The bar hummed with low chatter, the clink of glasses, and the lazy pull of a jazz tune from an old radio in the corner. Dim lighting reflected over polished wood, catching the amber of your drink as you traced the rim of your glass absentmindedly. You scanned the environment, taking in the people surrounding you. You hadn’t come here looking for anything—just solitude, just a moment away from the noise of the world.

And yet, the moment you saw him, solitude became the last thing on your mind.

A man you could recognize from his bounty poster.

Basil Hawkins.

He sat at the far end of the bar, a striking contrast to the warm, unrefined atmosphere around him. He didn’t belong in a place like this. Too composed. Too refined. Too untouchable. How was he even a pirate? A part of the worst generation? It was too absurd. Yet, here he sat, a vision of pale skin and golden waves that cascaded over his shoulders, striking against the dark fabric of his coat. He carried himself with a quiet, unshaken confidence, draped in his long coat, golden hair spilling over his shoulders in thick, luxurious waves. It caught the dim light, glowed like something otherworldly. He was the kind of man that turned heads without trying, not because he sought attention, but because he was simply different.

Oh, and also because half the bar recognized him from his very expensive bounty poster. Just like you did.

But it wasn’t just his appearance that held your gaze.

It was the way he sat alone with a single glass in front of him. It was the way he moved—slow, deliberate, as though he was never rushed by time the way others were. It was the way his fingers idly danced over a deck of tarot cards, a ritual so practiced it felt sacred. It was the fact that, despite your lingering gaze, he hadn’t looked at you once.

That should have been enough for you to lose interest. But the longer you sat there, the stronger the pull became.

Intriguing.

And a challenge.

Without hesitation, you motioned to the bartender. “Put his drink on my tab.”

A small, barely-there pause followed before the bartender nodded, setting a fresh glass in front of Hawkins. You watched him carefully, waiting for a reaction, but he merely stilled his hands, fingers halting over the cards.

He let the silence stretch, acknowledging the gesture in his own way.  

Then, finally, his golden eyes slid toward you.

You smiled, picking up your own drink as you stood, making your way toward him.

“You don’t seem like the type to accept free drinks.”

He studied you for a long moment, gaze sharp yet unreadable. Then, with a slow, deliberate motion, he lifted the glass—your glass—to his lips. Took a sip.

“I don’t,” he admitted.

Your smirk deepened. “And yet you’re drinking it.”

He set the glass down, tilting his head just slightly, golden strands slipping over his shoulder. “Would you rather I refuse?”

“Oh, absolutely not. I’d be devastated.” You leaned against the counter beside him, watching the way his fingers toyed with the deck of cards. “But now I’m curious—what made you accept?”

He exhaled softly, fingers stilling. “Politeness. Or perhaps amusement.” His golden eyes flicked back to you, something like interest sharpening his gaze. “I haven’t decided yet.”

You chuckled, swirling your drink. “So I’ve caught your attention, but not enough to warrant a real reaction?”

“Attention is not the same as investment,” he countered smoothly.

Your lips curled. “And what would it take for you to be invested?”

His fingers resumed their idle shuffling of the cards. “Something compelling.”

You hummed, tilting your head. “And how do you know I’m not compelling?”

Hawkins exhaled a slow breath, his gaze settling on you in that measured way of his. “I suspect you are.” He glanced at his cards briefly before adding, “I simply enjoy confirmation before assumption.”

You leaned in slightly, your smile teasing. “You don’t strike me as the type to make assumptions about anything.”

He smirked—faint, barely-there, but real. “Perceptive.”

“I’d like to think so,” you mused, sipping your drink. “And here I thought I’d have to work a little harder to impress you.”

He tapped his fingers against the cards. “On the contrary. Most people are either too obvious or too unaware. You are neither.”

“That almost sounded like a compliment.”

“It was,” he admitted easily.

You let the silence stretch, studying him, the way he carried himself. There was something deeply composed about him—not the kind of quiet that came from shyness, but the kind that came from certainty. The kind of quiet that meant he knew things before others did.

“You observe people a lot, don’t you?” you asked.

“It would be unwise not to,” he said. “People reveal far more than they realize.”

“And what have I revealed?”

He let his fingers glide over the cards, slow and deliberate. “That you’re drawn to things that resist being understood.”

You felt your breath catch slightly—not at the words themselves, but at how effortlessly he unraveled you.

“Not just things,” you admitted, voice lower.

His golden gaze flickered. “No. Not just things.”

Something electric hummed between you, something unspoken but undeniable.

Then, finally, Hawkins glanced down at his cards again, the shift almost imperceptible. “Shall we test a theory?”

You raised an eyebrow. “What kind of theory?”

Without answering, he shuffled the deck once more before drawing a single card. He turned it over between his fingers, studying it for a moment before placing it face-up on the counter.

