Can we talk about the implications behind the image/scene they decided to use for Cater's new groovy?

YES WE ABSOLUTELY CAN!!! because take a look at this!

First, that's Alice. The protagonist of the original story!! Sure, the Queen of Hearts is in the background of this image, but the focus is on Alice. Not one of the other characters in Wonderland, like the Oysters in Ace's Platinum Jacket groovy, or the Cheshire Cat in Trey's (which also makes me so happy - that's Trey's friend!! That's Che'nya!! hafkjdlhjk). But the fact that THIS is the scene of her they chose to associate with Cater... GOOD GOLLY

She's floating alone in a glass bottle in a sea of her own tears, and it's right at this exact point she says, "Oh dear, I do wish I hadn't cried so much"!! That alone makes it heartbreaking that this is the image they chose to use with Cater. Alice is alone, she's regretful of her emotions, and is a bit, well, lost. That seems a bit like how Cater is right now, to an extent. He doesn't really have any close friends (or family, but that's a whole other essay in itself), he constantly masks and suppresses any emotion that isn't a positive one, and - judging by the beginning of Book 7 - he's also a little unsure of the direction his life is going. I don't necessarily want to read Cater as being a lonely, miserable boy, because that isn't true... though he is definitely also lonelier than he lets people realize.

Now, I don't know how the image/scene is going to be referenced in the vignette, as that will GREATLY influence the interpretation of the use of the Alice painting alongside Cater. And they may or may not be directly linking Cater with Alice here, though the decision to have this specific image as the focus of his card seems very telling to me. But just from this... there are definitely some interesting conclusions that can be drawn.
