HEYYYY TUMBLLR.....
so I did a thing.
Y'know how Tumblr and Ao3 got married? You know how it's a joke ship? Yeah so somehow my ADHD brain got so hyperfixated on it that somehow I made lore.
Basically, AO3 is known as archivist, but we'll call em AO3 for the sake of recognizability. AO3 was spawned in in this backrooms-like world that is his massive library of whatever-amount-of-books they said they had.

After they spawn in, they realize they have no memory of any past. The only thing they have is a bag and the orb of light that hangs above their head as a way to light up the area around them and see the fics. The orb of light isn't visible to other apps but others can see that light is emmited from the area surrounding AO3.
Anyways, enough about the light. The library is filled with "consumers" or "readers" but I think consumers sound scarier. We can call them readers when they acctually read.
When AO3 first comes across one of these "consumers" their first instinct is to protect themself by grabbing a book and threatening to hit the consumer.

However, instead of the consumer attacking AO3 like AO3 thought it would, AO3 discovers that the books-- or "fics" fascinate the consumers. The consumer, when faced with the fic, seemed to become much more docile.
Once the consumer comes in contact with the fic, the consumer turns into a more of a "character" which aligns with the fic. (Note: not any character from the fandom but just something that matches the fandoms world y'know what I mean? Like how people make personas yeah?)
How did AO3 know what the fic was about? Shhhh.... Don't question ao3. Maybe they mind read books.

Anywho, later, AO3 discovers that they were a bit off. In order to find keep the consumers/readers happy, he must find their fandoms fics and hand them some.
So, while doing this they're also on a search for an "everything fic" so they can keep themselves protected at all times, and keep the consumers satisfied until they find the right fic.
And yes.
They do find it.
Were pretending that exists for now because I don't know if it actually does. I don't think it does. But authors never fail to amaze me.
Anyways. When AO3 gets the hang of their job, they find that they enjoy doing it. They enjoy making these consumers-- no. readers-- happy. They enjoy making the readers happy.
And later on, after a long while, they stumble upon the edge of their library, and find that they can leave to other backrooms-like spaces. One being twitters.
Twitter though, in more current times, has been going through this-- corruption. It has AO3 and other apps concerned, and ready to distance themselves. But mostly, they miss who Twitter used to be, or atleast-- some of who they used to be.

Once AO3 enters, they stumble across someone already with Twitter. Someone... Familiar. Someone they feel like they know from somewhere, but they're not sure where...

Tumblr?
Here's my character designs for them btw :3

Okay that's all for today I will be posting more tho hopefully (if u guys like it) <3

Saw your drabble ask post and wanted to send something! (Hoping I understood the assignment lol)
Guardian of Courage + Drabble ft. Hijack
Finally getting to this after how long?! Just a heads up this is half of the story I have written and the rest of it will be put on ao3 bc I got carried away (again) and have written over a thousand words in one day. Anyway if you are confused about a couple of things this is like an childhood best friends to lovers au for hijack where Jack just lived in Berk before he became Jack Frost and completely lost his memories after he became Jack Frost until recently. So yeah. (It’s 1 am if you can’t tell) Anyway, it’s definitely more than a Drabble and I’m super excited to share this!!
———
———
———
Laughter echoed throughout the halls of North’s Workshop as loud as the howling winds carrying the winter storm outside. It was loud, breathless, bordered on complete hysteria, and more importantly completely uncalled for.
Moments ago the Guardians of Childhood had their worst suspicions confirmed; the subtle signs of unrest present in the spirit world had taken form into one of the biggest threats the group would have to face. If Manny’s suspicions and North’s belly were correct– and they usually were– the Guardians would be fighting Mother Nature herself.
Despite the initial surprise, it made complete sense why she’d not be on great terms with the Guardians after banishing Pitch Black, her father apparently (though Jack didn’t see the resemblance other than crazy), to the shadow realm. Jack stifled a groan at the idea of fighting her. Pitch was tough enough as it was and now they’re facing his vengeful daughter who can control all the elements, one who Sandy has known for over a millennium and doesn’t have the most glowing review of her.