You didn’t look away. “And what do you make of this fate?”

He took a slow sip of his drink before answering. “That I was always meant to meet you.” A pause. “And you were always meant to find me.”

Your breath caught, something warm curling in your chest.

A beat of silence. Then—

“You’re quite the romantic for someone so composed,” you teased, though your voice lacked its usual playful edge.

He smirked, setting down his drink. “I prefer the term realist.”

It was no surprise that this alliance was a bad idea. Your Captain Apoo decided to form an alliance with Eustass Kid and Basil Hawkins. Which you thought was a bad idea, why would your captain make an alliance with these two? But again…it was your captain.

The Kid pirates were a rowdy group, especially the Captain. But as time passes by you got along quite well with the other Pirates.

You’ve noticed that Kid has been more…well let’s say friendly towards you. (In his own way of course.) He would offer you personal training, considering he calls you a weak. He seemingly wanted to spend time alone with you.

You could immediately tell that he had a crush on you, you were quite flattered but in reality it wasn’t going to work out…knowing that your Captain Apoo was working under Kaido…and that he was planning on backstabbing Kid and Hawkins.

And of course the day came when Kid confessed to you…

“You heard me..I like you.” Kid said, as he stares down at you. “I would love to have you by my side, to sail by side and help me become King of the Pirates.” He keeps on talking. You couldn’t help but blush slightly, but immediately shook your head. You couldn’t…that would mean betraying your captain, despite him being annoying and unpleasant to be around. Apoo was still your captain and you couldn’t just betray him. And Kid didn’t appreciate your silence and spoke up once again.

“So? What do you say. I can show you a nice night. But of course after a date.” He smirked, feeling proud of himself. He’s Eustass Kid! He who would reject a man like him!? He stood there with his arms crossed over his chest, feeling quite confident in himself.

“No thank you..” You say softly. And Kid’s eyes quickly darted down at you. “Excuse me?” He snaps. “You heard me…I said no.” You say back, finally looking up at him. And he scoffs. “You’re rejecting me? Are you stupid? YOU’RE REJECTING ME?!” He yelled. And all you could was nod at his words. Which pissed him even more. And of course everyone heard his yelling and that’s when Killer came by his side and pulled him away. Shaking his head at Kids yelling. “YOU’RE REJECTING ME! WHO REJECTS ME HUH!! YOU DUMB BITCH! YOU SHOULD BE LUCKY I EVEN CONSIDER SOMEONE LIKE YOU!”

You watch as he was being dragged away from Killer. And you stood there, watching as he was dragged away. The guy was definitely good looking, but was definitely a huge red flag. And that’s when Apoo came by your side and patted your shoulder. He reminded you of the alliance with Kaido, and that he dropping by…

And little did you know that you were going to come across Kid once again…in Wano.

Trafalgar Law

Law hated the fact that he had feelings for you. And the worst part is that you were a StrawHat. He knew that you two couldn’t be a thing. After this alliance is over it would mean you two would be enemies.

But his heart ached for you. You were definitely the kindest from your crew. You didn’t call him by some annoying nickname, you called him by his name or even Captain, due to respect. To which made him feel weak.

His feelings started in Dressrosa. Where he was emotionally not a good place. And you were there, trying to cheer him up. And when the downfall of Doflamingo came he remembered how you smiled at him…god. You made him feel weak…he hated it.

He tried pushing his feelings down, after all this time…but time went by and you two had so much in common. And even his own crew encouraged him to ask you out.

And he did…at the festival when everyone was celebrating the defeat of Big Mom and Kaido.

He pulled you to the side, making sure you guys were alone..he didn’t need anyone around. “I have something to confess…and it’s taking a toll on me. So I’m going to be straight forward.” He began to speak, not giving you an opportunity to put a word in. “I have feelings for you. Feelings of love for you Y/N-ya..” And once you heard his words, you froze. He had feelings. You didn’t think he was capable of feeling like that. “I know this is a lot for you…but I think you would make a prefect addition to the Heart Pirates.”

You just keep looking at him as he poured his heart out. And his last words made you snap out of your thoughts. A great addition to his crew? “Excuse me? What do you mean a great addition to your crew…I already have a crew.” You say, and Law mentally cursed himself. Yes of course you were loyal to Luffy but he didn’t care. “I know. And I’m telling you I have feelings for you. And I thought we had something special between us.”

And you keep listening to him. Something special? What is he talking about. Did he mistake your kindness for a crush? “Something special? What are you talking about Trafalgar..” You say out coldly. And Law stiffens up as he heard his name..it sounded cold. “You know…I thought we had a connection, You and I. You treated me with such kindness, we have so much in common…so it’s a logical reason why I would think you had feelings for me. And if you were to be with me it would mean that you would have to leave the StrawHats. Considering they would be enemies.”

