Fuck. That......that was Fucking amazing. I don't give 5 stars easily but this book was beyond perfect. Fourth Wing feels like a hug wrapped in a fuzzy blanket by the fire with hot cocoa and marshmellows. Damn was this book ever good. People may say it lacks character development but those people are wrong. They don't see that its rich with character development right from the start. Character development doesn't have to be in your face detail. No instead in Fourth Wing it is subtle and quiet yet you feel you know the characters as a whole.
I fucking cried near the and and I literally screamed NO WAY at the end in the dead of night. I am sure my neighbors think I was crazy at that time of night. This book was so good and I am so invested that I instantly bought Iron Flame right after. How fitting to finish this on the same day as the Book 3 news.

Holy shit wow. I was not expecting this to be so morbidly dark. There was no light until the very end of this tunnel. Just when you think things couldn't get worse they did. I found I was on the edge of my seat wanting more with this book. I even stayed up to midnight while being completely exhausted because I wanted to know how it ended. To believe this is a series is hard as closed so well. I just hope the rest of the series is just as good as this first book.

Beautifully written memior, Matty. Beautifully written masterpiece. An eye opener to those with addiction and their battles. This story is raw and it is heavy but the meaning behind it, the deep meaning of life and having something worth fighting for is ever so present. It's like a giant neon sign. I have heard many say they have laughed and cried while reading this book. I didn't find it all that funny as the subject is no laughing matter. In fact I found myself crying more and putting the book down with a very audible WOAH escaping my lips. This is a very good insight on how someone with addiction may react and act around people. How they think and what may cause them to turn towards addiction. The book is purposely written like a scatter brain I felt as your brain doesn't think clearly or in a straight line when with addiction or alcohol. Matthew Perry did a great job in writing his story, in helping the reader connect with him, and he will be greatly missed.

Wow what a wonderful book. I didn't nearly expect this when I picked this up at my local library. Not even close. I was looking for a western genre type of book and this book was one of the harder ones to find. I lucked out that my Library had it on their shelf.
Now this is not your typical western. It doesnt have Outlaws but it has murder. It has betrayal. More importantly it shows the courage and the strength to overcome one's wrongdoing and differences to pull together with one another to survive amongst the land. This doesn't just follow young love, it follows two families uniting as one. It follows two young women, one who lost her husband to the other woman's husband who murdered him. The other woman losing her husband to prison for 2 years for his murder deed. The two women bringing their family together under hardship so that both will survive the winters alone and not starve themselves or their children to death. Being neighborly even though your neighbor had sinned and done you wrong.
It has a bit of wonder and magic of living on a prairie. On living on a land so vast and isolated that it can be suffocating if one is not used to it. How the grass the clouds the trees and the wildlife are your form of society even if you don't see it.
Truly an amazing book. I was captivated to the very end. I cried. I laughed. I got rightfully angry even at some points. Brilliantly written Olivia Hawker.

I have this book, got it from a used book store for cheap and glad I did because physically I could not bring myself to read it so I found an audiobook to read it. I finished it in a day. The story is so well written, written in a way of a diary. I am sad that Jasmine didn't fall in love with Matt with all the time she spent with him, knowing him, where before she hated him. Taking a year to get to know him and you can tell she starts to change her views about him and softens to him. A love hate relationship kinda. She always talks about Matt as you. An obsession she cannot let go of it, growing as a person from who she was and changing as she faces all these challenges. But ti fall in love with Monday? Are you effing kidding me. Matt was perfect for Jasmine as he understood her and yes he pushed her buttons but he had many soft moments with her. Caring for her. Becoming such a good friend.