He pinched the bridge of his nose as North and Bunny began arguing over how to handle this upcoming fight, something he picked up from his significant other from the lifetime he’s watched him handle his muttonheaded group of dragon riders, now appropriately named the Wild Hunt in the afterlife.
‘Another 5 months away from home, huh?’ Jack mused to himself, despair clawing through his heart at the thought.
He half wanted to refuse. Because how dare the Man in the Moon call for a group meeting in the middle of the night? Was one night with his husband too much to ask for? Was it really? They’d been split up for a thousand years, didn’t they deserve a little time together? But he knew he couldn’t stay out of this battle. Between his friends and the new believers of Burgess, there was too much at stake to simply nope out of the conflict. It wasn’t fair to either side.
Before he could spiral further the symbols above Sandy’s head went crazy and the Moon decided to make its presence known.
Beams of moonlight flooded the room, basking the room in its pale glow. North looked fresh out of a trance as he pulled a lever close to the console controlling the globe. A large crystal slowly rose out of a trapfloor in the ground until it reached the moon rays.
“Uh, what’s happening?” Jack whispered to Tooth who was fluttering beside him. She was wearing a pink robe with matching slippers, must be she was also asleep when this happened.
“Manny’s choosing a new guardian. The same thing happened when we fought Pitch the first time.”
“Great, so the threat’s so bad we have to call in the calvary from who knows where? Great idea, Manny. Fresh meat who can slow us down,” He grumbled, still not fully awake after being woken up in the middle of the night by the Northern Lights.
She chuckled a bit as she nudged him with her shoulder, “It all worked out with you, didn’t it?”
“Touché,” He chuckled, “I just hope we get this over with soon. I got someone at home waiting for me to come back.”
“Oh, honey.” She patted his shoulder with a sympathetic look, “This isn’t gonna be quick, you know that.”
He shrugged, trying not to let the defeat show on his face, “A guy can dream?”
A low buzzing of excitement lulled to a stop as the crystal revealed the shape of two undeniably familiar figures. A night fury and his rider standing proudly beside him. Tied together even in the afterlife.
‘Is this some kind of a joke?’ Jack stifled a chuckle as the Guardians stared at the Moon’s message.
“The Dragon Master?” North bewildered. And it was at this moment that Jack completely lost it. It had to be close to 5 minutes of non stop laughter as the Guardians looked on horrified.
“Hey, what exactly is so funny, Snowflake?” Bunny asked, crossing his arms and giving that disapproving look he always liked to do.
“Oh my gods. I forgot you people actually call him that. It’s so stupid,” He only stopped to catch his breath when his sides hurt and the laughs were coming out as demented sobs. “No offense,”
“How-how was that not offensive? You’re gonna either scare the ankle bitter off or get us wrecked before Mother Nature even has a chance!”
“I’m just saying, he couldn’t even choose a different name?!”
“Jack…” North began, “Be nice. This spirit is incredibly elusive. We don’t even know where to begin looking for him.”
Jack waved him off, “I’ll find him, it’s fine.”
“Really?” Tooth inquired, “How will you manage that?”
He thought about telling them the truth straight on, but he decided to keep it to himself for now. It wasn’t like he was hiding it, no of course not if anything he wanted to shout it from the rooftops that he was in love with Hiccup Haddock the Third (A way better name than ‘The Dragon Master’ in his opinion but regardless). But he didn’t know how Hiccup was even going to react to the news, let alone how open he wanted their connection to be known. There was a reason nobody knew where to find him, he probably wanted that to stay that way.
“He’s a storm spirit supposedly, I ride the winds, finding him shouldn’t be too much of a problem.”
All the other Guardians looked to North for an answer who looked just as confused as the rest of them, “Well I don’t see why not?”
“Sweet, thanks!” He turned his heel and started summoning his wind spirit friends to give him a lift to the Archipelago.
“Jack!” North called, causing Jack to pause, “Just be careful,”
“I will, I’ll see you guys later with your newest member.” He gave a mock salute before the winds took hold of his body and threw him out of the Workshop at an alarming speed to anyone who wasn’t him.

