It’s been another long while since I posted anything from the Guy Upstairs but I’m back again. Due to recent episodes, there are a few things I wanted to talk about.
First off, the man of hour, is surprisingly but also not surprisingly, Ravi. I did have a theory on him working with Adam or him dying, so far neither have been confirmed but here is what I think. So far, I don’t trust Ravi. Here’s why. I’m trying to look at everything in hindsight so from my perspective, I suspect everyone. No one is in the clear, at least until they have been proven to be 100% innocent or 100% guilty. According to Rozy, Ravi seems to be the type of person who can’t take no for an answer. That’s already a red flag. Secondly, he had that outburst at the police station. To me, I’ve narrowed it down to two things. Either he’s been bottling up his emotions which caused the outburst or it was in the spur of the moment. Ravi has shown to be pretty rational so far but here’s the thing. If you look at this in hindsight, he’s a bit similar to Adam. Both are charismatic and are chasing after someone. They have a way with people and are able to gain the trust of others very quickly. The only difference is that we’ve haven’t seen Ravi commit any crimes as of right now.
Now, this brings me the latest episode, the one where Adam makes the phone call with someone. This someone seems to be close with Adam considering that during the phone call, they had the guts to yell at Adam knowing what Adam has done. I think this person is Ravi. Again, we know nothing about Ravi aside from the basics. This is just a theory, I have no actual evidence from the Webtoon to back this up aside from the lack of knowledge we have about Ravi.
That’s my little piece on Ravi. As of right now, I don’t trust him.
Next up is Hawa. During the episode when Rozy told her the truth about Adam, I genuinely thought that Hawa wouldn’t believe her but she didn’t so it’s good to know that Adam’s influence didn’t go that far with her. However, I don’t entirely trust her. To me, her reaction to Adam being a murderer is very tame(?) I know that different people take in information differently but her reaction as very brief and it wasn’t very explored. In private, she had fallen to the ground and memories of Adam came flooding in. If we look at it from a different perspective, she could have wondering what she was doing when she was with Adam to make sure she didn’t seem suspicious.
Edit: I watched an ad to see the next episode and now my previous theory seems off. However, here’s another possibility. Hawa could have been pretending to help Rozy and the cop, told Adam beforehand, and now we are left on the cliffhanger. That’s the first theory I could come up with to make the original one work.
Again, there is a chance that Hawa is innocent but we’ll see.
Next we have the cop. I just think that there’s a chance that he’s the man on the phone but I really don’t think so. It’s the similar to why I suspect Ravi. Both are kind of a mystery at the moment until we know more. For me, this cop seems neutral almost, mainly because he’s the one leading the case. Of course, it could be a ruse and he’s only pretending. He lied about being the victim’s brother and could be the man on the phone with Adam. Maybe it’s a plan to lead people astray so they aren’t associated with each other on the outside but on the inside, they’re together. I don’t know why but don’t have a lot of faith with this theory but I could change my mind.
Finally, we have Adam. I just want to point out that in episode 52, he’s mentioned that he didn’t like killing men. This implies that he has in fact, killed men before. I do think that there’s a possibility that he killed his family or maybe, just his father. That’s all I have.
Those are my theories so far, my previous theories still stand but with a couple of differences in them. I’m sorry if my theories seem a bit off from my usual ones. I usually have more to say or add more details to my theories but I’ve been very busy lately so these are all I’ve been able to come up with.
Anyways, have a good day or night!

I feel like it’s important to mention that I am not an Adam fan. The way his character written is good but as of a person I do not. Just to clarify.
I’m surprised I haven’t said anything earlier but I am now. So I’m a big fan of Hanza and their works. After reading My Deepest Secrets my trust issues did get worse but that’s okay (Joke). Anyways, after reading the latest episode of The Guy Upstairs, more theories about Adam popped into my head. When he said, “Why do you keep hurting me?” Theories in my head just went burrrr.
At first, I thought maybe the missing girl and Rosie might have been the same person but that wouldn’t have made sense because first Rosie was an orphan at a young age and I think it said that sister went missing three years ago.
I do agree with the theory that Adam is using Hawa to get closer to Rosie, I can’t tell if he genuinely likes Hawa or not, for now, I’m going to say no because after My Deepest Secret, everything and everyone is a suspect.
Also, I think Adam might have had a relationship with the missing girl but she might have done something to hurt him or has repeated hurt/abuse him (Quote, “Why do you keep hurting me?”) One of theories I came up with is that he still loves her and he’s looking for a replacement but without the abuse and pain. If a girl he was dating hurt him even the slightest, it could trigger his trauma and he would just kill them. However, if I look back on previous, the first person we saw die didn’t seem to have hurt him before but then again, she died before we knew too much about the relationship.
The more I think about, the more I realize my theories don’t really make sense but I would like to hear other theories!
Also, I can see where Hawa is coming from if you look at Adam. I’m not saying Adam is a good person because he definitely isn’t , but look at him for a moment.

