what if cedar (self insert) went to live in sugar rush when it was plugged in instead of staying homeless until the events of the movie ?

so here’s a little rundown of what the

Sugarcoating AU

is !

it begins in 1997 , when sugar rush getting plugged in was the talk of the arcade . cedar (having been unplugged for 8 years) decides to move in , just a few months after turbo would have . they quickly meet and befriend vanellope , move in with her in diet cola mountain , and code themself into the game (without the knowledge of king candy somehow) , giving themselves an entirely new appearance (the accessories were made by hand) but somehow not noticing vanellope’s codebox shoved into the corner .

fast forward a few years and king candy catches a glimpse of cedar and panics , instantly seeing them as more of a threat than he ever saw vanellope and calls for their immediate arrest

meanwhile cedar and vanellope are just hanging out day to day and finding ways to get vanellope into a race (somewhere along the way , vanellope starts wanting to get cedar into a race as well) and that transitions into the (semi) canon movie :3

cedar still has their original gimmick (that being changing rpg classes) but they dont use it as much anymore . what’s more , when they do , their separate forms take on more candy-like appearances to fit sugar rush’s aesthetic , as a result of them coding themselves haphazardly into the game !