A crack broke the silence of the clearing. It was faint at first, just a few branches rustling, but was soon accompanied by a low, deep growl that made all the nearby birds fall silent. Jack tensed immediately.
Out of the trees, a shadow emerged. It moved with feline agility, its muscles taut and head low. A pair of bright green eyes, gleaming like emeralds, pierced through the foliage before any other part of its body did. And then it came out.
The creature slid stealthily into the clearing, its wings folded but ready to spread if needed. Its skin was black as polished obsidian, smooth and dense. The way it moved—agile, silent, dangerous—was that of an experienced hunter.
Jack didn’t have time to think. The moment he saw it emerge from the trees, he immediately stepped in front of Hiccup, blocking his path with arms outstretched.
“Stay behind me!” he ordered firmly, his voice laced with alarm. “Don’t move!”
The dragon stopped dead in its tracks, body low, watching the scene with sharp eyes. It didn’t roar. It didn’t growl. But its presence was imposing—the air grew heavy, almost electric.
“Jack…” Hiccup tried to say something but was cut off when Jack took half a step forward, firm, as if he could stand between a storm and the shore.
“I’m not going to let it hurt you,” Jack said, with fierce determination. “If it takes one more step…”
“Jack, no!” Hiccup’s voice cut through his words—clear and urgent. “He’s not an enemy! He’s not… he’s not what you think!”
Jack turned his head slightly, confused, but didn’t lower his arms.
“What…?”
“He’s… he’s Toothless. He’s my friend,” Hiccup explained, his voice trembling as he slowly stepped out from behind Jack. “He’s not going to hurt us. He wouldn’t hurt me. He never has.”
Jack looked at him as if he couldn’t understand. He watched as Hiccup walked toward the creature. The dragon lowered its head slightly, tilting it, letting out a soft, curious rumble. Then it whimpered—a low, guttural sound that held no threat.
“I found him months ago…” Hiccup began to explain, never taking his eyes off Toothless. “I brought him down. It was an accident—one of my traps in the forest. When I found him, he was injured. I could have hurt him… but I couldn’t. Not when I saw him up close. There was something in his eyes.”
Toothless approached slowly, rubbing affectionately against his side. Jack could only watch.
“He couldn’t fly,” Hiccup continued, gently stroking the dragon’s forehead. “His tail was damaged. So I designed a prosthetic—a mechanism to replace what he lost. He can’t use it on his own… he needs someone to guide him in the air. He needs me.”
Jack lowered his arms, stunned. The tension in his body slowly melted away, replaced by a trembling disbelief in his chest. He looked at the dragon with new eyes—not as a threat, but as a living secret. A creature wrapped in scars and mystery.
“You… you’re helping a Night Fury?” he asked in a low voice.
“Yes. It wasn’t easy. He didn’t trust me right away. It took days just to get close, weeks to touch him. But… now he trusts me.”
Toothless gave a small hop toward them, his tail low and his body relaxed, like a curious dog. Then he stopped right next to Hiccup and huffed softly… before nudging his shoulder with his head.
“Hey!” Hiccup laughed, stumbling from the push. “You always do that…”
Toothless nudged again, this time more deliberately, and subtly gestured with his head toward his back. More specifically, toward the saddle secured with tight leather straps. The rear mechanism glinted faintly in the light, its handcrafted design tailored to his maimed tail.
“Is he… asking something?” Jack asked, still dazed.
“Yes,” Hiccup replied, with a half-smile. “He wants me to take you. He wants you to see how we fly.”
Jack looked at Toothless with a mix of respect, fear, and fascination. The dragon stared at him in silence, as if waiting for his answer.
“You’re saying I should get on that… thing with you?”
“On him,” Hiccup corrected gently. “But yes. If you want to.”
Jack took a deep breath. He stepped forward. Toothless didn’t back away. He just watched. Evaluating. Waiting.
“He already knows you’re important to me,” Hiccup murmured. “He won’t hurt you.”
Jack slowly raised a hand. Toothless sniffed his fingers… and then gently rested his forehead against Jack’s palm.
