i’m back!
so sorry for being inactive for a good two weeks my life got hectic but i’m here again!
but while im here i’d like to apologize for being logged out. while i was gone there was a pro life account spreading misinformation on my blog via reposts and comments. they have since been deleted and blocked.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
these statements are in no way true or accurate. “abortion pill reversals” typically do not work in any way shape or form. never let stuff like this fool you please. these “practices” are not backed up by science in any way and have the potential to be dangerous.
there are many sites out there that claim to be clinics but then turn out to be pro life organizations to try to convince people to keep the pregnancy. please stick to trusted websites and resources for information and care.

hey yall!
i know that this is just an advocacy account but i still want to boost this artist i love. her name is Hannah Wicklund and I highly encourage you check her out!
the following is her latest post from instagram <3
Tumblr media
“Tonight at midnight ‘Mama Said’ from my upcoming Live record ‘Live at the Troubadour’ will be released.
The timing is not lost on me, considering I wrote this song as a 16/17 year old girl about the “relationship” I had with a 34 year old manchild named Anthony. I did not know at that time how much damage was being caused by that person or circumstance, but I wish I could just give that little girl a hug today.
I wrote and then recorded the original version of ‘Mama Said’ at 17 years old, after my brother learned about what was going on and swooped into protection mode. I wasn’t grateful then, but I am so, so grateful now. Thank you Luke.
The relationship took a long pause, but ultimately picked back up after I had recorded that album and at 18 I found myself pregnant with that man’s child.
I would not be a shred of the woman I am today had I not had the choice to terminate that pregnancy.
At that time as a society, abortion was not a hot topic. It wasn’t being discussed and analyzed in the news every day. I was able to go through that process without this added level of shame some people want us as women to feel. I was able to continue on with my life.
To hear the phrase “your body, my choice”, and to know boys in schools were taunting girls with it this week literally sickens me. I spent yesterday sobbing in the van on the way home from playing an event centered around supporting women. I sobbed for the little girls at school hearing that phrase and I sobbed for the 12 year old boys who have no idea the level of hate they are perpetuating.
To all of you good men out there, please, please, please support the women in your lives. We need you now more than ever."
Here are her socials if you would to go support her.

tina kotek… save us…. save us tina kotek…
(for context: tina kotek is the current governor of oregon and is also 1 out of 3 governors who are openly LGBTQIA+ ! Tina has been married to her wife for 14 years i believe!)
Breaking news:
New York, Illinois, Massachusetts, and California state AG’s are already stating they will REFUSE any Trump effort to do mass deportations, attacks on reproductive rights, or attacks on LGBTQ+ rights.
These states will not allow him to enact any harmful legislation without a fight. Other blue run states are expected to join them.

I'm already seeing advice from people in the US to purchase queer books and other banned or "controversial" books on paper as a way to combat the wave of government censorship that is coming. While this is a good idea (it is! absolutely!), it's not accessible to everyone, and truly, we're not going to be able to consumerism our way out of this one.
If you can buy the books, do. Whether you can buy the books or not, borrow them from your library.
Borrow the paper versions. Borrow the ebook or audiobook versions. Request the titles you want that your library doesn't have. The more a title circulates or is requested, the better librarians are going to be able to defend keeping it if and when it's ever challenged.
Use libraries like @queerliblib too. The more members they have, the better they'll be able to fundraise.
Your community resources depend on you using them. Borrow the books before they go away.
InB4: Piracy is not the solution here. We're trying to keep community resources available, not make sure individual people can read individual books. Different problems.
The books are still available. Borrowing them from your library and returning them on time and in good condition will help keep them that way.

It's a good time of year to remember the Transanta project!
Donte funds or buy something off the wishlists of hundreds of trans youths.
It does a lot to help trans kids, teens, and young adults many of whom already have a hard time with the holiday season.
The 2024 gift registries aren't live yet but should be soon.

My dear lgbt+ kids,
I'm compiling some safety tips here for people in the US here that I found online. Some things you may want to do before January:
Make an appointment with your doctor to talk about a long-term birth control plan, such as an IUD or vasectomy.
Make an appointment with your doctor to make sure your vaccinations are up to date and to get a Covid booster.
Check in, and stay in contact with, your queer friends. There’s strength in numbers. Community is important.
Consider renewing your passport if necessary.
Consider stocking up on fluoride toothpaste, pregnancy tests or other health products you worry about not (safely) having access to in the future.
Rest up. Hydrate. Eat. Take care of yourself. The best act of rebellion is staying alive. You don’t need to feel strong or brave or even optimistic, just be kind to yourself.
With all my love,
Your Tumblr Dad

hi
I'm a trans minor w/ a uterus. I've seen a few posts saying to delete all period tracking apps/devices/services etc. and paper track. Is there any reason why? I use the free version of the period tracker "Stardust", because it also has the moon cycles. I'm not sure how well known it is.
So is there any reason why we should start paper tracking? Is it that there is actually a possible threat of people checking through your period apps? For what purposes?
Tysm. I think we're all struggling rn. I hope you're doing well <333
We'll get through this, I know we will.
-B
Hi!!! first of all, thank you for asking and second congrats on being the very first ask I got!
The main reason why people are saying we should delete period tracker apps is that these period tracker apps will often keep your data and if you were to get into trouble for receiving an abortion, then law enforcement would request your data regardless of its "anonymized" status or not. They would still be able to track it back to you and your identity.
Although there is always that reason there's a lot more. for example:
Most of these apps are considered lifestyle apps, which aren't protected by HIPPA laws.
companies can buy and use your private information
there is no legislation protecting you and your data
Stardust, however, does have an encryption code system that they use. Stardust said this in the caption of their most recent Instagram post:
"We keep your data safe by storing your contact information with third parties and storing your health data against a random account ID. This means that we do not link your health data to your real-world identity."
I personally use Stardust but I am still wary of using it and I'm not exactly sure if it would still be completely safe if you live in a state like Texas or Georgia, which has incredibly restrictive laws.
The reason people are urging others to go back to the brick-and-mortar calendar method is because of concerns about data leaks that could be used against you. More specifically, the data of your last period, your last ovulation cycle, among all the other aspects of your cycle can be studied to determine whether or not you may have been pregnant and received an abortion.
At the end of the day, it's gonna be up to you if you trust Stardust, but my advice would be to only use it if you're in a blue state with access to abortion, confident you will not get pregnant from a sexual partner (SA still can happen so be wary), and finally if you decide you can trust Stardust.
For anyone interested in how to track your period via the calendar method, I suggest you consult this article from Planned Parenthood..
And to B, thank you for asking this question, it's greatly appreciated. If you (or anyone else) have questions, concerns, or needs support, please don't hesitate to reach out to me in my dm's or through asks.
Sincerely,
Post Roe Society.

Are you 21 or older? Do you have a uterus? Do you want to be medically sterilized?
If so, this post is for you!
Below is a long, long list of doctors who are willing to medically sterilize you (by tying your tubes) without a fight. These doctors will provide healthcare regardless of marital status, children, or other reasons.
Please keep the following in mind as you navigate the document below.
some of these are patient-reported, meaning that a patient who received care added the doctor to the list. Therefore, these doctors might not be completely accurate.
the rest of them submitted themselves.
most of these are submissions from the United States.
The only other places included are Canada (which is decently plentiful), Europe, Australia, and South Africa. (those have 10 or less submissions)
happy browsing!
