Watching The Flash (series) for the first time and I find it weird how Joe is a father figure to Barry and he raised him alongside Iris but Barry ends up dating Iris several times. Barry and Joe's relationship is very father-son coded but nobody sees a problem with Barry dating his adoptive sister. It's not incest, it's just odd that nobody points out how weird it is. When Wally was introduced, Joe told him that he thought of Barry like a son but then Barry started dating Iris again later on. It's so weird how it's not wrong. It feels like it should be wrong but the only connecting thread between Barry and Iris is Joe. When he's not around, it's just a normal relationship.

The Flash can go back in time by moving so fast that the effect happens before the cause. If he spins his arms around fast enough, he can give himself arms, and not just after-images either. He will send his arms back in time to trail after the arms of his past self. The alteration to the aerodynamics this would cause would make his arms even faster and make him gain the extra arms earlier in time. All this to say, The Flash can gain extra arms in an instant.

I hope more characters get added to The Digital Circus. I've seen a few OCs for the show but they all just seem like the pre-existing characters in terms of personality. I want a character that actually prefers the digital world over reality and really vibes with Caine.

If I was in the digital world, I'd be pretty chill with it I think. Real life sucks and you can do basically anything in the digital world if you can convince Caine to let you.

Jason: yeah me and B are on ok terms now,

Dick: oh you guys are getting along-?

Jason: well we’re doing ok, I’m not mad at him anymore.

Dick: thought you wanted him to kill the Joker?

Jason: i did, but then like last week i went to the manor and i saw him smash the coffee machine with a hammer because it didn’t fill his mug enough; and i just don’t think he’d be a good killer.

Dick: *light wheeze* because he broke the coffee machine?

Jason: well it was just- *cracked grin* he gets- he gets angry, you know? and he’s not good at self control? like that machine did nothing and he just destroyed it. and i was just thinking about how, like, he decided that adopting kids was an acceptable thing to do, and now he has like eleven of us,

Dick: *silent cackles*

Jason: like he can’t see a kid without thinking ‘wonder if i can draft this one’. i think if we managed to convince him killing was ok it wouldn’t go well. he’d just keep doing it.

Dick: *through laughter* because of no self control?

Jason: yeah, like once he crosses that line he’d probably step over it at any minor inconvenience. he gets addicted and he gets mad at a lot of things.

Dick: so B shouldn’t kill?

Jason: no.

Dick: but you can?

Jason: well i- *wheeze* i have practice honing the rage, i don’t kill for stupid reasons. *pause* apart from that one time.

Dick, audibly amused: what time?

Jason: i sneezed and accidentially pressed the trigger.

Dick: *loud cackles*

Jason: i felt bad, man, like his cat was there-

Dick: *falls off his chair*

Jason: how are you this apathetic.

Dick: is that where Damian’s new cat came from?

Jason: it’s not like i could just leave it there!

Dick: i thought i saw trauma in it’s eyes. it had that wartime stare.

Jason: the blood spattered right across its fur. i had to bathe it.

Dick: Damian thinks it has anxiety

Jason: anxiet- dude it has more than anxiety, it has fucking PTSD-

Dick: *wheezes harder*

Power Rangers SPD handles this well. A lot of the time, the Rangers do use their Zords at the start because the aliens also use giant mechs. The Rangers don't use their Zords to crush the aliens because the aliens are considered people and are instead arrested for their crimes.

Why don't the Power Rangers just summon their Zords at the start of the fight and step on the monsters? It solves so many problems. Most monsters don't grow until defeated and when they do, they're completely healed. The only difference would be that they don't risk their lives fist-fighting the monsters on the ground and wasting time when they could just skip to the big stuff. I'm writing my own Power Rangers story and I have several explanations for both why the Rangers don't use their Zords immediately and why the monsters don't grow immediately.

I'm just realising this is one if the only things the movie got right. God damn.

i'm watching a Deltarune LP in Japanese and found out that Tenna has a cute quirk where he ends a lot of his sentences with でしょう ("deshou") but he combines it with SHOW in English ("でSHOW" or "deSHOW")

Being a person who pays attention to politics and is affected by others suffering around you is really odd because I’ll be going through my day filled with dread, grief, worry, etc. because of y’know, everything going on right now, and most of the people I encounter are just completely oblivious. The “big beautiful bill” just passed today, which on top of many other things, likely means that a TON of Americans are going to lose their healthcare, and everyone is still going on as normal with all the 4th of July bullshit. It’s insane to me; I don’t understand how you can go and celebrate a country while that country is actively trying to kill you. I get there’s nuance and that life can’t stop every time something happens and all that, but it seams like people don’t even care anymore unless something is effecting them right this second.

But according to the people around me my whole “caring about others” thing makes me a “bummer” to be around so idk, maybe I am the crazy one for giving a damn at all at this point.