Okay, so, long story short, I finished Sumeru. Before this reblog, my view of Sumeru lore is based purely on interest media. Since I have finished Sumeru, I would like to note a few things. First, I feel like this would be reversed. Both characters as really complex and I especially like Kaveh. I think their dynamic is funny and I feel bad for mischaracterizing them earlier before. Anyways, that’s all I have to say, I just kind of had to get it off my chest.

This is going to another post on the webtoon “The Guy Upstairs.”
I’ve read the most recent episodes and a few theories have bubbled up in my head and I feel the need to share it with everyone.
First of all, it’s been confirmed that Adam’s mom did have the same wavy brown hair as all his victims. We also saw a small of peek of his father who has the same hair as Adam. Now, this doesn’t completely debunk my theory from my last post because here’s a couple of theories I’ve come up with.
We don’t know the relationship between Adam and his mother but from his past relationships and his current one with Hawa, I came up with some ideas.
The first one is, maybe his mother had an abusive with Adam and now he’s seeking the motherly love everyone else had. The requirements he set so far is that they must look like his mother and if my original theory is at least somewhat correct, be kind. At least, to him. As we can see, small, even accidental acts of violence and aggression toward Adam can make him snap. I don’t really believe this theory because it seems a little obvious but because it’s obvious that no one suspects it so therefore, the author can pull a full 180 and use this and no one would suspect it.
The second theory is that maybe Adam didn’t have an abusive relationship with his relationship. Maybe they even had a healthy relationship. Maybe, Adam looked up the his mother and father’s relationship because it was so amazing. They might have told him the typical love story like, “Oh, I met your mother by chance at the park. I saved her from a hoard of pigeons and it was love at first sight.” And after his parents died, (Assuming they’re dead. I don’t remember if Adam mentioned it but even if he said they were alive, I wouldn’t trust him.) Maybe he wanted to intimidate their relationship. It’s also possible that he wanted to be just like his dad so he went to look for a girlfriend to build a relationship with. If the relationship didn’t match the fairytale he had in mind, he would kill them.
I think this theory is a little more plausible because it could explain why the first girl we saw (Back in Adam’s apartment) died. It didn’t seem like she was violent, if anything, she seemed timid. It’s possible that there was just one specific thing about her that Adam didn’t like that caused him to kill her because it didn’t match up with his idealized relationship.
The fourth theory ties into the first one in this post which is basically the exact same but instead of an abusive mom, he had a kind one and he’s desperate to replace her after her death (Again, assuming his parents are dead.)
The fifth theory is that maybe his parents are either divorced or widowed. If Adam had idealized their relationship for so long, then this would crush him. He wants to recreate his parents his relationship by putting himself in a relationship. Adam parents could have been the pillars for his entire life and once one of them is gone, he breaks down completely. At first, this started off as innocently enough. He would date and then break up with them. But then, Adam could grow paranoid. What if one of them tells a friend what a horrible relationship they might of had. What if they exposed his family life? What if one of them posted their relationship online? Then everyone would know him. Eventually, his thoughts got to him and he went to kill the as a “safety procedure.” It unclear how many girlfriends he had but we can all safely guess he must have had quite a few.
After this theory, we move onto ones that have to do with other characters.
Next up, we have Rozy.
By this point, I’m almost certain that Rozy isn’t related to Adam. I don’t think she’s related to the police man either because the timelines don’t match up but it’s still possible.
The theory I have so far if Rozy is related to the police man then his parents originally gave Rozy up for adoption and had another child later. The child, being his sister, could be either biological or adopted.
Now, time for the Rozy theory. This theory is that Adam isn’t actually the killer. It’s Rozy. Here’s why I think this is possible. What if that small memory we saw of Adam’s isn’t actually his? It’s Rozy and she’s just projecting herself onto Adam. All of Adam’s thoughts could apply to Rozy the same way Rozy’s thoughts could apply to Adam. Those parents could have been Rozy’s parents and after they died (I’m assuming from a car accident because they were shown to be inside a car), she unable to understand that they died from an accident and it’s easier for her to understand that someone forcefully took her parents away from her. She could few Hawa as not just a friend but also a mother figure. Once Adam came into the picture, Rozy doesn’t understand how Hawa could be actively choosing to leave her, at least, from Rozy’s perspective. Either that or Rozy remembers her parents’ death and sees Adam as “death” personified. This make it easier for Rozy to understand that someone is taking someone away instead of someone just naturally leaving. It could be a way of coping for her. For Rozy, she still needs to somehow justify how Adam’s a death so she either imagines all the killings, or the killings really did happen and she’s just blaming Adam, or lastly, she killed those people herself. It’s possible that her body was moving on it’s own and she just doesn’t remember it. This theory doesn’t explain how the woman in Adam’s apartment died but it could explain why Adam saved her.
Maybe Rozy rented out both apartments and allowed Adam to live in one, in the apartment, she killed the woman and Adam caught her. Of course, in Rozy’s mind, Adam is a killer but in Adam’s mind, Rozy who might even be his friend, just killed someone. Rozy fell out of the window and Adam caught her because he didn’t want another person to die. His motive’s could have also been a little selfish and he was worried the police would suspect him murders and throw him in jail.
At some point, it’s possible Rozy was actually friends with Adam but maybe the pills she’s been taking has been messing with her memory.
That brings me to another couple of theories. Either Adam had been supplying Rozy’s boss with all these pills (First Theory), claiming that it would help her or Adam really is Rozy’s friend (Second Theory). This cycles back to previous theories. Whether his parents are dead, divorced, or widowed, he sees Rozy as his only friend and she can’t remember him. He’s been desperate enough to kill people in hopes to somehow trigger memories of their friendship. Adam secretly hopes that Rozy remembers him and tries to reason with him by using their friendship. If this theory is true, then Adam’s end goal wouldn’t be to replace someone with a girlfriend, instead, it would be have a friendship with Rozy again.
If this theory is true then that would mean that maybe the only reason Adam chooses to date Hawa is because she’s the closest thing to Rozy that he’ll ever get. Maybe he’s given up on trying to save Rozy and convinced himself that Hawa is enough.
I don’t really believe in the theory that Adam is killing to be Rozy’s friend because to me, it doesn’t make sense and it leaves too many questions. I do believe it’s possible that Rozy is just projecting herself onto Adam though.
Finally, we have the last theory. The Hawa Theory. What if Hawa’s the killer. Here’s how this could possibly work. As we can see, she’s very sociable and many guys like her. Not all guys have good intentions, however. Hawa knows this as we can see. What if Hawa is framing Adam? She’s been projecting all her worst fears onto Adam because she knows that Rozy will try to protect and care for her. She likes that sense of protection. Even though Hawa has what seems to be loving parents, they’re old and can’t do much, unlike Rozy. Hawa could enjoy that sense of safety. That’s why she kills to frame Adam. Adam would be unaware and Rozy wouldn’t immediately report him because Rozy knows that there’s no concrete proof. It’s also possible that Hawa has somehow deluded herself into truly believing Adam is a killer.
Honorable Mentions and Questions:
R.I.P Milo, you will be missed. You will always be alive in our hearts.
The Ravi Theory. It possible he’s a murderer or an accomplice or can save convinced to either help or become one. He can work for Rozy or even someone else. I think he would work for Rozy, that just seems more likely but I’m. It sure. We don’t know much about Ravi so a lot is up for interpretation. He seems to have connections and he doesn’t seem like he could be suspected of murderer. When Rozy asked Ravi how he found out that there was a party that the suspect attended, he was very brief and said he just wanted to helpwhich caused me to be suspicious of him. He always knows people very well, at least, people he’s acquainted with which means it’s possible that he knows how he can manipulate them. He’s already shown to be good at bribery as seen with the confession page guy.
Either that or he could die soon, in that case, Ravi, you will be missed.
Is Adam interested in men? What if Adam meets a man with gorgeous long brown wavy hair and that man is kind and caring toward him? Would Adam wave this off because he’s only interested in woman or would he shoot his shot and ask out the man?

