I know I'm going too hard on a lot of y'all, because a lot of people spouting this shit aren't even voting age.

So let me say this:

The age of revolution in the Western world is OVER. If we were going to get a revolution, it would've been a century ago. There are too many forces set against us for a revolution to be remotely possible, and even if we all just suddenly threw our entire lives away for the goal of revolution - we'd be slaughtered before we could throw a brick. Not only do we entirely lack real revolutionary sentiment, and we are outgunned and outgunned, but we're also way too fucking divided. 5 Leftists walk into a bar, 7 ideologies leave. We would never be able to band or work together to achieve our shared interests.

This, and the million dollar question: what the fuck would we do if we win? You can't answer that. I KNOW you can't answer that - I can answer that, but I'm in the small small small minority of people who can. Here's the answer: we'd balkanize and fracture into a million different warring parties and militias each trying to implement their own idea of what "communism" is. Then, we'd get collectively destroyed by a foreign capitalist power like the EU or China, and we'd be right back to working fast-food service jobs and jerking off about destroying the system again.

The only way to "destroy the system" is to work within the system to make it marginally better over time. Our ancestors understood that. Do you think we have 8 hour work days and strict child-labour laws because revolutionaries overthrew the government and implemented those policies? No. They protested, they caused a ruckus, maybe a few IEDs were thrown around, and some other schmucks voted about it.

We change things for the better by voting at the local level and by getting our hands dirty and doing things we don't wanna do, like voting for Genocide Joe. We do what we can to prevent things from getting worse, and try to help things get better in the meantime.

You're not gonna "teach the Dems a lesson" by refusing to vote. You're gonna push them further right by making it clear that Leftists are an unreliable voting bloc.

You're not gonna stop the Palestinian genocide by refusing to vote. You're just gonna gamble on letting it get worse, while also 100% making things worse for minority groups domestically.

You're not gonna change shit by refusing to participate in the only way you can change shit.

Our lot in life fucking sucks but we have to make do. We have to change the world for the better. The world won't get better if Trump wins, it'll get worse. Will the world get better with Biden in another term? Probably not, but it SURE AS HELL won't get as bad as it will if Trump wins.

You're not supposed to vote for the politician that stands for all of your values 1:1. You're not supposed to throw away your vote because both of the candidates are awful human beings. You vote for the motherfucker who will buy your group the most amount of time to get shit done on a local level, while maintaining the status quo long enough to build leftist sympathy amongst the working class

And this election we have everything on the line, again. If Trump wins, Project 2025 will destroy American democracy as we know it (and don't ANY of you motherfuckers go "what democracy?" because y'all take what we have for granted WAY too fucking much). Trans rights will be destroyed. The right to protest will be destroyed. Women's reproductive rights and potentially voting rights will be stripped away. Top to bottom people in government will be fired and replaced with conservative and evangelical sycophants. I cannot stress this enough, WE ARE FUCKED BEYOND REPAIR IF WE LOSE THIS ELECTION

But so many of y'all are ready to throw everything away because SO many of y'all are only 'Leftists' so you can feel morally and intellectually superior to others, and gloat about how 'enlightened' you are to other people. You're only in it for the social clout. You don't actually stand for anything; you lack ideology. You are merely leeches, and you don't understand what that will cost the rest of us. You fake so much sympathy for Palestinians, while voting against their interests (because Trump is way worse about Palestine and Israel lol) and totally ignoring your neighbors because they don't give you as much social clout on your Instagram stories and TikTok posts.

Why do you use they you're not non-binary

Can't tell if bait or actual genuine like misconception-led curiosity, so I'll answer seriously.

So, two things:

1.) I am non-binary, actually

2.) you don't need to have a certain identity to use certain pronouns; it's all a matter of preference.

So, regarding #1:

Gender is a very complex and weird and fluid thing, especially for me. I'm a woman, but I don't exactly present as such. I dress androgynously, I look androgynous, and I revel in androgny - but at the end of the day, I'm still a woman - I'm just not exactly a binary woman.

Some days, I feel much more like a woman than others. On other days, I'm not as attached to that identity - and it doesn't feel like "me". Regardless of how I feel any particular day, I never feel masculine or like a man. I just feel varying shades of being a woman.

Regarding #2

Pronouns are not determined by your identity. Yes, most women prefer she/her and most men prefer he/him, a lot of non-binary people prefer they/them - however, you are not bound to the assumed pronouns of your identity. There are plenty of gay women who use he/him pronouns, and plenty of feminine coastal gay twinks who use she/her pronouns despite being gay men - and there are non-binary people who use gendered pronouns, and hard binary people who use they/them.

Its a matter of comfort, and it happens that I'm most comfortable using They/She and They/Them pronouns. It just feels the most natural

Okay so I just watched a video of a boy who once identified as trans still got bottom surgery after he realized he was cis and people were so fucking rude? Like just because this cis dude has a vagina people were calling him transphobic and wishing death upon him.

So this is a reminder that when we as a community advocate for bodily autonomy and gender surgeries that means everyone regardless of gender can do whatever they want with their bodies.

If someone who is cisgender wants top/bottom surgery THEY CAN GET IT. If someone wants facial plastic surgeries that we usually find creepy like buccal fat removal or eye lifts THEY CAN GET IT. And here’s the really controversial one but if someone wants to do things that harm their body like hard drugs or diy mods THEY CAN DO IT!

Because body autonomy isn’t just “I can get bottom surgery to pass” or “I can get an abortion” it’s also all the wild stuff that makes us uncomfortable and that’s okay.

I'm reading a book named "A Guide to The Correction of Young Gentlemen Or, The Successful Administration Of Physical Discipline To Males, By Females" - essentially, a fantasy femdom BDSM book, written in 1924 by Alice Kerr-Sutherland but first published in 1991.

It has some genuinely fascinating stuff to say about gender, and I feel like it's worth looking at/thinking about in the context of Historical Gender Stuff. This 100 year old book has the following to say:
