If you don’t change, what changes? I am in a much better headspace than I ever have been. My journey to get here hasn’t always been smooth sailing but no matter how many times things dipped and I didn’t think I could get back up again, I changed. If you don’t change, how does your situation change? You’re always going to repeat the same cycle. Try something new and be open to it. Baby steps. It won’t happen overnight but give it time. A few days become weeks and its as simple as that. Sometimes you have to lose yourself along the way to find yourself again. Sometimes you need to hear it from someone else. Find someone who can enlighten you. I am so grateful for the amazing support my friends give me. It’s amazing how many people care about me and how little it matters to me when I’m exhausted with life. In a time where it matters the most, why do we shut down? I have lived with depression and anxiety for the almost two decades. There were moments where suicidal thoughts were actionable. Nothing felt like it mattered more than to end the pain and suffering. What people don’t realise is what goes on in our heads. It’s all in our heads. Our worthiness, our morality, our reality. In those moments nothing matters than how we see ourselves. Don’t ever forget those around you, I have found recently that if I start naming people who are there for me and remembering the good/happy moments - the pain of feeling alone, useless, worthless, an enemy to myself...