I have completed my book review on goodreads about The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
Careful. Read at own risk as from here on it consists of spoilers.
My gosh was this ever a hard book to even get into. I literally had to force myself to read it to see if it got any better and luckily it did but unfortunately not until 100+ pages in and that disappointed me. I am glad that once I got into it, I couldn't put it down and I believe some areas can be shrunk or excluded entirely as I found them not important to the storyline or distracting.
I felt like I was Sherlock Holmes trying to figure out the mystery before the characters solved it. I was pleasantly surprised by the twist of events in the story as things unfolded and was mildly surprised on who was the culprit. Although I feel it would have been better if it was one of the women from the family instead of Harriets own father. I mean her father makes sense to but Stieg brings you on this journey where you think it is Cecilia or Herald or even Henrik himself in the end. All three of these people would have also been great substitutes as a murder instead of Martin. Heck even Martin's mother would have been a great fitting explanation as they talk on how crappy of a mother she was as she was blind to the criminal activity in her household.
I grew attached to Salander. I seriously was able to relate to her in many ways and I felt like I should protect her. When I read the wrong-doings done to her, I was disgusted to the point I couldn't continue reading. They were just so graphic. I don't like how Stieg writes her as if she is some simple minded, aggressive, idiot because she is exactly the opposite. She is closed off because of how the system has treated her when she was young. Her trust in people has been shot down so many times that it is riddled with holes that are next to impossible to repair. Only Mikael was able to really start mending her back together because he helped understand who she is, he helped her understand her mind where everyone else called her a freak. He called her a genius because she has a photographic memory, a memory billions would kill for and to not think of it as a curse but as a great gift. He looked at her as human being and didn't press her on her personal life. He left her alone when she wanted to be alone. In a way her understood her better than anyone which made her drop her guard and start trusting him. It made me upset that at the end of the book when she was going over to his place to give him a surprise christmas gift, that Mikael walks out of the bar with Erika, his close friend and occasional lover. I was able to feel the betrayal and the hurt that Salandar felt and I just wanted to hug her. Truly remarkable writing. Highly recommend.

It is late at night as I write this review but I feel I have to write it now before I forget what I want to say.
Firstly, thank you to everyone who recommended that I try this series. I was in a mood for a Mission Impossible type of book and the Will Robie series was recommended alot. I thoroughly enjoyed this book to the point I couldn't put it down. I am in the process of getting the other books now to the series so I can continue reading it as I really did enjoy it. The story had a full Mission Impossible 3 type of feel to it and it made me happy as that is my favorite Mission Impossible of the series. What I enjoyed was that it was all domestic, how politics is literally everywhere and in everything and it can be messy. Messy dark, and messy aftermath. I loved that the book was a little predictable in sense of actions but had plot twists and unpredictability with characters that is mild shocking. It left you guessing on who the big baddie was and it actually shocks you in the end as it is not the most predictable character that you would think. I thoroughly enjoy books that leave a little mystery in the adventure until the end.
Secondly, the character development is amazing. Even though this is the 2nd book in the series, you can pick up any book in the series and know the characters. They are so greatly developed that its easy to imagine them, to get a sense of their personalities, to hear their voices in your head and to read their dialog even without the description of the tone because it just feels right with the scene.
Lastly and the one thing I least liked about this book was the writing. Some of the sentence structures were a little poorly written and I had to go over some sentences to understand what David was trying to say. Perhaps its because I have a first edition but regardless, because of this reason, it fell short of 5 stars.
It was a book I couldn't put down, kept me wanting more, kept me holding it in my hands at the edge of my seat, kept me guessing. Just poor sentence structure sometimes. I still highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It was a great adventure and a great ride.

Wow. Just.....wow. I am at a loss for words for this novel. It is what defines what a masterpiece is. This book is flawless in every way where I dont even see room where it can be improved. It is absolutely perfect in every sense of the word. The historical facts are factually correct and she doesn't sugar coat how it was in Nazi Germany for a young girl and for the Jewish. She doesn't hold back and that is what pulled me into the story even more. It is such an interesting and dark time to read about that is full of deep emotional stories and Louise Fein had hit that on the head perfectly with Henry Heinrich and Walter. A love that was always forbidden and would never be in the end. She writes Daughter of The Reich as if it is Hetty's memior of her life and her family but most importantly of her one and true love.....Walter. It tells their story and she captures the moments and the lives well. Not only does she tell a great forbidden love story, but tells a history as well. She doesn't hold back on how it was in Germany, she captures the propaganda and the manipulation of young minds well and the way of thinking and seeing things changed for many people. She captures the fear very well in the citizens of that time but also of the Jewish people of that time. She acknowledges every little piece of World War 2, the bad and the ugly and captures it with great force and such detail that you are living it. Not that you feel that you lived but that you are there and now in that time, seeing everything unfold around you. The imagery in the detail of this book is beyond amazing. You time travel and cross oceans with this read and I dont want to say to much because I do not want to give it away or spoil it for anyone. I'll just say this. This book is alive. It has a soul, memories, emotion, it has life, it has energy. You'll be put on an emotional Rollercoaster and you won't be able to get off until the end. Truly a remarkable read and I could not put this down. It had me coming back to it constantly more than once. This is why it is 5 stars for me and it is a keeper on my shelf. Which is rare.

