What is Patchwork Heart?

Patchwork heart is an OC series in very early development (like many many many years off but I’m slowly working on it and hoping to build up some support for once I’m able to create it and hopefully also get experience working with other creators in the meantime)

Sapphire is an amnesiac with strange and alien powers on a quest to find her father when she meets Kim, an optimistic young adventurer with shapeshifting abilities who tends to give a different answer every time you ask where he came from.

The two of them join together to venture across a dangerous fantasy world doing odd jobs hunting monsters to make ends meet.

There’s something lurking in the shadows, something acknowledged only by the brave or foolish… And Sapphire prides herself in being neither. She just needs to find her father, then it’s over. Why worry about something that’s not her problem?

In patchwork heart we will watch our unwilling heros slowly uncover the truth of what’s really going on, as they fight hoards of monsters, demons, dragons and gods, ranging from wacky to terrifying. The story is dark and intended for a mature audience, and contains elements of body, cosmic, supernatural, and psychological horror. Though most episodes will have a lighter tone the series is definitely not for the faint of heart.

That’s of course not to say it’s an overly serious series just one with dark content.

I will be posting a lot of art and concepts for patchwork heart here though avoiding major show spoilers.

It’s been awhile.

I’ve been working hard on character design for the past few months (and also doing a lot of rewrites) and designs have been going through so many iterations so fast that there’s never really been a complete set to post.
