Singapore Maritime Week 2022 returned on 4-8 April with a theme of ‘Transformation for Growth’. The occasion brought together experts and thought leaders from the maritime industry to discuss and share insights on innovation, sustainability, services and talent. The event also spotlighted the sector’s challenges, opportunities and trends during and after the pandemic. More than 20 events were held during the Week, involving more than 10 international organizations and over 100 keynote speakers. Pico Singapore was appointed as official stand builder for the show.

In August 2022, downtown Taipei was transformed into an off-road paradise for the launch of the new Audi Q5 range of premium SUVs. Invited guests were treated to the unforgettable sensation of putting models such as the Q5 40 TFSI quattro, Q5 Sportback 40 TFSI quattro and their respective ‘Launch Editions’ through their paces. The off-road course included a variety of driving conditions, including slopes, puddles, steep inclines and declines and challenging bumpy roads.

The China International Consumer Products Expo 2022 (Hainan Expo), one of the largest consumer product exhibitions in the Asia-Pacific region, made an eagerly anticipated return to the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Centre in July, attracting over 1,600 brands from 61 countries. Among them was JD, a Chinese retail giant, which again made a splash with a showcase of its activities in sectors including retail, logistics, technology and health.

Held in the USA and broadcasted live world-wide, the annual Google I/O 2022 tech-fest for developers was held to showcase the brand’s latest innovations. For the fourth consecutive year, Google appointed Pico to activate the hybrid event, including overall livestream coordination in the Greater China area on the bilibili, CSDN, Huya, JueJin, NetEase News, PingWest, SegmentFault, SinaTech, Sohu News, Tencent Video, WeChat Channels, Zhihu and ZOL platforms. The team also provided material design and production, and simultaneous interpretation services for the event.

The highly acclaimed event showcased 20 creative light art installations by local and international artists from 14 countries, all based on the theme ‘Spark of Light’. Starting this year, each edition of i Light Singapore will be anchored on a colour from the visible light spectrum, with this edition kicking off with violet.

In September 2021, Bangkok trembled as American motorcycle-maker Harley-Davidson unveiled the latest addition to its Pan America range at the ‘Pan America Adventure Camp’ launch event. The 70 invited participants included dealers, media and customers, all of whom were treated to a memorable programme of Enduro-style ride skills training and test ride workshops that encouraged them to push the bikes to their maximum. Yumenoshima Park Archery Field was the archery competition venue at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games held in summer 2021.