Okay, so I realized I never posted anything about any BL I’ve read so I have something I would like to say. Am I the only one who has Xue Meng from The Husky and His White Cat Shizun as a favorite character? I like Mo Ran and Chu Wanning, they’re all great and I love them but I never see Xue Meng get any attention. I know he’s a side character but still. I see almost no content for this man, like, just him alone.
(For the record, Xue Meng my favorite character in the series, not like, all time favorite. Although it might change. I’m still waiting for the fourth book to come out.)

Sometimes I think about Dottore's "I have no intention of being rejected by my homeland for a third time" voiceline and how he sounds genuinely bitter/disappointed that he wasn't acknowledged by the nation as a whole. How he still values everything Sumeru stands for and still sees himself primarily as a scholar despite being outcast and branded a heretic.
How he has ascended beyond the limitations of the Akademiya and yet the very first thing he does is go back there and work with the Sages to do something he very easily could have achieved himself through underhanded means.
How he doesn't even try to hide it, because the very first thing you hear about him is, "I hear the Heretic is back", and the very first thing he does is introduce himself to the Traveller in a grand expression of his genius and innovation with the Akasha because he wants to be seen and acknowledged.
Dottore ultimately went too far but he still sees himself as fundamentally Sumerian; still sees Sumeru as his homeland even if he sees himself as above it. He still lives and breathes everything Sumeru raised him to be.
Sometimes I just think about that, you know?