This is a very well written book on a very sensitive topic. It amazed and surprised me as I was not really knowing what it was about when I got it and didn't know what to expect when I did. A book that is a MeToo book is always sensitive but this one seems to really have touched on how traumatizing it can be to people. I personally never experienced anything like MeToo which I am grateful of but I know what its about and its stories it carries.
This debut novel which comes out later this year is so well written that you are experiencing the story alongside the characters. You don't need to have a personal connection to the topic to still strongly feel the emotions, the trauma, the story that is being told. It is so well written that it touches on how your mind reacts to certain traumas, how it can make you forget to protect you, how you remember things differently than what the truth shows. Reading this book I found myself getting angry with Rachel for going back to her abuser, believing that he truly loves her and always have, that he wasn't part of a a criminal ring that was going on by Henry Taylor. Cheating on her husband who did truly love her and lying to him about her past and herself on what happened. But that is the thing about trauma and the mind and once I continued reading, I saw her puzzling the missing pieces of her mind together and getting that last final piece provided to her by her friends who were with her in the trauma and discovering the missing piece where she blacked out 16 years ago.
When I say this book is well-written I mean its a masterpiece bound by a cover that is sitting on a shelf waiting to be discovered. I am glad to have an ARC of it before it hits the shelves and being able to review it before its release. Definitely recommend but definitely watch for the trigger warning. I can't remember if its mentioned in the beginning of the book but if it isn't I definitely believe there should be.

Fairy Tale - Stephen King (Not Much A Fairy Tale)
Have you ever read a book and the descriptive writing turns you off. Especially for in this example, Stephen King writes about this bridge where Charlie's (Main Character) mom get's hit and killed on much early on in the book and every time Charlie mentions the bridge it is GODDAMN BRIDGE. Every time Stephen King brings it up it is always THAT GODDAMN BRIDGE. Ok King, we get the fucking point but don't have to put it into each sentence and at times, in a couple chapters, in the next couple of pages, 10x on each page. It is a real turn-off from reading and makes the reader lose connection with your story. It is poor story writing but sadly that never improved in this novel at all. 600 pages? Please, could have been done in 300. The extra 300 is a waste of paper in my opinion.
I found this novel, which many described to be one of the best of King yet, to be so slow that I literally put it down for a month and came back to it later and was still able to know what was happening. It is like a poorly written soap opera and its sad to say even those are written better. There is nothing keeping the reader hooked in this story until 400 pages in, when the story is finally reaching the climax, is when it starts to get really faced paced and good. As A King fan, I was truly disappointed in this book. Maybe my expectations were to high, I don't know, but truly I did find the writing to be atrocious and I had hoped it would get better but once I was 200 in, I came to the conclusion it never would.
The gladiator fighting in the novel truly intrigued me and that is when I found the story to really get going is when we finally meet the horrifying Night Soldiers, Living Dead Soldiers, and I loved that the twist is the brother of the royal family that was all presumed dead. That kind of surprised me. Leah, princess in this story, becoming Queen once she helps practically kill her brother to save her world, but not getting Charlie and Charlie not getting the girl, I truly loved.
The one other thing I truly did not like about this novel is that it felt completely plagiarized and lacked any originality. Story building also lacked. That truly made me sad for Stephen King. Hope his next book is better.

Juniper And Thorne
I have seen this on TikTok BookTok recommended by a few people but it was laurens.little.library that got me wanting to read it from hearing her thoughts on the book. She rated it five stars and as her and I are both people who do not rate five stars to any book.
My thoughts are a little bit different. Now I don't know what to expect when I went into reading this book. This was a buddy read with a friend of mine as we both like to read and she always like books to read for a gift for Christmas. So I bought her a copy and myself a copy and this was one enjoyable read to read with a friend. Especially when we are provinces apart.
Now lets dive into my thoughts.
First off, I didn't really know that it was like back in what felt like the 1700 or 1800s. That was they time frame I got from it and it was an interesting take. Oblya is an city that is on hard times. Most of its residents if not all are just only scraping by with barely any rubles that they make. Marlinchen, Rose, and Undine are three witches who live with their father who is the only true and great wizard left in Oblya. Now Marlinchen is the one who tells the story and I have never in my whole bookworm life, related so strongly to a character than Marlinchen. Being abused emotionally and mentally by her father, manipulated by both her sisters and her father to do their bidding, and constantly being called simple-minded and plain faced. Her father, Zimy, explains he bewitched her to be simple-minded and plain faced so that she never attracts the love of any man and will always believe what is said to her so she never leaves. Yet it is Marlinchen who is not simple-minded as they all seem. Who is able to out smart all of them and able to pick-up on the clues and piece them all together.
The love for Sevas helped Marlinchen break free from the spell that her father kept casting across her the whole life. Sevas, who Marlinchen thought was only in love with her with belief it was from Black Magic from herself but turns out to be actual true love.
Now when I say that I was able to relate to Marlinchen, I mean that I was able to feel how she felt. I was angry that she kept going back to her father and her sister after all the hurt they put her through. I won't go much into as I don't want to much of my personal out there but I will say, whenever her sister who she thought loved her, betrayed her or turned cold towards Marlinchen, I know the hurt, betrayal, and the feeling that she is there to just be a tool not to be part of the family. I know that feeling a little to well.
If you want a book that gives you great emotional roller-coaster and a great story then go to your nearest place where all books are sold and get your hands on this book. Visit your local library and find yourself a copy. You would not regret it.

