heyyy!!! yes i have read The Reappearance of Rachel Price and i LOVED IT. it was honestly imo the best mystery holly has written to date and i loved bel and ash (although no one will beat pipravi <3). im desperately waiting for it to come out in a normal sized paperback so that i can annotate and analyse it

right I'm posting the first fanfiction I've ever written and if anyone is mean I'm deleting my whole account. Deal?

Ravi sat at Pip’s desk watching over her as she slept, he knew it was creepy but he couldn't help it. Couldn't help looking at her face, the one he once thought pretty but now recognized as beautiful, and thinking about how 3 months ago he didn’t know Pippa Fitz Amobi. Now he couldn't imagine his life without her. There had been a moment when he realized she wasn’t at the fireworks that night when he thought she was gone, he thought that she hadn’t come and she was done with him, the case was solved, why else would she want to talk to him? That was before he remembered who he was talking about. There was still one burning question Pip needed answered and of course she would have gone out to find it.

His thoughts changed from fears of their broken friendship to fears for her life, Ravi racking his brain for any hints that could lead him to her. When he had found her, for a second he swore his heart stopped. She was laying on her back with Becca Bell looming over her. He thought she was dead. The bright light of Pip snuffed out, forcing him back to that house where no one ever came knocking. He’d have to sit there alone in his bedroom knowing that she was someone else he could’ve helped.

Finding her had been a relief, he was still riding on that high. He hadn’t seen her since he had held her hand on the way to the hospital and been separated as she got her stomach pumped. His mum and dad came to the hospital and coaxed him away from his pacing on the promise that he would see Pip tomorrow, but he hadn’t. She lay asleep in her bed when he came in, leaving him in silence to ponder over what he would even say when she did wake up.

They didn’t have the case to talk about anymore, it was what brought her to him. What if she really did want nothing to do with him now? She had proven his brother's innocence, there really wasn’t much else he could have asked for.

If she was done with him and their new found friendship then he wouldn't beg, he couldn't bring himself to. Even if losing her meant losing the only tether he had made to the real world in 5 years. Lost in his thoughts he didn’t even notice Pip turning over to face him, her eyes half closed and voice bleary. He rushed over to her side.

“Hey Sarge”, he said, reaching out to hand her a glass of water.

Pip pushed it away mumbling before putting her head back down.

“So much for conversation. Bold of me to assume you would come running to your dashing prince the moment you left the hospital”, she continued to lay there and Ravi had thought that his joke may have actually put her back to sleep but she reached out and grabbed his hand, swiping her thumb over his knuckles.

“Thank you, Ravi. You found me.”

He surveyed her features, her eyes still closed as he reached out and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear the blood rushing in his head.

“That’s what I’m here for Sarge”.

AGGGTM TV: Episode 6 Opinions

!!!SPOILERS OF COURSE!!!

Opinions: Guys that was not my Ravi in the last episode I'm sorry. Him leaving Little Kilton so soon after the case was "closed"??? Zain Iqbal was literally ripped kicking and screaming from the pages of the book but this writing was not. Ravi would never leave Pip with a case unsolved or doubts in her mind.

Also there was so little actual investigating, it felt like everything was handed to Pip in a way or things just clicked for her, I didn't have those "oh my go he killed her", "oh my god he's innocent" shocks that I did when reading the book because I feel like they just weren't well executed. Another thing that annoyed me was Cara just conveniently tracking Pip's location while she was in the cave, like what???

Becca was made out to be genuinely murderous I feel when in the books she was a broken, traumatized girl who felt like she had no choice.

Overall I actually think this was my least favourite episode which pains me to say.

I'll do more of an overview review in a little while once I've digested the whole show fully and maybe watched some edits.

AGGGTM TV: Episode 5 Opinions

!!!SPOILERS OF COURSE!!!

Opinions: I watched half of this episode this morning then half hours earlier so I may be jumbled in my thoughts.

BARNIE OH MY GOD. Him being hit by a car made it even more sad in my opinion and I thought it was a smart decision to tie it all back to the hit and run with Max and Naoimi.