“By the gods…” Jack whispered, awestruck.
Hiccup was already in the saddle. He held out a hand, a trembling but steady smile on his face.
“Do you trust me?”
Jack took it without hesitation.
“Always.”
And as the sky began to blush with the pink hues of sunset, Toothless spread his wings—ready to take off into something far greater than secrets and fears. Into the open air. Into a new beginning.
Toothless’s wings spread with a powerful impulse. One single thrust of air under his membranes was enough to lift them forcefully from the clearing, leaving the ground behind as if it had never mattered.
Jack gasped as he felt the pressure of the ascent, his stomach left behind for a moment while his body soared into the sky. The wind hit him hard, filling his lungs and pushing his hair back. He clung to Hiccup’s waist with instinctive strength, and for a moment, he couldn’t do anything else but squeeze his eyes shut and laugh. A short, incredulous laugh, rising from the depths of his chest.
“This is…!” he shouted over the wind, unable to finish the sentence.
“I know!” Hiccup shouted back with a laugh, holding firmly to the controls of the mechanical tail. His legs were tightly secured in the stirrups, his back straight but flexible, with the ease of someone who had done this many times. For him, it was natural. For Jack, it was a revelation.
Toothless glided for a few meters, then flapped his wings strongly and climbed higher. The world shrank. The tree tops blurred into a green blanket, distant mountains looked like toys, and the sea was a shimmering mirror outlining the island as if it floated in another world.
The dragon suddenly spun, making Jack burst out laughing again as he tightened his grip on Hiccup.
“This is amazing! Incredible!” he shouted between laughs, eyes wide open and his heart pounding so hard it felt like it might take flight on its own.
Toothless seemed delighted with the reaction. He let out a satisfied growl, as if feeding off the emotion vibrating through his passenger. Then, without warning, he dove.
“WHAT IS HE DOING?!” Jack yelled, a mix of terror and euphoria in his voice.
“HE’S SHOWING OFF!” Hiccup shouted back, laughing like a madman.
The Night Fury spiraled downward, wrapping them in a sky of gold and fire, with clouds so close they could almost touch them with their fingers. Then, at the last second, he flapped his wings with such force that he launched them back up again, breaking through the horizon line with such wild grace that Jack let out a roar of laughter, a pure, fearless, unrestrained sound.
They flew for a long time. Climbing, diving, twisting over the sea, gliding above Berk’s highest cliffs, weaving through the trees like a living shadow. Jack couldn’t remember when he had stopped clinging so tightly. He wasn’t holding Hiccup for dear life anymore. His hands just rested on him. His body was free, leaning with him, moving with the same impulses, sharing the same heart that beat to the rhythm of the wind.
When they finally landed on a high ridge of the island, the sun was already sinking toward the horizon. The sky was a tapestry of orange and pink, streaked with golden clouds. Toothless curled up beside them, smoke puffing from his nostrils as he yawned in contentment. Hiccup dismounted first, unfastening the straps with practiced ease, then helped Jack down.
Jack touched the ground unsteadily, his legs trembling and a smile stretched so wide across his face it actually hurt.
“I can’t believe it,” he murmured as he took a few steps and dropped onto the grass on his back. “I still can’t believe it. That was... that was like…!”
“I know,” Hiccup said, sitting beside him with his knees drawn up and his arms resting on them, watching the sun disappear. “It’s hard to describe. That’s why it’s better to live it.”
Jack stayed silent for a moment, his chest rising and falling as he caught his breath. The wind at the ridge was gentler, carrying with it the scent of the sea.
His eyes sought Hiccup’s. Then he asked, quietly but clearly:
“Why didn’t you ever tell me about this?”
Hiccup fell still.
Jack watched him—not with reproach, but with something gentler. A mix of hurt and understanding. They had always written to each other. Letters upon letters. Stories about daily life, frustrations with their parents, dumb things about the twins, even confessions they didn’t say out loud. But never... this.
“I don’t know,” Hiccup finally replied. “I guess... I was scared. Of what you’d say. That you’d think I was crazy. Or that you’d give it away by accident.”
