Everything the Light Touches
"We got that monopoly after all Scar." Grian said looking fondly to his teammate. "Whatever could you mean G?" The brunette asked him looking carefully into his eyes "We are the only ones who owns the right to live." Grian pauses examining Scar's face for what seems like the last time. "Everything the light touches Scar." "Is ours." Scar finishes the quote tears welling up in his eyes. "I still can't believe you based your entire idea around the desert around The Lion King of all things" Grian chuckles through the tears The two men who have been through thick and thin seen so many people die friends, enemies hold each other closely and cried into each other's shoulders for Gods know how long.
"The Spectators want a fight." Grian said after they finished crying. "I can't hear anything G." Scar said wiping a tear from his eye. "That's the correct answer. I don't want you to hear any of this." Grian said holding Scar close. In a moment's notice the two final men alive kiss. Blame the adrenaline from killing everyone, blame the overwhelming emotions, blame Grian wanting to ignore the voices and focus only on Scar whose lives became intertwined after a simple prank that had gone wrong. "G?" Scar said looking deeply into Grian's eyes. "The voices are quiet now." Grian said under his breath using his teammate's poor hearing against him. "What G?" Scar asked
"Nothing Scar." He said having a face of reassurance. The two men held each other watching the sun set on their desert kingdom.
