Thai Drama - Knock Out (BL)

Keen (Nice Boripat Jamsat) recently graduated finds himself sinking in the huge debt left by his father after his sudden death. It was rather funny scene but he cared for him when Whumpee inhaled Monoxide gas! (Its one of my favourite series)

Okay so a trope that’s been on my mind (thanks to Episode 7 of The Next Prince) has been when a whumpee is bridal carried and their head is either leaned all the way back, forward or laid against the carrier’s chest.

I’m obsessed with it rn!

The story of identical twin baby boys, Arisue Sei & Amamiya Rin (Ito Hideaki) who were created in the laboratory and got separated at birth. Sei was born with superior physical strength and extremely high IQ despite being a failed project, grew up to be the youngest bio-chemistry scientist in America, enslaved by NeoGenesis. Sei returned to Japan to investigate an unidentified virus outbreak. By a freak of nature, he finds out that he has a twin brother, Rin, who does not possess any superior ability like Sei, entirely opposite of him, is living a normal life. Everyone who are after Sei's genius DNA mistake Rin as him, endangering his safety.

JDrama - Bokutachi Ga Yarimashita

4 High school students Tobio (Kubota Masataka), Maru (Hayama Shono), Isami (Mamiya Shotaro) and 20-year-old Paisen (Konno Hiroki) decide to plant a home-made bomb at the school next door in revenge for Maru’s vicious beating at the hands of delinquent group which Ichihashi (Mackenyu) runs. However, the bomb which was only intended to shock the delinquents, ends up causing a huge explosion that claims many victims and severely burns Ichihashi leaving him as crippled. All the 4 friends try to cope in their own way meanwhile guilt ridden Tobio befriends Ichihashi.

JDrama - Wakamono No Subete

So I binged watched the whole series and let me tell you, poor Takeshi (Young Kimura Takuya) was a real whumpy character throughout the series who starts living his life in total regret and guilt he feels after his friend Mamoru gets hurt because of his little mistake and ends up comatose. Takeshi runs off and starts living in a shabby dorm while washing dishes in a restaurant during daytime and serving drinks and cleaning Bars by the night. As well as picking some odd jobs along the way such as carpentery and delivery to arrange money to pay for his friend's treatment anonymously for 2 years meanwhile his friends blames him for Mamoru's condition.

******Spoilers**********

Towards the end after Mamoru's tragic demise, Takeshi loses his will to live and wanders around aimlessly drowning in guilt and alcohol, killing himself slowly and painfully as his friends watch hopelessly and finally decide to beat some sense into him. *Literally beating some sense into him*.

Series ends with him brutally stabbed and dying in the street in the middle of the night.

JDrama - Jinsei Wa Jojo Da (Friend in Need)

Hachiro (Hamada Masatoshi) is a former boxer, now working as a debt collector for a finance company, chases after Kazuma (Kimura Takuya) to collect the money he owes to the company. But Kazuma always outsmarts him and runs away so Hachiro decides to chain him up in his house until he pays off his debt.

**Hachiro actually chains him up like a pet when he caught Kazuma to prevent him from escaping.**

1. He ties him up to the chair when going to sleep or when leaving for work.

2. Keeps one of his hand cuffed to the chain attached to the wall.

3. Carries him around outside while tugging on the chain still attached to the handcuff on his hand.

4. And the very first time when he caught him, he suspends Kazuma into air as a punishment for causing him so much trouble.

J Drama - Nemureru Mori (A Sleeping Forest)

15 years ago, a family is brutally murdered leaving the only survivor, the youngest daughter, Minako (Nakayama Miho) who lost all her memories due to trauma. 15 years later, Minako starts a new life and is about to marry an elite Hamazaki Kiichiro (Nakamura Toru). One day, she discovers some mysterious letters from the past from an unknown sender inviting her to go to the "Sleeping Forest" on a certain date. Wanting to know more about herself and this anonymous person, she pays a visit to the "sleeping forest" only to find a mysterious young man, Ito Naoki (Kimura Takuya) who surprisingly knows way more about her past and present than Minako ever thought. Little did she know she has gotten herself in a big trouble by meeting this man.

I can't seem to get enough of Kimura Takuya lately. Poor Naoki suffers a little too much in the later half of series than he deserves.

Movie - I Come With The Rain

A psychologically disturbed ex-cop turned private detective Kline (Josh Hartnett) travels to Hong Kong in search of Shitao (Kimura Takuya), the only son of a powerful pharmaceutical conglomerate boss, who went missing in the Philippines while helping out in an orphanage. Kline finds a faint trail left by the ethereal Shitao, who was supposed to have been killed 7 months ago. The path leads to local gangster Su Dongpo (Lee Byung Hoon) who was also searching for Shitao, in hopes to find his beautiful, drug addicted girlfriend Lili (Fanny Lee).

**The movie is quite disturbing, definitely not for the faint of heart. But it has lots and lots of whump, all surrounding Kimura Takuya. I don't think there's any scene in the movie where he isn't covered in blood or in excruciating pain.**

J Drama - Gift

Not really a whump but I couldn't resist the temptation of his long wavy hair falling on his shoulders and *his* appeal. He looks like Japanese Dorian Gray and Manga accurate Amemiya Rin from one of my favourite Manga Yasha.

Yukio (Kimura Takuya) enjoys life after losing his memories! He's definitely serving.
