When you have grown up living in Michigan your whole life, you really learn to appreciate your roots. I have lived all over the state of Michigan. I was raised by strong, independent women and I portray the same qualities. I value family, friendships, empowerment and support. There is so much hate in this world, I wish more would realize how much further we would get by coming together and helping one another. I intend to spread helping hands throughout the world and motivate others to do their part as well. I didnt have the easiest upbringing but I truly believe that God let me live through these struggles so that i can speak up, and start changing this cycle of Kids Left Behind, lost in the system, bouncing from home to home, families with no healthcare, the list goes on. I just pray that we can start helping one another. "When we turn a blind eye to the suffering of others, we grow numb to something important in ourselves..." (Unknown) We dont have many positive role models in this present day and age, man or woman, I just aspire to make a difference and hopefully inspire others to open their eyes and hearts to those around them. I was never what one would call artistic or creative, I've always been a black or white, realistic female. Then Photography came along, I realized I can see beauty in the strangest things. Show me a war-torn city and i guarantee you i can show you beauty and emotion, in what some would call rubble I would find tarnished treasures or maybe an animal's nest left unharmed.. Everything tells a story and that is why Photography is so close to my heart, not only can we save moments of time, we can express emotions, tell a story, make a statement. That is what modeling is all about to me, whether you're advertising or being a part of a project, every picture has meaning. Its all anout perception, nd that related to everything in life I've learned; beauty is so much more than what you see, have faith in yourself, know your worth and bring others up with you along the way. I'm a firm believer in karma, put good out into the world and only good things can follow! I am in this contest because I am strong minded, responsible, focused, and driven. I'm not just doing this for me, I am truly looking to make changes in 2016, to motivate and inspire, to see people come together and help each other! This would be a great way to really help motivate and inspire others. I am confident that i have the grace, knowledge, elegance and poise needed to be considered a great candidate for the next Miss JetSet 2016! No matter what battles you face or how many times you're discouraged just remember we are all one of a kind and we are ALL here for a purpose!