Jack frowned.
“Did you really think I’d do that?”
“No. Well… I didn’t know. I wasn’t sure. This was too important. And every time I thought about telling you... something held me back.”
Jack turned his gaze to the sky.
“I would’ve understood. No matter how unbelievable it was. In fact… it hurts a little that you didn’t trust me with this.”
“It wasn’t because I didn’t trust you,” Hiccup said sincerely. “It was because I was afraid. Not just of what you’d think, but of what I felt. This… what I do with Toothless, what I discovered… it changed everything. It changed me.”
Jack looked at him again. The sunset’s light painted fire through his hair.
“And now?”
Hiccup took a deep breath.
“Now… I don’t want to keep it from you ever again.”
Jack nodded slowly. Then smiled, softer.
“Then promise me. From now on… no more secrets between us.”
“I promise,” Hiccup said, with that small smile only he could give him. “Unless the secret is a surprise party.”
Jack snorted a laugh and nudged his arm.
“Idiot.”
“Your idiot?”
“Always.”
They stayed like that, in silence, as the sun slowly sank below the horizon. Toothless had fallen asleep nearby, his snout tucked under one wing. The air was cool, and the sky gradually darkened as stars began to blink into view. For the first time in a long time, Jack felt that everything was exactly where it needed to be.
Next to Hiccup.
And a sleepy dragon snoring softly like an oversized cat.
The wind was colder now that the sun had completely disappeared, leaving only an orange glow on the horizon and a dome of dark blue speckled with stars. Toothless, still drowsy, stretched with a long, guttural yawn before getting up, as if understanding it was time to leave.
“We should head back,” Hiccup said quietly, standing and brushing grass out of his hair. “By now... my father’s probably organizing a full search of the island.”
Jack sighed and nodded, though he didn’t move right away. He looked up at the sky for one more moment before pushing himself back into reality. He stood beside Hiccup.
“Do you think they’re already worried?”
“Stoick the Vast marching into the forest with a torch and an axe, shouting my name like I’ve been kidnapped by swamp trolls… yeah. I think so.”
Jack let out a tired but genuine laugh.
“Then let’s go.”
Toothless crouched down, allowing them to mount with the ease of someone who had already accepted his role. Hiccup took the front seat, and Jack settled behind him without hesitation. This time, his hands rested naturally on Hiccup’s waist—no fear, no need to cling like before.
The flight back was much calmer. Toothless didn’t pull any dramatic moves; he simply glided through the night sky, as if he understood the adrenaline had passed. The world below was cloaked in shadows, and the murmur of the sea filled the silence between them.
When they descended into the hidden cove, Jack felt the air among the trees was warmer. Or maybe it was the memory of the day, of everything they’d lived and shared. Once they landed, Hiccup dismounted and began unbuckling the saddle. Jack watched him in silence, his thoughts spiraling.
When they finished adjusting the straps and setting Toothless free, the dragon headed to his usual corner and curled up, lying among the moss-softened stones. Hiccup stood still for a few seconds, watching him, as if replaying every moment from the beginning.
“Hiccup,” Jack said, breaking the silence. “Will you tell me?”
“Tell you what?”
“Everything. From the beginning. How you met him. How you got to this point. What really happened,” he asked softly. “I want to know… with details.”
Hiccup stayed still. His silhouette was barely lit by the moonlight filtering through the leaves. Then he nodded and walked to the edge of the clearing, where they usually sat.
They settled down side by side, and then Hiccup began to speak.
He told him how it all began the day of the raid. How, in a desperate attempt to prove he was as brave as the others, he had fired a trap into the sky… and how, against all odds, he had struck a Night Fury. The fastest, most dangerous creature—the one no one had ever even seen clearly.
Jack listened in silence, eyes fixed on him.
He spoke of guilt, of how he’d found him in the forest days later, trapped in the cords of his invention, unable to move. How he’d raised the knife to kill him… but couldn’t. Because when he looked into his eyes, he saw fear. Not monstrosity. Not hatred.