Something I've sort of noticed about the Harbingers is that (thus far) each one is a perfect representative of their home nation's Ideal, and that it's a fundamental betrayal of that Ideal - in their eyes, at least - that causes them to become Harbingers.
My favourite example of this is (unsurprisingly) Dottore. When you look at Dottore from a purely objective standpoint, he is the living, breathing Ideal of Wisdom. Everything he does is in pursuit of Wisdom; every experiment, every grandiose show, every failure - because there is something to be gained from failure, isn't there? Scaramouche's ascension to godhood was a failure, after all, but Dottore still recognises that it isn't a complete loss. He still learnt something in the process. He still attained something he didn't know before. That's why people tend to note that it's the experiment Dottore is more interested in than the actual result; an unexpected outcome is just another avenue to explore, more information gained.
He seeks knowledge on that which shouldn't be known because it is the purest form of knowledge. Forbidden knowledge is still knowledge, after all, and knowing it is a form of power and Wisdom that very few can lay claim to. Why limit oneself to knowing that which is easily attained? Why not press onward to the absolute destruction of ignorance? Why not learn the very secrets of the world? Isn't that what Wisdom is?
That doesn't mean that he's right, of course - Wisdom is also the ability to recognise why you shouldn't stare into the Abyss and the consequences that will occur if the Abyss just so happens to stare back - but it does mean that he is the purest form of the Ideal Sumeru holds at the core of its existence.
And I simply find that fascinating. Dottore as he sees himself - and, frankly, as he is - is the best scholar to ever walk Sumeru's forests. If knowledge is what they ultimately seek, the limiting and outright banning of certain topics of research would naturally seem to go against the overall Ideal of Wisdom. It would be very difficult to understand why he was turned on by the people who should have lauded his achievements when all he did was strive for ultimate perfection of the Ideal he was raised to hold dear.
So naturally, he would view that as a betrayal of the very Ideal itself.
Nevermind the fact that he is, technically, very wrong - Nahida is the one who defines Wisdom, after all, and her definition is very different to Dottore's - but the point remains. It's his conviction of the Ideal that makes the betrayal sting, and that makes him a prime target for the Fatui.
If they're trying to overturn the old ways, after all, it makes sense to use people who are as representative of and driven by the Ideals as the archons themselves.

Everyday, I just have to urge to make a visual novel because I already have characters and story and plot and all but like, how do you make a visual novel? I played them before and it’s usually some kind of giant project where a much of people work on it together. I do not know that many people in my life who are able to help me make a visual novel. Like, yeah, I imagine they can help with art and stuff but coding? Yeah, no. I don’t know how to do that and our computer knowledge is at a minimum. In the mean time, I’m just writing like, all my character stories and origins.
On the plus side, my writing and art skills have gotten better over the years and I actually have confidence in my skills. I’ve also finally tried digital art. It’s not that bad! It’s just insane because I’m so used to traditional paper drawings and now it just feels weird (In a good way!) copy and pasting an eye on my art.
I think I might start posting my writing on here or post links to my writing here too!

No, because why do I agree with this? Recently, I’ve been upset with the newest chapter because the Emperor announced he was adopting Medea in front of VERY IMPORTANT FIGURES IN SOCIETY and normally, I think I wouldn’t really care, I mean, I would but I wouldn’t really react but here’s the problem. IT WAS HEAVILY IMPLIED THAT EROS AND MEDEA DID THE DEED AND I HATE THAT SO MUCH. It already made me mildly upset but even PEL told Medea she would regret it and she IGNORED HIM. WHY? And now if she’s adopted then that’s like insect basically and I really don’t want to use that word because I love this webtoon so much but in my mind, that’s what it is. Kinda because Medea’s adopted but I really don’t think that makes it any better. If there’s a word for what this situation is then please inform me. Honestly, I think I would like it better if Medea just stayed with her mom and I’m not saying her mom is good person, I can barely even call her a “mom” but I had this feeling that Medea might have had a plan in mind to not kill but make her leave the Dukedom. I’m just saying that I thought Medea had a plan and I’m literally praying that Medea tells the Emperor that she still has a mom so she doesn’t get adopted because I really don’t know how I would feel if she really did adopted. I don’t know but I think there was a certain point in the webtoon when I got scared of where the plot was going but I decided to ignore it because in my mind, I was like, “No…The author wouldn’t do that to this webtoon…”
I really hate how I've gone from avidly recommending Your Throne to telling people who ask about it to not bother or only read to a certain point or only read certain chapters if they just want psydea
