WOW HI I HAVENT BEEN ACTIVE HERE IN LIKE A WHOLE YEAR, WOOPS

I've been afflicted with the Ao3 fanfic writer curse, I fear. 😔

So the short and sweet of it all is life has personal beef with me - specifically - for some odd reason I've yet to discover. In that time the plot of my book has changed slightly and the first draft has been tossed, and somehow I've undertaken a SECOND, COMPLETELY UNRELATED BOOK LMFAO

BUT. It's about damned time I give y'all a ✨️taste✨️ of what we've got cooking in Satan's Asscrack's Kitchen!

Cheshire turned on him then, pushing the blade of her scythe against Atreus's throat and backing him against the wall behind him.

"We are nothing alike." She snarled, unbridled fury in her features. "You are arrogant and power hungry, and nothing more. You think the ends justify the means; that your intentions absolve you from your transgressions."

If Atreus was afraid, it did not show. And if he cared that her scythe had snagged on and ripped his tie, he didn't show that either. He simply smiled at her in the same, calm and aggravating way he always had.

"Hit a nerve, have I?" He purred, holding her gaze, "How unusual for the great, unflappable ambassador." He pushed forward, then, leaning closer despite the blade at his throat. "Unless, of course, you believe it too."

She took too long to answer, and she cursed herself silently for it. "... you're lucky I don't cut your throat open here and take your head as a trophy for the lies and deceit coming from your mouth." Cheshire growled lowly, but didn't retaliate when he chuckled and pushed the blade from his neck finally.

"Careful, dear Casdriel," He purred, "To threaten and spare me twice over... well, if I didn't know any better, I'd think you were flirting." He stepped back and around her, then, moving down the hall before she'd had the chance to respond and tossing over his shoulder; "A rather bad habit to have around demons in Hell."

First sneak peek at the first draft!

This is just the first chapter, however, so still some ways to go, but one word a day is better than none!

Also, great news on the illustrator - a lovely mutual of mine has graciously agreed to assist! It will be some months, unfortunately, before I am able to scrape together the finances necessary to pay them fairly for their work, but reat assured, it will be done!!

Hello, hello!!

I've officially made an Instagram as well, with the same name as this blog! There, I will likely post updates more often, as well as reels hinting at the plot of the book and characters! But don't worry, the same content there will also wind up being posted here, too! 😉

In the meantime, there's some Life Things going on right now, but I am working on potentially finding an illustrator to work on pieces for the cast of Petrichor, so that way you all have faces to put to the names! So stay tuned for that!!

Then you may just like my book that I'm currently writing, Petrichor! The first in a series that will take you through realms and universes you may be familiar with the name of, but never would have imagined!

Follow Cheshire, a stoic Angel of Justice, as she's thrust into a conspiracy to start the War between Heaven and Hell before the Apocalypse is supposed to begin while trying to clear her name of a crime she didn't commit. Excommunicated from Heaven, but not Fallen, will she survive the forces in the shadows forming this plot? And if she does, will she be able to find the true perpetrator of the crime in time to save the Earth from sure destruction? Unsure of who her allies are and who her enemy is, she will question everything she's ever known as her reality turns upside down.
