If it's your favourite celebrity then yes but other than that no. Excluding fashion models, the idea of a celebrity being a brand ambassador was a big deal in the early to mid-2010s (2010-2017) and the 2000s (and obviously before the 2000s) but now nobody cares.

Yes!! Both social media and "influencer" culture are the reasons for a celebrity being a brand ambassador having little to no impact. I guess, too, it all really depends on how in-touch (and obsessed) with pop culture people really are...