“So you mistaken my kindness for something else.” You say and shake your head. Scoffing slightly. You would have accepted his feelings but what made you so upset was that he wanted you to leave your crew! Luffy has done so much for you…he’s the one who saved you and he’s telling you all this. “I’m sorry to burst whatever bubble you’re in. But no thank you, I’m not leaving my crew. Especially for you.”

Law stood there, he was stunned…he was positive that were going to accept his offer. And with that you didn’t allow him to get an other word in, turning around and walking away. Not even bothering glancing over him.

He just stood there…rejected…this was his first time confessing to someone. And it didn’t go as planned. He was hoping you could have filled his heart with love, but he was wrong…so wrong..feeling the tears slipping out. And with that he pulls down, covering his eyes and making his way back to the Polar Tang.

I feel like he would talk about his childhood, and tell you stories about how weak Sanji was. And he would expect you to crack a smile or a giggle but earned a hard smack across his head.

And while being in a relationship with him, the servants also treat you with respect. To which you don’t want. But they insist it.

You definitely teach Ichiji some manners, like by saying. Please, thank you and etc. So the day he said “Thank you.” To a server, the server looked at him as if he had two heads. It definitely made you giggle, and it made him blush. “Aw look. You’re as red as your hair.”

He definitely loves showing you off to his bothers. He can’t help it, he wants to show off something that his bothers don’t have. And of course this leads to a lot of fights between them.

“You’re just upset, because no one is that desperate to date you guys!” “Oh please! I could get anyone I wanted!” “Yeah! No need to be show off!”

So whenever these type of things happen you tend to just grab Ichiji and walk him away from his bothers, and he’s definitely smirking at them.

He loves showing you off, I mean like shoving you to people and telling them they have someone who loves them. And bro does not care about PDA. He’ll grab you and kiss you in front of anyone. Hand holding, he doesn’t care.

I can see him using his speed to his advantage, especially when he’s messing with you. “Hey! Give it back!” You whine. And he can’t help but laugh at your pleads as he held the item you desperately wanted. “You gotta catch me if you want it.”

And again! With him having more abilities than a normal person, he’s definitely going to do everything in his power to protect you. Protect you from any danger. And when he does save you. He’s very cocky about it. “Heh. I saved you once again.” But deep down he’s always worried about you, he can’t always be there for you. And that scares him…

He does love you, but he’s not gonna tell to your face. But he loves hearing it from you. “I love you.” You say. And he has a cocky grin. “Oh? Your relationship with Trafalgar Law is a easy-going, honest one. You have a sort of Liffy-Law relationship with him, you get on his nerves but not seriously. He trusts you a lot and let’s you bother him as much as you like.

He loves you dearly, he’s not as protective because he knows you can defend yourself but he’s still there for you if you need. While communication is not his forte, he shows his affection through his actions.

However sometimes when he’s busy with his duties as captain, he’ll gift you a plushie he’ll know you like, just to remind you he’s thinking about you constantly.

Aesthetically, you guys are similar. He like a wet cat who’s dark and edgy, you’re a girlboss that’s dark and edgy. He secretly ADORES your look, his favourite parts is the choker because Law’s a freak and the fishnets because he loved the way they wrap around your legs (again, Law is a freak).

And your tattoos? Ugh, he unconsciously stares at them, wondering if they have any meaning like his tattoos do. Or if you have them just because, he still likes staring at them.

Sometimes, while you guys are in your shared bed and you’re about to fall asleep he’ll trace his fingers over your tattoos slowly. And when you are a asleep, he’ll kiss your freckles.

And Law is lowkey jealous of your comfort plushie at first because he’s right here sis, hug him him instead. But since it smells like you and it’s your comfort, he gets used to it.

Since Law is a doctor, he doesn’t really get grossed out by things like centipedes, so if you see one on board he’ll kill it for you or get someone else to do it. It happens more times that it should though.

And Law does relate with your dislike of loud noises, so often times with him are in quiet spaces where it’s secluded. Dates nights are mostly, you both snuggling together and watching a horror movie.

Law also likes how you say whats on your mind. He appreciates a partner who can stand up for themselves. Law himself is also a person who won’t sugarcoat anything for his partner, unintentionally coming off as mean, sort of like you. So even some exchanges between him and you may seem harsh to others, to the both of you it’s honesty that can be appreciated.

He can always depend on you to notify him if he’s being a good boyfriend or not. Because he knows if he giving you the love and affection you deserve, or if something’s wrong with him, you’ll tell him no matter what. It’s sort of refreshing for him. He’s drowned with work as a captain, and a direct rude comment to tell him about what he’s doing is what he needs.

And sometimes he’s amused how someone as tiny as you can be so rude and sassy. But he thinks it’s part of your charm.
