@lunarriviera talked about wanting to depart from american academic realism… idk if i am ready to depart, because it’s a style that i really enjoy, but i do need to switch it up every now and then.

i’m a big fan of opening in media res, and it shows. so much of my favorite fiction, fannish and otherwise, has that air of familiarity that settles around you from the first word onward, and i really try to emulate that in my writing. i wouldn’t say that it’s achieved yet, but we’re building toward it.

I've been way stressing about the Zukka big bang, but I suppose that makes sense considering it's a big deal. Waiting for inspiration to strike sucks

I'm gonna have to go ahead and tag @sword-and-stars who knows exactly which character I dream about dragging into her superhero au and the angst ridden, action packed drama that would come from it But to be fair and actually share an idea, I'll say that I've always dreamed of a certain Piandao-centric spin on agni-kai's hired verse, which we've affectionately named "weekend at Piandao's" and involves some lovely D/s vibes between Piandao and Zuko/Sokka.