I feel like there was a lot more chemistry between Pip and Ravi this episode which I'm super happy about (they're literally my children what can I say).

The actual investigation is not really doing it for me. There's not much actual investigating it mainly feels like the world is connecting the dots for Pip and she's just riding along compiling all of it. The reveal of Elliot being such a horrible person didn't hit as hard because we didn't grow a personal connection to him like we do in the book and the house he keeps Andie in really isn't how I imagined it but maybe that's just me.

I loved the scenes at Josh's birthday they just had a nice look to them and I adored Barney's funeral scene because even though it was so sad it gave us insight into how Pip's family act around eachother.

Now I really must go as I have work in 7 hours and am desperate for sleep. I'll be back with episode 6 (FINAL EPISODE AGHHH) opinions tomorrow!

AGGGTM TV: Episode 4 Opinions

!!!SPOILERS OF COURSE!!!

Opinions: Wow alright, I don't love that Pip's motive in the show for investigating the case is her own guilt that she feels and not just this sense of justice she has or just the genuine interest she has in crime, I feel like it cheapens her character in a way and doesn't really give her a leg to stand on when people claim she is only investigating the case for her own interest because unlike in the books her reason for investigating IS LITERALLY HER OWN SELF INTEREST AND TO MAKE HERSELF FEEL BETTER. I think Ravi was completely justified in being frustrated because omg I would be too.

I actually started to like Dan when he spoke about his and Nat's upbringing but then he was lowkey racist like come on Dan. I LOVE THE JASON BELL MENTIONS, like yes please preach to me how amazing he is mwhahahaha

I am still astonished at how they got Cara and Naoimi's casting SO RIGHT. If you told me they were actually sisters I wouldn't be surprised at all.

This is going to be something I touch on in my bigger review (for those of you who are still here lol) but I feel like Pip and Ravi have zero chemistry. I can kind of feel it but that's just because they're Team Ravi and Pip and I have been obsessed with the books for two years, if this was my first time watching I would not feel the sparks.

This felt like a negative review but I genuinely do like the show I just love to debrief

AGGGTM TV: Episode 3 Opinions

Can you tell I'm majorly obsessed???

Opinions: Okay so I liked this episode, I feel like a lot of people were excited for the Calamity party but I personally wasn't too bothered about it in the books, it just wasn't a part of the story that particularly interested me (I enjoy more character focused plots/moments). I felt that it was done well and I thought the setting of an abandoned cave (can a cave be abandoned???) was such a cool unique destination that can only really be shown effectively through a TV/movie medium. I liked Howie's casting although I personally always pictured him as late 20s early 30s to get the full creep effect from his influence over Andie.

Now I want to talk about Ravi, I love Zain as Ravi so much, his casting is one of my top 3. I don't love that he plays Ravi, in my opinion, like a golden retriever boy. I always felt like Ravi from the book was an extremely confident character often putting up almost too hard of a front because of the way people treated him and his family over Andie's killing. So on one hand I don't like his characterization but on the other I love it for the show. I'm trying to do a lot of separating my book opinions and show opinions. I like his show characterization for the romance element, I feel like they really jumped in with the awkward semi flirting and nervousness around each other and I like that for the show.

Pip's Mum is not my favourite in the show I don't know, I feel like she's very strict especially in this episode when she finds out Pip is investigating with Ravi, I enjoyed Leanne's overt shrugging of societal expectations when it came to the Singh's in the books, book Leanne would go out of her way to bring the Singh's in, but it just feels like the warmhearted, maternal, guiding energy she brought to the story in the book is missing from the show.

THE BREAK-IN SCENE. We didn't get the "real men wear floral when trespassing" that we deserved and I feel that we should declare a National Day of morning, DM with date options please. I liked the drugs being hidden in a fake teddy bear because I feel like that's such a teenage girl thing to do, like "yes I'm selling drugs and need a place to hide them, I'm going to google secret hiding places and buy the top rated from Amazon". At least that's something I would do anyway lol. I don't think I have any opinions on Becca right now but I will update you further!!
