Samsung’s OLED Mystery: QD-OLED or WOLED?
Tumblr media
Samsung used to have a clear message about its OLED TVs employing quantum dots (QD-OLED), but now it’s less apparent than before. In their 2024 portfolio, the business is apparently combining WOLED and QD-OLED panels, and it will not state clearly which technology each TV in the lineup utilizes. Customers may become frustrated and perplexed as a result of this lack of openness.

Google introduces animated emoji reactions in Messages and Gmail
Tumblr media
Google Messages is trying out a cool new feature to make texting extra fun. It’s like whilst you send a message, and as opposed to just the use of normal emojis, the emojis do a little dance or animation. This characteristic is still inside the checking out phase, and a person named AssembleDebug located it in the beta model of Google Messages. It’s a bit like what you see in Telegram, some other messaging app. These special animations supply your messages with an active touch.
Imagine you want to react to a message with a sad emoji. Instead of the standard sad face, you get a touch animation, like an umbrella appearing whilst you press and hold the sad emoji. This extra contact makes your conversations more interesting. AssembleDebug made a video to reveal how it works. You simply press and keep a message, pick out the emoji you want, and it pops up in a fun manner above the message.

These apps even had iMessage-like features, including end-to-end encryption. But there was a catch — you had to sign in to their remote Macs with your Apple ID, making it not so secure.
