i need to keep reading the dc comics but i literally do not know what to read after finishing no man’s land. i’m trying to keep up with reading everything tim drake is in but also i’m not skipping anything that doesn’t have him if it’s part of a bigger arc. tim drake is just like my guiding character lmao

this is me finally asking for actual help. what should i read to keep up with him and batman in general. i found a tim drake reading guide online but it’s just saying to read all the robin comics in order and i’m like is there another big arc coming up?

ok too long the question is what is after no man’s land that also includes batfam related characters? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

actually there’s several of those in this fandom and i’m just gonna go for it. seeing that 24/27 chapters will haunt me forever tho.

like i’m not even joking there’s a fic i started over a decade ago on fanfiction.net that is at 35/36 chapters and has been since 2014 but i think about it so often. i’ve reread it at least 15 times.

no man’s land is really long lmao i don’t know what i’m supposed to be reading in between to stay caught up with side stories. i’m just along for the ride i guess. also joker in the comics like much better and more entertaining than the movie ones. no shade to you heath ledger you just scared the hell out of me. comic joker makes me laugh unfortunately. he’s still like bad guy duh but why am i laughing.

i had a plan and it’s gone to shit. was following my damn tim drake reading order and planned to stop at a certain point to read young justice 1998 and THEN I stumbled into cataclysm which leads to no man’s land which is like a long ass series but ALSO I was planning to go back and read the nightwing comics i skipped over to keep up with the tim drake reading order and NOW i don’t know what the fuck to read.

like i have to go back now for the beginning of cataclysm and for the nightwing ones but there’s also DIFFERENT reading orders online and i’m surely about to start screaming over pieces of paper!!! why don’t they line up online?? i’m gonna have to put young justice on hold but also i feel im gonna mix up my robin 1993 reading order and why are there so many dc comics and what the fuck happens when i get to damn reboots like whatever new 52 is and rebirth. help me!!

AND now i wanna read all the stephanie brown comics but i keep hearing mixed reviews about her new stuff and just bad character building and don’t even get me started on how badly i wanna start teen titans and I HAVENT READ ANYTHING with jason todd.

all i see is discourse about dc comics.. dude what the fuck is going on? can’t even form my own opinions without seeing someone else say anyone who thinks this way or that way is stupid.

is there any consistent characters? literally every opinion i see has someone in the comments like you’re crazy you’re wrong you don’t get it. don’t even want fandom interaction anymore but also i want to ask questions but also i don’t like being made to feel stupid and also i want to talk about things i like with people who like it too.

now i’m just ranting about how frustrated literally every fandom makes me but i mentioned dc since that’s where i am right now but come on can we not have separate opinions like every fandom is fictional why am i being yelled at for thinking differently if i didn’t even say you were wrong. let’s agree to disagree. god i hate this like i cannot learn anything cause everyone is so rude!!

being made to feel like an idiot because of a character i somehow got hyper fixated on and now i’m like are my opinions ok? is someone going to hate me for thinking this way?? i am trying to learn!!

oh this made me frustrated to type i can’t even get the whole thought across like i guess everyone is wrong no opinion is right. gonna just go back to silently lurking in fandoms. what happened to enjoying things cause they make you happy? i just get ridiculously upset when people say things and you ask what they mean and then they just start getting upset with you like i want to understand please stop making me feel idiotic. i’m never talking to anyone again lol.

not gonna lie i can still enjoy fanon content of characters but as i continue reading the batman comics i’m like damn fanon got this messed up.

i would never have claimed to know anything about the characters just from reading fanfiction but like now i understand why some people dislike fanfics or maybe it’s just the 90s eras of comics idk but fanon got me fucked up.

i’m still gonna keep reading both so yay this just means more confusion in my head!! literally 1600+ fanfics screaming at me versus the actual comics lmao

where’s the truth? why is there so many reboots what the fuck is canon!? how am i supposed to think of 1990s dick grayson the same way as 2010s dick grayson. nothing makes sense anymore
