Name change! Prince Geist -> Patchouli Bard!

Hello everyone! You might've seen me post about this on bluesky/youtube already, but I've done a bit of a name change!

I'm no longer Prince Geist, but Patchouli Bard!

I've been thinking about this for a while, and I believe I've outgrown the name Geist. Perhaps it's poor timing just after the premiere of a new song but frankly, I've learned there's never a good time for change, and that the best time to start being yourself is right now - at any given moment. I've been finding myself more this past year, and it's led me to this direction of a new name and look.

As I said on bluesky, I will be including "previously princegeist" in my descriptions for a while to hopefully reduce confusion as much as possible. There may be some sources I cannot change, however, such as wikis (I see and highly appreciate the ones putting my songs on wikis, and I apologize for the inconvenience I've put you through with my name change </3) as I do not know the first thing about editing wiki pages. Once I have my personal website finished, I hope to have a comprehensive archive of my past identities, songs, etc.

Homicipher Original Song

Coming Feb 7th is my Homicipher original song, Scarlet Rain!

I hope you'll enjoy it, I put a lot of work into it, including mixing several languages and intentionally broken sentences to mimic the fictional language used in Homicipher, as well as painting the whole MV myself. It's a labour of love and Scarletella isn't even my favorite. That honor goes to Mr. Crawling. This red bastard just inspired me LOL

Me and my group (mel / @fuzzytrashbird and aves / @aves-arts) participated in nanoreno for the first time, and managed to pull it off! I couldn't have done it without them. Literally. I was running out of time to finish my art since I was so busy with coding everything, so mel and aves did two of the sprites for me and the changing art style lended itself really well to the vibe of the character so it all worked out lol

So many “how to find free/budget TTRPG art” guides are just like “Pixabay exists” and that’s it. Even with the resources, it’s difficult to actually find usable art, especially if you’re looking for illustrations and not photos, and ESPECIALLY now that you have to wade through AI stuff on a lot of these websites

hello!!

for anyone who may have been keeping up with this long thread, my family (me, my mom, and our three cats) has been living in a hotel/motel room for the last almost 3 months after being kicked out of our last place for two months of rent nonpayment as we couldn't afford the raise in price with my mom's income (i do not have an income).

well, we have a place!!!!!! that we can afford with mom's income!!!!!!

with a small issue. unfortunately, we, of course, do not have funds to move in right now. it's $948.73 to move in on Sept 23rd, or $1,498 for Oct 1st. we cannot currently afford either of these obviously, but we really want to move in asap and get out of this room. i do believe my mom is applying for help with things, but i do not know details at the moment.

of course, we also need the money for a moving truck, and likely people to help us move, given the family that helped us move out of the last place can't help move in, BUT we are more worried about getting the money to pay for the deposit and rent for when we move in.

if anyone has the ability to help us, we will be eternally grateful. i have art commissions open! and will happily draw for you! you can either contact me via dms here to talk, or you can go through my kofi commissions!

i also have a goal set up on kofi for this!
