be okay. Take care of yourselves and I wish you all the best xxx