“I couldn’t do it,” Hiccup murmured, his voice cracking from the memory. “Instead of killing him… I let him go.”
Jack said nothing. He simply laced his fingers with his.
“And then I came back, day after day. At first, he just watched me from afar, motionless. Then he started coming closer, little by little. He let me get near. He let me draw him. Study him. I learned how he thought. How he learned. How he hunted. How he flew…”
“But he couldn’t fly, right?”
“No. Part of his tail had been destroyed by the trap. He couldn’t maneuver. So I designed something. Something to help him. A mechanical extension I could control from the saddle.”
Jack looked at him with renewed awe.
“You did all that… on your own.”
Hiccup nodded.
“I didn’t know how to tell anyone. The only thing I was taught was how to kill them. If anyone found out about Toothless… they’d hunt him. They’d destroy him. Even now.”
Jack looked away, biting his lip. His mind was already racing ahead, thinking, planning without meaning to.
“Maybe… I should stay.”
Hiccup looked at him, surprised.
“What?”
“Just for a while,” Jack said quickly, though he had already decided deep down. “If the adults are about to find out about this, I don’t want you to face it alone. You can hide it for now, but not forever. At least… if I’m here, you’ll have someone on your side.”
“What about your father?”
Jack sighed.
“I can write to him. Tell him I need to spend more time in Berk. That I want to train, to really learn the Viking way of life. He’ll understand. Maybe scold me… but he’ll understand.”
Hiccup looked at him with wide, slightly vulnerable eyes. Then he nodded, as if still not believing this was really happening.
“I don’t know what I’d do if you weren’t with me in this.”
Jack gave his hand a gentle squeeze.
“Luckily, you won’t have to find out.”
And together, under the starlit sky and the lull of the nighttime forest, they allowed themselves a silence full of everything that didn’t need to be said. Because now, they shared everything. The secret. The fear. The hope.
And Toothless, who slept nearby, perhaps dreaming of the sky he loved so much.
If you've made it this far, thank you for reading. This isn't completely official, but it's a continuation of a fic by (@seafoamdew) called "Snatching Precious Moments from the Peaceful Jaws of Time." I was so captivated by that fic that I couldn’t help but create a follow-up inspired by it. If you enjoyed it, don’t hesitate to leave a like and follow the original author.

"So..." Ao3 grinned, their nerves buzzing. "There's only one bed."
Tumblr didn't waste any time in shoving them onto it, straddling their hips. "Seems there is..."
"I-" They couldn't help but notice the empty space in their two twin hotel room and the suspicious burn mark on the open floor. "Wait why is there only one-"
"Shut up and kiss me." Tumblr ran their hands over Ao3 frame, taking in and admiring it. "This is a crack fic, okay?"
Ao3 turned their head away a moment, embarrassed under the gaze and touch. "S-...stop looking at me like that. I know you don't mean it."
"Don't mean what?" They took Ao3's hand into their own and kissed up it.
"I know I've got a reputation... and, well, being in this bed right now isn't really helping that-" They couldn't help but snort. Tumblr smiled. Ao3 continued, "But with all those bookmarks... I know I've gotten big-"
"And you don't think I'd want you because you've got some extra fat on your bones?" Tumblr asked bluntly.
"I- w- some is understating it-"
"I love you, Ao3." Tumblr looked right in their eyes. "No matter how big you get, no matter how many times you even go down. You're mine."
"Oh..." An adorable red blush spread over their cheeks.

This Hijack idea is making me go insane so take it before I explode-
So I have a headcanon that Jack Frost can shapeshift, and that he uses it mostly for Gender Affirmation purposes
Part of that is changing the length of his hair, constantly.
So what if, while he has longer hair, Hiccup braids a strand of it, and now every time that Jack changes his hair THE BRAID NEVER GOES AWAY AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH- 💞💞💞💞💞💞
#thanks now genderfluid jack frost is going to be stuck in my head for the forseeable future /positive#i do mean it in the slightly annoyed but in the playful not really annoyed kind of way#hijack#httyd hiccup#rotg jack frost#genderfluid headcanon#genderfluid jack frost