Just the book I needed to get me out of a reading slump. I was gifted this by Jen and by God Jen we have to talk. This is brilliant peace of work. The emotions I had on Corrie's life to try and escape her death day, to live her life to the fullest, had me gripped on the edge of my seat. I could feel her pain, her thoughts, her emotions as if I was her. I was able to visualize it as if it was playing out in front of me. The descriptive narrative of this book makes it easy for the reader to follow the story but to also visualize it. The character building is phenomenal and you really connect with each and every character, even the smallest of ones. It truly was a dystopian piece that I never knew I needed.
I don't want to say to much as I don't want to spoil it. It truly is amazing and I recommend this Dystopian read to anyone and everyone. The only reason I did not rate it 5 stars is I got a sense that kept nagging me that is was similar to Hunger Games in volunteering to take someone's place, and that there was always death. The low end of civilization and a high end. It had a bit of Hunger Games and a little bit of Divergent in a way. 2 amazing series and I am curious where this series is going to go on this dystopian adventure.

I struggled with this classic. Normally I love myself a good Classic Novel but The Call of The Wild I struggled to pick up. There was never a need to read more and to read it physically bored me so I resorted to an audiobook to finish it. I kept telling myself the writing gets better when I knew it didn't. I love books about the Klondike but this one made me wish I never laid eyes on it. I know I am probably pissing many off with my review of saying that this is not a great book. Classic lovers probably squabbling on how I couldn't e joy this artful novel. I just was bored. I did finish but I really was close to making this a Did Not Finish but I pulled myself through painfully.
There is rare times where I say the movie version is 10x better than the book but this is definitely one of those situations. The movie is better.
I found that chapters dragged on in one scene making the reading slow. This is a short book so should be a quick read and all I could find is that it was a struggle to read a sentence. It took me an hour to read 6 pages. How this book is a classic will always boggle my mind because I find other classic books are 20x better than this one is. The writing was poor, the grammar worse, and really, felt like there really wasn't much of a story. Yes Buck yerns for the wild life with freedom. It was most obvious in the first 10 pages but to go on another 100 pages making sure in every sentence the reader understands this......it brings the reader away from the literature.
I definitely suggest never reading this but it is a good pallette cleanser.

I was gifted this awhile back. I was not sure about it at first as its been a very long time since I read fantasy, and Dark Fantasy in that matter. As well, I don't tend to read much with lots if spicy and smut so I was not sure how I was going to like this book.
After a palette cleanser in December, I picked this one up and it was exactly what I needed. Having a fresh palette I was able to enjoy this book in its full potential. The character building is absolutely flawless and you can really connect with it. The world building is tremendous. I was surprised I got this done in 2 weeks but I could not put it down. I kept coming back to the characters, thinking about them, what is going to happen to them, their relationships. I fell in love with Eli and Danae, and they aren't even main characters. I love Raziel and Mauve. Darius was my least favorite but I still loved him alot. Can't wait to see what is next.

I have never cried, laughed, and at times got so angry at a book that I wanted to chuck it against the wall. Glad I didn't chuck it against a wall cause I am sure my neighbors would not have been happy so late at night something hitting their wall.
I got this as a Goodreads Giveaway win and I was so stoked when I heard I won because this one I was looking forward to reading. Debbie Mason does a brilliant job in writing and describing her characters and their location. I was able to visualize the who Highland Falls with ease and felt at home. Bri and Cal I somehow was able to relate to. Throughout the book I never felt like I was the reader but actually felt like Bri and I could feel the guilt she carried, the emotions she had towards Cal, her frustration and anger with her mother, her annoyance with her sister, and the dislike towards Dimitri. You were able to feel all that with all of the characters in this book.
It is one of the most beautifully written books I have ever read and I would be lying if I said it wasn't.
Please run to your nearest library or book store and get your hands on a copy of Ar Home On Marigold Lane especially if you love Hallmark like books that make you laugh, cry, angry, and feel all that mushy inside.
You won't regret it.
