-Ones you hate with the heat of a thousand sunburned vampires

-Ones that are actually good

-Or just ones that you remember seeing once or twice. Anything goes.

I've read so much bad romance as ✨️research✨️ lately, I don't think my braincells will survive much more.

I took a break from doing important but boring work and went to look at my manuscript. I started describing a characters Instagram account and the stickers on their guitar, and so I looked at the sticker pack in my drawer for inspiration:

This led to me trying to guess how the Japanese name for an Ancient Egyptian god was spelt in English - I tried many variations with no results. Then my computer WiFi failed and I had to continue on my phone and got so annoyed I typed in "Ancient Egyptian god that looks like a sheet ghost" and voilà his name was Medjed and nothing much is known about him aside that he spits flames and is popular in Japan.

See, when the Book of the Dead was exhibited in Japan, a mistranslation caused Japanese artists to draw him with cool laser eyes, as shown on my stickers. He got made into much merch.

Anyway this is why I never get any work done.

I don't know what he's doing in those socks, I swear they look better on paper. The photo did him very dirty.

Well now I might just have the motivation to do the Gothic Tales Pride piece I was planning before I lost my will to draw.

I am starting on the first draft of a novel at the moment, and I feel like I always write too much dialogue.

Maybe it's because I like characters with very strange brains. Makes me want to let them go on and on and on to their special somebody who understands them.

Projection? Never heard of it!

I don't know if the reader wants to read so many conversations but oh look I throw in jokes!

I'll get around to spreading them out between action, but I hope most will survive future edits.

Honestly, at this point, the book is just dialogue with the filler of vampire gangsters and conspiracies.

Also I hate writing modern people talking. Do they swear so much or is it my frustration showing?

I don't know what I'm even doing with my life anymore, these two have kidnapped me.

Meet a very well-behaved prep school schoolgirl and her 70's-disco-looking crush who is most definitely human.

The plan was to rip off Twilight, but Things Happened. There's so much angst that I don't think I can pretend it's a romance anymore. Chibi squishes for moral support.

(I'll try to get back into drawing soon, sketches like this is the only thing I can manage these days. I still don't know why.)

Hi!

I know I've already been on haitus for a while, but well, I'll be even more haitus for the next week because I'll be travelling.

I've been having a hard time drawing anything. It's not that I have any difficulties that I can pinpoint. It just never seemed to happen. And it kept not happening.

I've been working on a new writing project, I want to say it sucks, but to be fair, it's just not what I usually like to write or even to read, so I won't insult it yet. It deserves it, though. It includes someone sucking on a raw steak. And a ferris wheel. And sad things because of course.

Anyway, enjoy this doodle that hopefully I'll find the heart to finish after next week!

Somehow, I'm unable to draw cats or hampsters now, so I made MCR-themed keychain earrings and a Black Parade parade zeppelin choker. I'm strangely mesmerised by the zeppelins in the WTTBP music video.

The Hotel Bella Muerte keychain can only be seen for one blurry second in A Summoning, but I've seen many renditions made by Etsy sellers, and they all seem to agree that it has a Lil Guy.

The Desolation Row one is based on Gerard Way's trousers. It felt like a legitimate design choice at the time and I ran with it.

But I don't generally assign body shapes to my goober cats unless it's explicitly in the design of their human counterparts. So he can be anything you like.

Small cats are not always small characters (case in point: Kitty Cherik). I draw whatever best showcases my perception of the character.
