Like the fact that rich people have gotten to the point where they think they can just be like “oh yeah I’m literally trying to kill you” without fear of repercussions is beyond infuriating. They need to know what it feels like to be beaten to death by hammers.

Happy belated Pride. I’ve been wanting to make a proper post for a while (sorry again for my semiannual radio silence), but with all the concerning legislation and animosity surrounding the trans community lately, it’s been very exhausting to mull over it. Pride is supposed to be a time when we celebrate our freedom to be ourselves and feel safe, but it seems to get harder and harder to feel that way as the weeks go on.

I worry for those living in small-minded homes and states, living with the threat of dehumanizing bylaws that strip them of their identities. I worry for the families and individuals whose livelihoods are jeopardized because of how they present themselves. I worry for the trans kids who may grow up feeling like their very existence is abhorrent. That they would fare better as a s—cide statistic than stand fighting for their rights.

We should not have to fight for our happiness, but it’s dismally been rooted in our community since its beginnings. I hope that one day we won’t have to anymore.

I’ve been away for a while, but I feel it’d be best to save that spiel for another post. Just know that I’m still here, and I’ve been wanting to get back for a while. Everybody stay safe
